Dr. Fresques received her Bachelor of Science degree from Westminster College in mathematics before attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she graduated with honors and fulfilled her dream of becoming a dentist. As a student, she utilized her skills and talents to provide free dental services to the underprivileged communities in Honduras and downtown Pittsburgh. In 2012, she completed a general practice residency at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City. It was a privilege for her to care for our nation's heroes and she was grateful to expand her dental skills and knowledge. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Salt Lake South Dental Society. She is board-certified to practice family dentistry in Utah and committed to positive, personalized dental experiences for her patients of all ages.
With nine years of experience as a general dentist in Syracuse, we are pleased to introduce our new doctor, Dr. Candice Fresques DMD, to our patient family. She was carefully selected by Dr. Mat Mouritsen, our previous owner and dentist of 28 years, for her exceptional dental care and comforting, friendly demeanor. She is now excited to offer her services to you in West Jordan, Utah and its neighboring communities. Together with her highly experienced and diverse team, Dr. Fresques strives to make every patient's experience at Copper Canyon Dental as enjoyable as possible. She is not only committed to your dental health and listening to your dental concerns, but she wants to improve each patient's mind-body wellness too.
Born and raised in Davis County, she has enjoyed living near our beautiful mountains and providing comprehensive quality care in her home state. She is married to a supportive husband, Dustin. They have two children (Gwen and Felix) and two new puppies that keep the family entertained. In her free time, Dr. Fresques enjoys crafting with her kids, camping, hiking, yoga, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
Kyra is our amazing Dental Hygienist! Her favorite part about her career is being able to interact with so many different people and hearing about their lives. Its all about building relationships and flossing. When she is not busy keeping her patient's gums healthy, she enjoys physical training, eating cookies and hanging out with her adorable dog, Rogue.
Lesly is our lead Dental Assistant. She was born in Mexico City where she studied dentistry for a few years and discovered her passion for helping people find confidence in their smile. Later she moved to Salt Lake City after getting married, and has been married for 14 wonderful years. When Lesly is not helping our patients in the office, you can find her practicing or teaching yoga to adults and children.
Allie is Dr Fresques' sister and she has worked with her for the last six years as a Dental Assistant. She is currently studying to be a radiology technologist, but she cannot get enough of dentistry and loves taking care of patient's oral needs. She's a newlywed who loves children, hanging with family, crafting, and cooking Sunday dinner.
Maddi is the Office Manager here at Copper Canyon Dental. She grew up in Utah and enjoys spending time with her family, hunting, camping, and traveling. She loves children and does Respite Care for twins with special needs. She's passionate about volunteering for the Mascot Miracles Foundation where she is actively involved in fundraising and event planning to create lasting memories for families with special needs and terminally ill children.
Our Dental Receptionist, Ashley, is always prepared to greet you with a smile. She grew up in a large family in Salt Lake City and enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She is a coffee enthusiast, a dog mom, and a traveler whois drawn to the ocean and adventuring outdoors.

I had a crown fixed and cavity filled last time and Dr. Fresques was wonderful - attentive to detail and able to complete it all in one visit with their cool 3D crown printer! Returned back for another cleaning and another amazing job. Kind and thorough staff. I also brought my 2.5 yr old who had a not so exciting (for either of us) visit to a pediatric dentist earlier this year. The hygienist was kind & patient showing him all the tools while she cleaned my teeth. He eagerly let Dr. Fresques check his teeth and even said, "I like the dentist." We will 100% be back. If you love supporting woman owned businesses, especially with great care & service - this is your dental office. Update to share that they are still wonderful. My almost 2 yr old & 4 yr old do so well with their gentle staff.

The staff is super friendly and professional. The teeth cleaning is gentle, and when I had to get 5 filings, they let me schedule them all on the same day. Which was a marathon for everybody involved but very much appreciated by me since I hate getting my teeth filled and I wanted it all done at once.

I've been seeing Dr. Fresques at Copper Canyon Dental for about a year now and can honestly say I won't ever need to find another Dentist. Difficult procedures were painless, relaxing, I even fell asleep getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Just got my teeth whitened and it's surprising how much more confident I feel. If there were more than 5 stars I would have selected that!

This is the first time I've been to a dentist, or doctor for that matter, that has been as interested and concerned with my personal health and well being. Dr. Fresques is a gifted practitioner that works as though she were sculpting marble, and some of my cleanings may have been, haha. I've recommended all of my family. Your in excellent hands with this team, and truth be known, I'm vain, so this is working out for all of us!

I visited Copper Canyon Dental yesterday for my hygiene appointment. Haley is amazing!! She took the time to deep clean my teeth and was friendly. The front office is knowledgeable on insurance and Dr. Fresquez is wonderful. I love going there because they know me and are all so nice. Thank you!

The hygienist who cleaned my teeth(I wish I could remember her name) was top notch! She was super friendly and had a real chill vibe. Also, Dr. Fresques is always so helpful and informative.everyone here is great. Even Ashley, who scheduled my next appointment, was awesome.

This should be the first choice in dental needs. While I was in Dr Fresques chair, I almost fell asleep she was so gentle and smooth. She is my dentist and should be yours. The staff is so helpful and fun. Worth the fifth star.
