Whether you are undergoing an extensive treatment or you suffer from general dental anxiety, our team is here to help you feel at ease in the dental chair. Our safe and effective sedation options include nitrous oxide and IV sedation. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is a clear gas that is administered through a nose mask that makes the patient feel giddy and relaxed. IV sedation is a relaxing sedative that is administered through an IV, and your dentist can customize how much sedative is released. I was born and raised in the Gila Valley. Aside from the time I served on a church mission trip to Brazil and the time spent away at college, I have always lived here. I always knew that I wanted to live here and serve the people of this community.
I attended Pima High School and studied at Eastern Arizona College (EAC) and the University of Arizona. I received my dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. I am a third-generation dentist. My grandfather, the late Darrell D. Cluff practiced in the Valley over 67 years ago, and my father, Lynn W. Skinner practiced dentistry here in the Gila Valley for over 46 years. I am honored to carry on our familys tradition of providing quality dentistry to the residence of Southeastern Arizona.
I was born in Anchorage, Alaska. My father was in the Air Force, and we moved several times until I was 14 when my father retired and we settled in Mesa, Arizona. I graduated from Westwood High School, and I served a mission for my church in Seoul, Korea. I am an alumni of Arizona State University (ASU) and Brigham-Young University (BYU). By the age of 12, I knew I wanted to be a dentist, and I finally made that a reality when I received my dental degree from Creighton University.
I have lived in Mesa ever since graduation and love it there. I have practiced general dentistry at my private practice in Mesa for the past 29 years and have come to the Gila Valley and practiced for over ten years. I really enjoy coming into the Gila Valley and providing the community with quality dental care.
Dr. Palmer is an Arizona native. After serving the people of Australia for his church for two years, he attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then did an AEGD residency in Illinois to become sedation certified. After school, he began his career in the Air Force, traveling the world to give patients healthier smiles. Dr. Palmer has been practicing dentistry for ten years and is passionate about helping patients have a healthy smile. In his free time, he enjoys being active outdoors, sports, and adventures. But even more than that, he loves spending time with his wife, Debbie, and their seven kids.
Dr. Lees family roots are generations deep in the Gila Valley. He graduated from Thatcher High School, and after serving a church mission in Idaho for two years, he met his wife Christy (East) while attending Eastern Arizona College. Just two months after they were married, they moved to Oklahoma for six years to finish his schooling. Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, and then they returned home and have felt privileged to raise five children and serve patients in the Gila Valley since May 2000.

I am VERY impressed with this dental office. I have 8 kids and they have been great with all of them. I went in for an appointment with my baby and they were very accomodating and helpful when he was fussy (either giving breaks or having people watch him, with my permission). I feel they have communicated very clearly what's going on, what to do and the cost. And that goes for every dentist and hygenist that I have worked with there so far. I would highly recommend them.

A shaky start. Too many people don't listen, or think they know better than the patient. I asked to see Dr. Skinner for a very good reason and was told a time and date to go in. I went in, only to find they had me seeing someone else. I had a good reason to ask for Dr. Skinner and they should not have set me up with another Dr. without telling me, in my professional opinion. I left and went back at a time when Dr. Skinner could see me. After that, everything went very well and everyone was top-notch professional. Kudos!

this office is amazing from the receptionist to Dr. Skinner and his assistant. first time visit and I was so impressed with the work he did.he was very detailed about my upcoming treatment with my options. I should of came here first when I started all my dental work. I'm so glad I found this office. it's above a 5 star to me.

I've been seeing Dr. Skinner for many years now. He has fixed all my upper teeth when he had nothing to work with. My teeth were bad, I'm talking worn down to the gum. I use to not smile because I had no self-esteem because I knew how bad my teeth looked. I highly recommend Dr. Skinner. He has done an amazing job on my grill. Not only did he fix my teeth, but in doing so he has also helped my self-esteem. I am always smiling these days. My whole family gets work at his office. The staff is very friendly, kind, and helpful. For me and my family, Copper Hills Dental is the spot. I highly recommend going here for your dental care.

Copper Hills Dental is so friendly and such a relaxed environment. I don't really care to go to the Dentist just because. However having gone to Copper Hills for the past 4 years I am almost over that nervousness. They do a great job.

I've been going to this dentist for a long time like 10+ years and can't imagine going somewhere else. Everyone here is polite and helpful, not only is the dentist great the whole staff is wonderful. My son started being seen here when he turned 3 and he's 8 now and has no fear of going to the dentist. The TVs in the roof are a big plus too.
