Dr. Corey has specialized in periodontics and implantology in private practice since 1974. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Society, Casco Bay Study Club and several other dental societies. Dr. Corey's private practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery and interdisciplinary treatment concepts to achieve the best treatment results in the area of dental implants and perio-prosthetics. Dr. Corey graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his doctorate degree and Certificate for Graduate Training in Periodontology. Dr. Corey has lectured extensively all over New England and the Northeast.
Dr. Then has been in private practice limited to periodontics and dental implants since 1995. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a member of several dental societies, including the American Academy of Periodontology and the International Team of Oral Implantology. Dr. Then's primary interest in private practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery and interdisciplinary treatment concepts to achieve optimal treatment results in the area of perio-prosthetics and implantology. Dr. Then graduated from the University of Frankfurt School of Medicine, and Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He received his Certificate for Graduate Training in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and received his doctorate degree from the University of Frankfurt School of Medicine. In 2003, Dr. Then founded the Casco Bay Study Club, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Saltz graduated from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he obtained his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Periodontics. He completed his dental training at Nova Southeastern University, as part of their accelerated dual admission program. He also received a Master of Public Health degree, while in dental school. Dr. Saltz is chiefly focused on minimally invasive surgery, perio-prosthetics, and digitized implant workflows to deliver the best in interdisciplinary care for his patients. He also received extensive training and certification in IV conscious sedation during his residency.Dr. Saltz has been published in several scientific journals and lectures nationally on periodontal and peri-implant disease. He was a finalist in the 2019 American Academy of Periodontology Balint Orban Memorial Program for his clinical research on immediate implant protocols in the esthetic zone. He won the 2020 Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence, presented to the nations top overall graduating resident for outstanding character, service, leadership, and academic achievement. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

I was seen yesterday at this practice by Dr. Then. I was referred here by my local dentist, and this periodontist is the only one within 2 hours of where I live, there is nothing on the midcoast, and that alone is infuriating. First thing- The office is out of network with insurance...ANY insurance. They will bill you up front for the entire cost, bill your insurance, and then credit your account with them if the insurance does pay something. You will not be reimbursed directly at all unless you ask the front desk to let YOU bill your insurance. Its entirely silly and makes no sense. Second- Dr. Then was extremely condescending to me as soon as I showed frustration that they don't take insurance, which was entirely uncalled for and unprofessional. Dr. Then was late to my appointment. I was early. Expected your time to not be respected. I paid $145 for a 20 minute visit where all he did was give me the exact same exam my dentist gave me just last week. Dr. Then showed visible frustration when I winced in pain while he was violently jabbing my gums that he KNEW were already sensitive. He did not take this into consideration at all, and I would expect more from a doctor who specializes in gum treatment. I drove over an hour to be seen by this doctor, he told me what every other dentist has told me and then left the visit with "Well, I hope this was worth your time". It was not. I paid him for 1 hours worth of exam/consultation time and got 20 minutes of attitude from him after he violently stabbed my gums. I had the exact same exam with my local dentist a few days prior to this visit, this was a waste of time and money, the prices are extremely inflated, they are out of network with ALL insurance, and they use the fact that they're the only periodontist in the area to justify all of this. I'm honestly sad for my local dentist because he doesn't have anywhere else to send his patients. I believe this doctor did give me his honest opinion, but it came at a price, and everything else that happened during this visit has completely deterred me from this office; you should steer clear as well if you aren't well off enough to afford this practice's prices or have any kind of frustration with them not taking your insurance.

Staff is personable but very professional. During my surgery Dr. Then walked me through everything as he was working which helped me feel more relaxed. Assistants were confident and helpful as well. Love the atmosphere.

1st time and felt right at home. Capable and friendly staff. Dr. Then is very nice, honest and concerned. I felt everyone was at the top of their game and overall I had a great experience. I'll be a regular now!

Dr.Corey Had incredible bedside manner, great to meaner and strong conviction in his work. I feel I am in good hands to proactively manage my health concern. I have been to a different periodontist in town and experience was night and day.
