Dr. Yoodong Moon was born in a small rural town in South Korea. Since he was young, he loved to explore and traveled to many countries. He also studied abroad in Australia and Japan. Then he moved to Maryland, where he began his career at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Moon moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and practiced full time as a general dentist for several years, thus gaining broad experience in all fields of dentistry. When his daughter was born, he and his family moved to Palatine to be near his wifes family.
Dr. Moon remains updated on all the latest dental advancements by continuing to attend educational courses and seminars. He also diligently reads professional journals and publications in all areas of dentistry. He has completed a leading implant course, Implant MaxiCourses at Loma Linda University, Endodontic courses at DELendo with Dr. Buchanan, and many others.
He devotes many days to continuing dental education courses, well above the requirements of Illinois law. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Moon and wife, Yun, have a lovely daughter named Adelyn. Dr. Moon enjoys playing golf, soccer, and table tennis, and loves spending time with his daughter.
Dr. Sylvia Kim was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in several cities. After receiving her bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kim considers the Midwest her home and was thrilled to move back after graduation. She is pleased to be serving the Greater Chicago area as a General Dentist. Dr. Kim is passionate about maintaining the oral health of all of her patients, and she is committed to providing her patients with comfortable and quality dental care. In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
HygienistJennifer is one of our Hygienists and has lived in the Schaumburg area all of her life. She graduated from Harper College and has been a Hygienist for nineteen years. Jennifer finds joy in the relationships she has built with her patients. She takes pride in her work and is proud that she gives her patients a positive experience while maintaining a gentle touch. Jennifer is married with two active boys, with which she thoroughly loves watching their sporting events.

Dr. Moons grandmother trying to eliminate sugar bugs in her mouth with pesticides is a childhood memory that still haunts him till this day. Dr. Moon is clearly a very well-trained and skilled expert on doing surgeries involving implants. He is incredibly knowledgable in this specialty, which would seem something of an 'art.' And he thoughtfully seeks to minimize innate fear of doing such involved procedures. You're in very good hands with the Dr. Moon. Also all his staff are very responsive and helpful toward facilitating your understanding of insurance costs and explaining after care concerning procedures.

Last week I had an emergency visit and from the very beginning my experience was one of the best I have ever had at a dental office. Deb on the front desk (what a star she is) is really amazing she put me at ease and couldn't have been more helpful. All the way through my treatment the staff were courteous and thoughtful, this will not be my last visit here.

I was so happy with my experience with the staff at Corinium dental. The hygienist, Jennifer, is so gentle and thorough--my kids love seeing her! Dr. Kim was especially fantastic for a first time cavity experience. I am so pleased that the new dentists are as good as the last!

It took years but finally found a good dentist. You can tell Dr. Moon cares about the work he does and his patients. Takes the time to answer questions, gave his advice and we put together a game plan. When working on my teeth, felt comfortable and he makes sure no pain is felt. It's a positive environment. I feel relaxed in the chair. And I've been known to loosen an arm rest or two in a dentist chair. Very happy to finally have a dentist I can trust and makes me feel comfortable

Great dental practice. Dr. Swanson and all of his staff are very dedicated to making sure my issues are taken care. They go above and beyond. If you need a dentist, Dr. Swanson is the one to go to.

I remember always being terrified of the Dentist. But a year ago; I referred to Doctor Swanson...and he totally changed the game for me in terms of trusting an expert to help me with my MANY complicated dental issues! An extraction is NEVER pleasant; but his work and the care of the whole staff there really took great care of me. I'm definitely coming back soon.
