Susie is originally from South Carolina and joined our team with over 15 years of dental experience! She has worked as both a dental assistant and in the front office, making her super well-rounded and a perfect fit as our Office Manager. Susie greets everyone she sees with a warm smile and a kind heart, and she makes our patients and team members feel at home when in our office. When not in the office, Susie loves spending time with her fiance, two children, and their golden doodle, Jax.
Brooke graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from UNC Chapel Hill (go Heels!). She worked as a Hygienist in the Raleigh/Durham area for 12 years before relocating to Lake Norman in 2011. She is passionate about educating her patients and providing their preventative dental care, ensuring your smile is bright and healthy! Brooke and her husband, David, reside in Mooresville with their 3 energetic kids, Guynn, Caroline and Connor (twins!), and their goofy Wiemeraner puppy, Mosby.
Katie is from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), and she relocated to the Lake Norman area in 2017. She is a very passionate and caring dental assistant and brings many great qualities to our team! She specializes in making sure our patients feel comfortable and carries a contagious positive energy. Katie loves to spend her time on Lake Norman soaking up the water & sunshine with her three golden retrievers (Peter, Lily & Sophie).
Dr. Aunon had owned a private dentistry practice in Centreville Virginia for more than 25 years, but after numerous heart to heart discussions, in December 2020 he sold his dental practice. He and his family decided to start a new chapter of their lives and relocated to Cornelius, North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, he purchased the Cornelius Dentistry office and became a member of the Mecklenberg dental community.

He believes in having the most up to date technology that dentistry has to offer to greatly reduce and eliminate any fear of going to the dentist for the adult, teen, and especially the child. Dr. Aunon has had the honor to work with Shenandoah Learning Services in Virginia, a rehabilitation institution for people with brain injuries. The goal was to rehabilitate the patients back to a normal life.

Dr. Aunon assisted the Shoulder to Shoulder organization with a Medical/ Dental mission trip to Pinares, Honduras. Pinares was chosen as the site which we will adopt because it is one of the poorest areas in Central America.
During the week long trip over 110 people were treated dentally, which mainly consisted of multiple teeth being removed. Poor nutrition along with sodas and lollipops is the root cause of their poor dental health.

Edit: 8/29/22 Beware the predatory/dishonest night guard sales these people are pulling. I agreed to do impressions on their fancy new 3d mouth scanner for a night guard. At the time of agreement I was told it was covered 50% by my insurance and that would cost me about 300$. I agree to do the impressions and am told that it will be ready in a couple weeks. I go in to collect the night guard and they don't ask me for any money or give me a bill/invoice when i go to the desk so I'm thinking it's 100% covered or something. Then I get a bill in the mail several months later for 600$, with the description left completely blank! I call and ask what this is, and the lady rudely accuses me of lying to her about what I was told! I say I am happy to pay the 300$ but I will not be able to pay 600$, and wouldn't have agreed to do impressions had I been told that cost upfront! Pretty sad that I originally made this review (at their request) praising their services.

Super friendly staff, from the front desk, to the hygienist, to the doctor! The dentist seems to make a lot of people nervous/anxious, myself included, and I was not here! Brooke was very thoughtful, thorough and complementary of my teeth! I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them for years to come!

Great dental experience!!! Dr Aunon and his hygienist, Brooke were very thorough and used state of art technology to assess my dental health and establish a plan for the future. Dr Aunon is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. He truly cares about his patients. I left with sparking clean teeth and the assurance I was in great hands. I am so glad I changed dentists!

What a great experience. I came to Cornelius Dentistry as a second opinion after another dentist and plus returning from abroad with almost zero experience with dentistry's in the US - from the get go, all the staff members were so helpful and honest. It is so clear that this business puts patients first. So appreciative of all the staff! Such a quality experience!

204 reviews, every one is 5 stars, and I am not surprised. If you are nervous or scared of the dentist, I recommend this office. One visit truly changed my perception of what going to the dentist is supposed to feel like. Every individual, every interaction is done with care, and feeling, and a willingness to accommodate. The staff truly is remarkable. I felt listened to, the explained everything in full, answered all my questions very well. We set a plan that made sense to me, and I feel more confident about my teeth now than I have in 10 years. Could not recommend higher.

The team here is phenomenal. I was new to the clinic, and wanted to get a cleaning before I moved out of state. I ended up needing two fillings fixed, and Susie worked hard to squeeze me in, notifying me of any and all cancellations before my departure date. This was my first filling with Dr. Aunon, and it is honestly the best one I've ever had. It was efficient, painless, and I was in and out in a little over 30 minutes. I'm disappointed I just found them as I was departing, but recommend them to anyone looking for a positive experience going to the dentist :)

Wow! Simply amazing dental experience! I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist! From the minute I walked In for my first visit, the ENTIRE staff was amazing. My family and I are still very pleased with our experiences at Cornelius Dentistry. Everyone there goes out of there way to make sure the patients are at ease from the waiting area to the examination room. My kids and I loved how attentive Denise (sp) and Doctor Aunon were yesterday. Brooke and Susie are always wonderful as well. In my opinion the best oral care practice in Cornelius.

Walked in for my appt. Immediately greeted by Susie. Super friendly and nice. Taken back for my x-rays and pictures of my mouth. The dental assistant was so good and got all done quickly. The Dr. came in for a consultation and made me feel at peace and confident in his plan of treatment. All the staff, a clean office, and a very smart and skilled Dr. made me feel like I made the wise choice in choosing them. So so so happy I found them. I highly recommend that you go here for all your dental needs!!
