I love being an orthodontist! Creating beautiful smiles and helping people improve their self-confidence is truly rewarding. Every day, I enjoy the friendships I have made with my patients and their families. My goal is for each patient to feel comfortable with me, my wonderful team, and most of all with every aspect of their orthodontic care. It is an honor for me to give my patients personal attention at each visit, and the amazing smile that will give them success!
Dr. Cornejos education in dentistry and orthodontics has provided her with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience which she uses every day to achieve optimal results for her patients. Dr. Cornejo attained a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She then graduated with high honors from LSU with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Because she is committed to excellence and wanted to further her education beyond her graduate dental degree, Dr. Cornejo completed a year-long residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at LSU.
Due to her passion for creating beautiful smiles and love for working with children, Dr. Cornejo decided to devote her professional time exclusively to practicing orthodontics in the Winter Haven area since 2001. She completed two additional years of post-graduate residency in the specialty of orthodontics at LSU in New Orleans. Here, Dr. Cornejo trained under many well-known leaders in the orthodontic profession and became exceptionally proficient with the latest technological advances in orthodontics. She earned her certificate as a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from LSU, and has been practicing orthodontics exclusively for over 19 years in the Winter Haven area.
By participating in several different venues of continuing education throughout the year, Dr. Cornejo stays current on the latest technology and orthodontic treatments. She attends lectures at professional orthodontic meetings, participates in study clubs, engages in orthodontic webinars, and reads monthly orthodontic journals and publications. She especially enjoys participating in Invisaligneducation as this is an area of orthodontics that continues to change and improve. Dr. Cornejo feels strongly that continuing education allows her to provide her patients with more options and better orthodontic results.
Dr. Cornejo is grateful to be part of such a wonderful community, and believes in supporting schools and programs locally that provide positive, fun activities for children to help improve their confidence and self-esteem, form friendships, and encourage physical activity. She supports the community by contributing to school programs and fundraisers, as well as sponsoring local childrens sports teams such as soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, dance, and cheerleading.
Dr. Cornejo met her husband, Rigo, during college and they have been happily married for over 20 years. They have three amazing children that are their pride and joy: Christian, Emma, and Grace. Theirthree dogs, Cody, Coach, and Jenny, are also important members of the family. Dr. Cornejo is very involved in the activities of her children and spends most of her free time watching their soccer games, attending dance recitals, and helping them with their school projects and homework. As a family, they enjoy playing soccer, boating, swimming, watching movies, and taking fun vacations.
Barbara assists Dr. Cornejo in the clinical area with patient care. She ensures the clinical area runs smoothly and efficiently, and that our patients receive excellent, caring treatment. Barbara began her career in dentistry in 2003 when she joined Cornejo Orthodontics.
Jackie joined the Cornejo Orthodontics team as an experienced and highly qualified Certified Orthodontic Assistant, who has been providing Orthodontic patient care since 2014. She is happily married and has 2 children. Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, taking her children to theme parks and reading to them.
Charli Cornejo is a friendly Shih Tzu who is currently working at Cornejo Orthodontics. He brings smiles and the ability to hug anxiety away during the day and is the the Dr. Cornejos family pup at night. Charli is free to roam about the office looking for patients who could use some affection. Therapy dogs have been shown to reduce stress and anxiety and Charli can be a loving companion for our patients.

The staff and dr Cornejo are very nice and welcoming every time I am there for my appts, and it was a long process but I am super happy with the results and thankful for Dr Cornejo for doing the best work every day!

I would like to say a big Thank you to Mrs. Conejo and all her staff. Mrs. Jaime at the font desk always greeted us by name. The staff was always on point with scheduling appointments at our convenience. I would give them 1000 stars if we could. My daughter Adelayda always came out with the biggest smile on how nice everyone was. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Cornejo Orthodontics, Dr. Cornejo, and her whole team is AMAZING. They were so helpful when needing to get in for broken wire etc, thorough in explaining the treatment plan, and incredibly patient with my teenage son! Our whole family has used Dr Cornejo, even myself. Highly reccomend!!!

Dr. Cornejo and her staff are great. I'm 66 yrs old. I fell and knocked a lot of teeth lose. Dr. Cornejo took me on as a patient and fixed all th issues. I will always be grateful.

Just finished having my braces done. The staff is amazing. They treat you like family and make sure you know everything about the process while you have braces. Very clean facility.

I am very unhappy with this place. 2 months ago, I was so excited about getting my teeth straightened I wanted to start right away. She said invisuline wouldn't work for me so I needed regular braces. Without talking to my husband first, I gave her a $250 deposit to get started. The only thing she did was take a panoramic X-ray. After talking with my husband he said we could afford almost $6000.00 for braces at this time. I called to cancel and asked for a refund. At first she said yes she would put it back on my card. A week later she called and told me the X-ray cost that much and she couldn't refund the money. I can see maybe $100 but to keep the whole $250 wasn't right! Now We sold our house and have extra money, but I would never give them my business again. I went to everything about smiles instead, and got invisuline for $2,000 cheaper! Just sayin!!

My daughter loved coming here because each staff member is super friendly, and they have a little cute office dog. They explain everything so well and answer all questions. Jamie at the front desk always accommodated our schedules and followed up as necessary. Dr. Cornejo is awesome!

Dr. Cornejo was so generous and helpful throughout this whole process. I had braces with her during the pandemic and I was going to school outside of Winter Haven. They always worked with me and helped me schedule appointments that worked for me. Very caring doctor who cares about her work and wanted the best smile for me!

Dr Cornejo and staff are excellent to work with. My son was always treated kindly. Some scheduling issues would arise and we were contacted promptly and rescheduled quickly. My son had other dental work needing to be done and we were referred, helped in making these appointments and not left to do everything on our own. Everyone was always very polite and courteous in the time frame we were there. My son now smiles with confidence!
