As a kid, Dr. Cooper went on a several mission trips and experienced firsthand how fulfilling it was to help people in need. He realized that dentistry was a great career for helping patients escape chronic pain, discover newfound confidence, and enjoy a much higher quality of life. All these years later, hes never regretted his decision for a second! Dr. Owens is a big believer in helping patients understand the importance of oral health through providing an experience that is enjoyable, informative, productive, and dare we say, fun! He previously owned another dental office in Chardon. Now, Dr. Owens only practices in Geneva to ensure he can provide patients the top-tier, one-on-one dental care they deserve.
Dr. Owens attended UC San Diego for his undergraduate degree, achieving his Bachelors in Biochemistry/Chemistry in 1998. From there, he attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, he was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship by the United States Air Force.
Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a Captain in the USAF, serving as dentist there for six years. Hie active duty service began by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. After being honorably discharged in 2008, he and his young family moved to the Chardon community, and purchased the Geneva dental office in 2008.
When he isnt busy caring for teeth, Dr. Owens spends lots and lots of free time with his beautiful wife, Theresa, and their six kids. His biggest personal hobby is golf! In fact, hes got a golf dome in the back of the dental office so that he can practice between patients. He also regularly goes on dental mission trips, providing vital care to underserved populations.
Dr. Duqum comes from a dental familyshe is a fourth-generation dentist, and her dad was her dentist growing up. Because of this, she always had a positive relationship with dentistry, so when she finally got to dental school, she was surprised when she learned that most people dont like going to the dentist! She wanted to give her patients the same type of experiences she had as a child, and today, helping people of all ages enjoy stress-free dental visits is extremely rewarding.
Dr. Duqum began her college career at Ohio University, and she went on to earn her dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She then completed her residency at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. Always learning, she has received advanced training for Invisalign, SureSmile, Botox, and dental implants.
Dr. Duqum and her husband, Brandon, have one daughter, Wren, who constantly keeps them on their toes. She likes to stay very active in her free time, so her hobbies include hiking, skiing, and running (to date, she has completed one marathon and doesnt plan on ever doing another!).

Appears decent at first. Charged $250 for a missed appointment when my son was positive for Covid. Was told , " then why don't you come in yourself for work then? " A joke of a medical office. Wouldn't take my dog here.

Wonderful dentists office!! We just switched to this dentist and on our first visit it was my daughters 5th birthday. Sadly I was unable to accompany her due to a cold, but my husband took her and was able to get pictures of the cute birthday decorations and the CAKE they bought her! They sang happy birthday to her and made her day so special! I literally cried when he sent me the pictures. I have never known a dentists office to be so kind. Performed deep cleaning despite only a regular cleaning being asked for, knowing insurance only covered regular cleaning. Proceeded to bill us for the unrequested service when insurance declined. Front desk clerk was extremely rude when we inquired about the bill. Lacks ethics....all about sliding in unnecessary services to drive up the bill

Been a patient here for years. Two implants, splint repair, some cosmetic work for smile area - always satisfied. Friendly and courteous staff. Today I was especially impressed with Myling, who did an adjustment on my recent dental work. It was hard for me, as a patient to explain the problem. She took a quick look in my mouth, pinpointed the cause, & fixed it. She's great!

Can't say enough positive things about the office and staff! Beautiful facility and the staff did an amazing job making my two young children feel comfortable and excited to be there! Alisha's work was excellent, her positive attitude and time spent calming nerves made my kids' experience a great one. Yvonne and Dr. Duqum were rockstars! My name is Misa, I'm 7 years old and I had to go to the dentist because my tooth was hurting. Dr. Shannon and my mommy Ling fixed my teeth and now I'm not scared anymore. And now I see why my mommy is at work for so long because they have snacks, Tv's and a room they can play golf in. And I helped fix my Auntie Keisha's tooth. I had so much fun there!!!
