Julie Bushman BS, RDH graduated from the University of Iowa with a Baccalaureate Degree in Science 1993. This was only a start of a Health and Wellness journey that expanded into a variety of levels throughout her career. Wellness is Julies Key Focus for her patients. Julie also has an active License in Massage Therapy and with that license includes knowledge and practice in modalities of Shiatsu, Energywork, Reiki Master, Aromatherapy, Nutrition, Bach Flowers, Sound Therapy, and Reflexology. From 1999 to 2018 Julie owned and ran an Excavation Company with her former husband. Organically created from 1 dirt job and a dream, it evolved in a multi-million-dollar company. Julies main roll was CFO, which also included Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payables and Receivables, Marketing and True Grit - ALL THE THINGS thats included in a Small Family-Owned Business. In 2014 to present, Julie studied and is a current student of Bob Proctor with Proctor Gallagher Institute and has Mastered Thinking Into Results. Studying with Bob and his philosophy inspires me to keep GRATITUDE as the focal point of everything I do. Julie brings ALL this knowledge, perspective, and experience to CWD beautifully mixed with Health Guru, Motivator, Entrepreneur and a splash of Bartender. As if dental was not enough, Julie enjoys bartending for Venuworks, Cedar Rapids entertainment hub as a side hustle.

After almost 3 decades of Dental Hygiene, Julie picked CWD to call HOME because 'I finally found a dentist whose true CORE is PREVENTION. Dr. Rubel leads our team with the philosophy of WHOLE HEALTH DENTISTRY starting with the Entry Point; Your Mouth!' Since employment with CWD, Julie has been able to add to her education a specialty in Sleep and offer this wisdom to her patients. If presented, patients will learn how sleep impacts their overall health. Julie knows how to screen each patient for risk factors and through education allow patients to make choices that give them better quality of life. Outside of work, Julie is an avid Harley rider, World Traveler, Scuba Diver and Gym enthusiast. Her Faith is Strong and is interwoven in everything she does. She is often leading and inspiring others to be the best version of themselves in missions to help the underserved and her community. Julies #1 priority is her children and Mini Aussie named Murphy. As much as possible, Julie enjoys spending time with her 4 children, 2 grown, successful and on their own and 2 still at home active in cheerleading, Show Choir and Scouts.

My experience with CWD was better than I could have ever expected, the staff was fast and friendly. They looked out for my best interest and really made me feel comfortable the moment I came in, if you need dental work done i recommend Dr. Reubel and Coral West Dental for a comforting and accomadating experience.

Coral West Dental goes above and beyond any dentist office I have ever been to. They give you total care. In less than three hours, I had two root canals and two crowns done and it was completely painless. Their work is exceptional, Their staff is awesome. I will never go anywhere else.

This is the best dental experience I've ever had the doctor was excellent professional very personable kind of an old town dentist and if I move away from here I will fly back here to have all my dental work done here I am very nervous about needles I have a lot of anxiety with needles I didn't even feel the shot literally asked him if he was going to start and he said he was already done. Absolutely amazing he was quick precise and it made the experience comfortable for me and I can't say enough good things

Was here for the first time today and I was extremely impressed! Wish I could remember the hygienist I had name because she was amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable and personable! The place was also very clean, easy to get to and scheduling is super easy!

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist. My previous dentist retired and I had a dental emergency.....ughhhhhh. A friend of mine referred me to Coral West so I gave it a try. EVERYONE was wonderful!! Courtney at the front desk was extremely helpful and efficient and got me in the same day. Dr Rubel was EXCEPTIONAL as well as his staff, who all work together as a great team with no "Debbie downer"attitudes. Everyone is very cheery, polite and knowledgeable. I was expecting the worst and got the best. I had 2 teeth pulled and one tooth rebuilt and a crown put on...all with NO pain!! I have found my new dentist for sure

I absolutely love both of my experiences at Coral West dental. I had a gap in between my two front teeth and Dr. Rubel did composite bonding over six years ago. I just recently returned to have it touched up and once again he outdid himself. I live over 2 1/2 hours away and will make that drive any day for Dr. Rubel. His work is just fantastic. All the staff is wonderful and greet you with the biggest smile. All I kept thinking was how happy all the staff was while working. My teeth looks so natural you would never guess I had a big gap. It's incredible how your smile can change your self-esteem.

This is by far the most Thorough, Professional Office I have ever been to. Most Dentistry practices do the bare minimum & do not care about your overall health. Coral West does and Dr. Rubel & Dr. Behrendt are amazing, professional & make you feel so comfortable. Probably why so many Medical Professionals recommend Coral West Dental for Treatment.

Awful experience! No one would return my calls or did any follow up after investing in my sleep apnea mouth device. Coral west dental literally got my money and from there out didn't return phone calls. Had sleep studies and no one ever returned my calls to let me know the results. Absolutely no follow up. Would definitely NOT recommend coral west dental. Extremely disappointing.

I have dental anxiety and they took really good care of me here!!! The dental hygienist explained everything to me and talked me through my dental X-rays, pictures and suggested feasible solutions too. She didn't just dish me out a list of problems, she told me what was wrong and what I can do to fix/reduce the problems. She also helped me figure out how my insurance will cover for my visit before we began with the dental work.They were also very good with talking me through the financial part of it, I'm big on planning for unexpected costs so I felt like they really met me halfway with talking me through my insurance and finances. It was my first time at their office and I was really impressed and satisfied with their service :) Thank you

This past May I had broke a back tooth and it was so painful. Well every dentist office I contacted would not take me because of my Leukemia. They didnt feel comfortable working on my teeth. Or another response was they dont accept state insurance. Well after feeling defeated I called Coral West Dental explained my disheartening day of no one willing to help me. And I finally said I'd understand if they wont take me either. Well few minutes later after the front desk lady put me on hold She said Dr. Rubel heard my story and would take me as a patient and get me out of pain. Since then he has fixed most of my teeth damaged by age and Chemotherapy and I have cried tears of joy because I have a confident smile thats whiter and healthier. He saved me from losing my teeth. Also he has the most caring, wonderful staff I've ever met. Its been so life changing and wonderful. Ill never see another dentist again. Thank you Dr. Rubel and all the wonderful ladies on staff!! My life has forever been changed for the better. Dr. Rubel also has made sure to get me products I can use at home as well to help keep my teeth in their best condition and leave me worry free.

Been here three or four times now and every single time they are running late, at least 10-15 minutes late. Then it's usually an additional 10 minutes of sitting in the chair waiting for the hygienist to get situated or find their gear or I'm not even sure what. Last time I went I don't think anyone was in my mouth until 40 minutes after the supposed start time of my appointment. I also feel that they try to up-sell every possible treatment. The people are nice, and I feel like my teeth get taken care of, I just wish they could be on time and stop trying to sell my an antibiotic that my insurance doesn't cover. If I need one that bad prescribe something that insurance covers. If it wasn't such a hassle to switch dentists, I would.

The best dental office I've ever been to. At my first appointment, my hygienist showed me pictures of all of my teeth, explained what everything meant, and showed me a better way to brush. All things I wasn't shown at previous places. Everyone here is nice and has an upbeat attitude and my mom, who works here, even says that she feels more at home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Every appointment I have had at Coral West Dental has been phenomenal. My most recent appointment for gum therapy was truly exceptional. Sadie went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that I understood what each step of the process entailed. All of the staff are friendly, and Dr. Rubel is amazing.

After doing some research about Zoom whitening, I found Coral West Dental! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed and supported through the whole process. The staff made me very comfortable!! My results are amazing and I'm looking forward to getting this done once a year! My "AFTER" is pretty incredible!

I have had some rough dental experiences and because of those I have developed quite a bit of anxiety about picking a dentist. This is NOT one of those dentist's to worry about. They are kind and explain to you thoroughly about your health. They do not rush and they treat you like a patient who they care about. No gimmicks, just solid dentistry. 10/10 the place to go : )
