Cooper Cosmetic & Family Dentistry - General dentist in North Charleston, SC

Having been interested in health careers in high school, Dr. Jessica Peele's love for dentistry began with a volunteer trip to the Dominican Republic where she gained her first experience in the field.

After obtaining a B.S. in Biology from UNC Chapel Hill, she took a gap period in Europe before heading back to Chapel Hill to attend dental school, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Peele was able to expand the reach of her education by organizing a dental service trip to Nepal. She was also involved in local community service throughout her career at UNC.

Dr. Peele completed an extra year of training through a General Practice Residency at MAHEC Clinic in Asheville, NC. Here, she treated a variety of patients with complex dental needs, ranging from Oral Surgery, Denture and Partial, Endodontic, and Crown and Bridge cases. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Sabrina Saunders was born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. She later moved to The Southern Slice of Heaven to complete her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina. She loved Chapel Hill (and Carolina basketball) so much, she pursued her dental education at the UNC School of Dentistry, making her a Double Tar Heel.

Dr. Saunders knew she wanted to be a dentist since high school, and her passion for her career continues to grow every day. She loves learning along with the advances in dentistry, but her favorite part is fostering meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve the smile of their dreams.

One of Dr. Saunders favorite experiences in school was traveling to Uganda to provide free dental care to people with little to no access to healthcare at all. She continues to provide care for underserved individuals closer to home at the North Charleston Outreach Clinic.

When she is not working, you can find Dr. Saunders enjoying the outdoors, exploring different restaurants, cooking new recipes, or spending quality time with her family, friends, and adorable dog named Nellie.

After working in sales and marketing for several years, Dr. Tabb decided to return to school to pursue a career in dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Tabb gained extra training after dental school by completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Hospital in Charleston. She is an experienced dental practitioner who loves helping people achieve their best oral health.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta Professional Dental Fraternity. She also serves as an alumni class agent for her dental school class.

Dr. Tabb enjoys the beach, spending time on the water, and exploring all the Lowcountry has to offer. Most importantly, she loves spending quality time with her husband, John, and their two young children.

Friendly professional dentistry. Showed everything and communicated what it all meant. Most pleasant cleaning I have had at a dentist.

Best dentist and staff I've ever been to. They went above and beyond when I had a tooth emergency. I have anxiety about dental work and they made me feel calm and comfortable throughout the whole visit.

The dentists, hygienists and staff have been warm and professional, always delivering excellent service and taking care of us well when emergencies pop up. My family has been going for several years now, and we're so grateful for this team!

First time at Cooper Dental! My 1st experience was amazing, staff was very friendly. My appointment was at 1pm, got there 5 mins, I was immediately seen after my quick pre check in (no paperwork, all done by computer!). Amber my dental hygienist was AHHH-mazing, she was very friendly. Amber told me step by step what she was doing and why, Dr. Tab was awesome and so nice! I highly recommend. Patient care is very important to means Cooper Dental is all about patient o!

Wow! What a great dentist! Dr Cooper is so incredibly nice and gentle. I've been to many dentists and she is the best. It's unfortunate Google won't let me give more than 5 stars. I hate to be mysoginistic or sexist but I don't think I would ever want to go to a male dentist again. Dr Cooper's compassion and empathy with my dental anxiety was nothing short of amazing. I no longer dread dental visits.

I wish I could put zero stars. I went for a cleaning, they claimed I had 6 cavities and wanted $900 for them. I decided to get a second opinion. I have ZERO cavities. This place is a total rip off. DO NOT GO HERE. Cavity fillings require drilling into a tooth, this would have caused permanent damage to all 6 teeth if I had believed them. WATCH OUT. Take your money elsewhere and keep your mouth safe!

Terrible. The two appointments I went to at CFD had people stuffed wall-to-wall in the waiting room and the front desk employee was more interested in taking my photo (why!?) for her records than answering questions. The mediocre exams and dental care led us to look elsewhere in Charleston. CFD sent non-itemized invoices by mail for small amounts of $ after I had already been told my account was paid in full. I ignored these because they weren't legitimate charges. I just received a call from collections two years later for $75, which of course hurt my credit. Absolutely ridiculous.

Let me start by saying I have some serious PTSD from awful/botched dental work in the past. Literally everything from calling to make an appointment to getting to my car post appointment makes me feel like I'm going to pass out from hyperventilating. Other dentists don't care, even the ones who specialize in sedation dentistry... However my experience with cooper family was amazing!! From the office staff, to the hygienists, to the dentist's themselves are all so amazing!! Living in a new city and paying a $$$PREMIUM$$$ for sedation dentistry makes me so sad because even at the sky high prices they don't compare to cooper family. Kids and adults will be made comfortable and feel like family at this dentist. I'm even considering making a special 7 hour drive back to Charleston once a year just to go back to them for my dental work. Yeah...they're THAT GOOD. 10*

The friendliest and most helpful dentist I've ever been to! The staff is filled with wonderful people who seem to really care not just about making your teeth better now, but also teaching you ways to improve your teeth cleaning at home so you show up already looking better at your next visit. This is a staff that cares!

I recently had returned to cooper family dentistry when my insurance changed. I referred a family member here and they were very rude to him and told him they couldn't get him in for a month. His tooth had cracked and he was experiencing swelling/pain. There was no empathy and they quoted him an outrageous price. They acted as if he was a nuisance and kept putting him on hold for other phone calls coming in. To add to this, I had an issue last time I went in that I just brushed off thinking it was a coincidence. I was going to be 5 mins late due to an accident outside my neighborhood. I called them ahead of time to let them know. They put me on hold to make sure it would be "OK". When I arrived at the appt I was confronted and given a new contract to sign. The receptionist pointed out it was a late arrival contract where I would have to pay extra and reschedule if I were late again. After these two incidents we both have found a new dentist that is more reasonably priced, with receptionist that are much more friendly .

Besides the fact they do great work, whoever they use for billing gets the codes right every time!

Wonderful reception staff! Until I went back and the bottom line is one of the doctors tried to find every tiny problem in order to make money. I haven't had anything wrong with my teeth in over 10 years. I go to this new dentist and all the sudden I'm told I need 6+ procedures. The delivery was shameful and cold. I've literally never had a more degrading experience.

This is a state-of-the-art dentist office with super friendly and very professional staff . I needed a partial temporary denture and they did a fantastic job. It turned out I lost a couple of them afterward and they offered me a generous discount on the replacements. Dr Amy Cooper is just terrific! Susan at the front desk too and everyone else. They are perfectionists in their work making absolutely certain this patient got exactly what was needed in flawless form. Thank you all for taking such great care of me!
