Dr. Aaron and Dr. Brandon both work with all of our patients. They each possess the knowledge and skills necessary to handle any procedure offered at Cooley Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Their shared passion for dentistry is the primary reason Cooley Smiles has developed a reputation for delivering the finest quality general and cosmetic dentist services available.
Both of our dentists began their education at the University of Washington, where they earned their undergraduate degrees. Dr. Aaron and Dr. Brandon have pursued their dentistry training as a team ever since, attending the University of Pacific Dental School together.
Since entering their father's family-run practice in 1997, Dr. Aaron and Dr. Brandon have engaged in a rigorous schedule of continuing education courses in order to remain up-to-date on all of the latest advances in the field. This continuing education regimen includes programs at the University of Washington, the American Academy of Dentistry (AAD), and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the premier cosmetic dentistry training facility in the nation.
Katherine grew up in Edmonds, Washington and pursued Dental Hygiene at Eastern Washington University in Spokane, graduating in 2015. Katherine loves to share her knowledge and passion for dental hygiene by providing quality and personalized care to each patient while promoting optimal oral health. When she is not working, she loves traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband and Dachshund named Wilson.
Karen graduated from the Mt. Hood Community College dental hygiene program in 2006. She is a native Oregonian who relocated to Kirkland, Washington. Karen enjoys helping her patients manage and control gum disease through education and awareness and is a strong advocate for increasing access to quality oral health care in the community. She also volunteers for the ODAs Annual Mission of Mercy outreach event providing free dental care to the public. Karen is kind, gentle, thorough, and loves working as a hygienist. Her hobbies outside of work include travel, cooking and small projects around the house.
Laura was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to Washington in 2004 and graduated from Clark College Dental Hygiene program in 2010 and has enjoyed working in the field ever since. Outside the office, she loves to spend time with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, competing in carriage driving, gardening, and hiking!
Marijas love for dentistry started as a young girl in Serbia watching her dad work as a dentist. She started her career as a dental assistant and receptionist in 2008, and expanded into her hygiene role upon graduating from PIMA in 2015. She loves educating patients on their oral health and making patients feel relaxed in the dental chair. Outside of her work, Marija enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, and being creative in the kitchen.
Colleen graduated from the Pierce College Dental Hygiene program in 1998. She loves building relationships with each patient and helping them maintain their oral health. When not at work, Colleen enjoys hiking with her bernese mountain dog and spending time with her family. Growing up, Colleens dad was in the military and she was born in Japan. She has also lived in Guam and California. Colleen currently lives in Kirkland with her husband and has a son in college.
Rebekah has lived in western Washington her whole life and graduated from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in 2021 with her Bachelor's of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Her goal in dentistry is to make dental visits a comfortable experience for all, along with providing outstanding care and educating patients on how to improve their oral health. When not in the office, Rebekah loves hiking, water sports, live music, traveling, and exploring new places with her family and friends.
Miranda is from Stanwood, a small town in Washington. She has been assisting since 2014. Miranda takes pride in making dental visits a positive experience and loves being able to help create beautiful smiles! Miranda enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and Fianc. She also loves spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and spending time in the sunshine!
Gabriela has been working for Cooley Smiles as a dental assistant since 2020 and in the dental field since the 1990s. Her number one priority is helping patients feel comfortable and at ease while making sure every dental procedure is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. She absolutely loves what she does! She enjoys doing Spartan races, working out, spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.
Karla was born in Mexico. She lived in Texas for a couple of years and moved to Washington when she was 16 years old. She graduated from school as Dental Assistant in 2018. She loves helping patients achieve their dental needs. She also enjoys building relationships with patients and being a part of their overall care. In her free time, Karla loves spending time with her friends and family, and traveling at least twice a year.
Whitney is our Patient Coordinator and has been with Cooley Smiles for 6+ years. She has gained over ten years of experience in the dental field by starting her career as a Dental Assistant and then expanding into her current Administrative role. Whitney is one of the first bright faces you will see when you enter our office! She enjoys creating a pleasant and comfortable experience for every one of our patients from start to finish.
Vivien is our financial coordinator for the Kenmore location! She has over 14 years of dental experience split between the clinical and front office. She loves working with patients, helping them navigate and learn about their dental insurance. When not in the office, you will find her and her significant other exploring local music festivals, cooking and tending to their beautiful garden.
Julie is the COO for Cooley Smiles! Julie joined Cooley Smiles as part of our Everett front office team in 2018; she has over 15 years of dental experience split between the clinical and front office. She is also a Registered Dental Assistant, making her well versed in both clinical and administrative. She loves being a part of the Cooley Smiles team and helping oversee the Bellevue, Kenmore and Everett practice. Julie really enjoys the interactions with patients and making them feel right at home. She also enjoys helping patients navigate the complexity of their insurances, answering tough questions to ensure they feel comfortable and confident going forward with their next steps in treatment.
