I am a creator and a builder at heart. I am an artist. I am an engineer. My mom was an art and sculpting teacher. What I learned as a child, and what I do now, are perfectly matched. Ive learned, as an orthodontist, that the difference between a healthy but mediocre smile and a healthy and extraordinary smile is about 80% artistic, and thats where I excel.
Its an honor to serve my patients and I enjoy the relationships Im allowed to build with them. I love their stories and the conversations we share, and I always learn something from each person. As orthodontic treatment takes time, and I see my patients regularly, I learn who they are on personal levels, and enjoy seeing their lives change as their smile develops. They become much more confident and outgoing, and they open up to the world, smiling and laughing without feeling self-conscious about their appearance.
Im a firm believer that continuing education is an integral part of being an orthodontist. By constantly seeking out new information about treatments, technologies, and materials, as well as strengthening and expanding my skills, I am able to deliver orthodontic care at the highest standards and achieve clinical excellence for my patients. Throughout the year I attend conferences, meetings, and seminars to stay abreast of developments in orthodontics and to ensure my patients receive the best care and treatment options available.
Im originally from Pakistan and have been married to my wife, Juana, who is from Mexico, for 23 years. We have three children, Analia, Adam, and Nadia, and a family dog, a Tea Cup Poodle, named Lulu, too. When Im not caring for my patients, I enjoy origami and art, traveling, browsing at garage and estate sales for books and wonderful odds and ends, and reading.

Dr. Ejaz Tahir combines his extensive expertise in both to develop unique treatment plans for each patient in his care, determining the best approach for the individuals situation, and ensuring the resulting smile will be aesthetically pleasing.

Dr.Tahir saved my teeth, he is honestly the best orthodonist ever, i had a severe case of my teeth and the Dr.Tahir wasnt certain it would fix, 3 years later my teeth are healthy and normal! amazing Orthodontist and staff!

Upon meeting Dr. Tahir almost 3 years ago, I was always self conscience about my teeth. Over time with consistancy and self- disipline he has given me the smile of my dreams!!! Never have i smiled sooo big and with so much confidence!!!! I always felt i wasnt cute enough because of my teeth. I can honestly say I made the right choice with choosing Coolbraces. He made me the most confident, gorgeous bride on my wedding day!!! I love his knowledge and skill in making all his patients feel at ease and most importantly putting the needs of the patient first! He definitely deserves 5 stars. His staff is very kind as well always complimenting me and making me feel at ease. Getting braces has always been a major goal of mine to build my confidence. Each treatment was very effective and worked wonderfully!!! He is definitely the best orthodontist i've ever had!!! Thanks to him my wedding pictures came out so beautifully!!!!

I am absolutely in love with my new smile. Dr. Tahir & his staff was always very attentive and helpful. I previously had braces as a teen but was never really happy with the results. Now my smile only took a few months for treatment and I am so happy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience !

Dr. Tahir is an extremely knowledgeable and professional orthodontist. He goes above and beyond to create a treatment plan unique to every patient. I was even able to give my own opinion in my personal treatment plan. He does an excellent job at explaining the procedures and how everything works. He also has a wonderful team working alongside him. I highly recommend him and his team for anyone who is interested in Invisalign or braces.

Absolutely Amazing! Dr. Tahir is more than an orthodontist, he is an artist with a passion (and eye) to perfect smiles like no other. Having had many consultations with other orthos, I knew instantly Dr. Tahir was the way to go upon hearing his vision and recommendations for my treatments. I'm 36 years old and wish I would have had him work his magic years ago, but it was well worth the wait! I've even set my little sister up for treatment with him and it's changed her smile and confidence too! Hands down the best around by far! Thank you Dr. Tahir (and team) for going above and beyond to perfect my smile!

When I made my appointment I communicated that I was coming-in from out-of-town, but moving to Chicago soon and interested in getting a jumpstart on my Invisalign treatment. I flew in from St. Louis for my consultation only to be told that the doctor cannot see me because he's slammed with patients. Pictures and x-rays were taken and I was told to expect a video consultation from the doctor. Fast forward one week later and I'm being told that I won't receive a video consultation and that Dr. Tahir is no longer accepting new Invisalign patients.

Dr. Tahir or as he likes to refer himself as "Uncle EJ" along with his staff are very friendly and approachable. I came in for an x-ray and with his well trained staff, they made the process very easy and fast. After getting the x-ray, Dr. Tahir kindly informed me that I had a wisdom tooth growing and that it needed to be removed by a specialist as soon as possible. With that being said I highly recommend seeing Dr. Tahir due to how efficient and quick he makes the process, along with how informative Dr. Tahir is when it comes to an issue you may be having.

I never have to wait too long for any of my appointments. The staff as well are all very nice and they do a great job at explaining the process. They also speak Spanish which is a bonus. Highly recommend it!
