Dr. Yoodong Moon was born in a small rural town in South Korea. Since he was young, he loved to explore and traveled to many countries. He also studied abroad in Australia and Japan. Then he moved to Maryland, where he began his career at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Moon moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and practiced full time as a general dentist for several years, thus gaining broad experience in all fields of dentistry. When his daughter was born, he and his family moved to Palatine to be near his wifes family.
Dr. Moon remains updated on all the latest dental advancements by continuing to attend educational courses and seminars. He also diligently reads professional journals and publications in all areas of dentistry. Dr. Sylvia Kim was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in several cities. After receiving her bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kim considers the Midwest her home and was thrilled to move back after graduation. She is pleased to be serving the Greater Chicago area as a General Dentist. Dr. Kim is passionate about maintaining the oral health of all of her patients, and she is committed to providing her patients with comfortable and quality dental care. In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
