Dr. Simjee attended Harvard University, receiving a Doctorate of Dental Medicine with High Honors, and continued at Harvard University to complete a residency in Orthodontics. He has been creating Cool Smiles in both Orange and Riverside Counties for over 20 years and has treated more than 15,000 patients. Dr. Simjee is a Top 1% Provider for Invisalign. Being a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the California Association of Orthodontists, he stays current on the latest technology in orthodontics and is dedicated to providing his patients with the most advanced orthodontic treatment available.

Dr. Khan not only prides himself on exceptional orthodontic results but also on giving patients the opportunity to achieve the smile that they have always desired in a very compassionate and warm environment. Dr. Khan grew up in Orange County and comes from a family of dental professionals. He completed his training in Dentistry and Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. He continues to attend orthodontic meetings regularly to keep up with the latest techniques and technology. Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and his two wonderful young children, playing basketball, and catching up on the latest movies.

Dr. Ronak Mody was born and raised in Corona, CA. After graduating with honors from the University of Pacific, he headed to the east coast and attended the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, he was awarded the Deans Scholarship while he obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. After completing a one-year fellowship in temporomandibular joint disorders, he went on to receive his Masters in Orthodontics from Seton Hill University. After several years on the east coast, he is happy to have finally settled down in Orange County. Dr. Mody enjoys staying active by hiking and playing basketball, tennis, or a round of golf. Together with his wife, Rakhee, they enjoy travel photography, cooking, and exploring new parts of the world as well as the local area. Dr. Mody is very excited to be part of the Cool Smiles team and looks forward to helping you create a happier and healthier smile.

Dr. Payal Patel knew she wanted to be an orthodontist since high school after her orthodontic treatment helped transform her own life. She aims to help patients achieve their highest level of confidence through their smiles. Her favorite aspect of orthodontics is developing long-term relationships with patients to help them feel comfortable and motivate them to be committed to their treatment. Dr. Patel completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at USC, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) national dental honor society. She then moved to Nevada where she completed her residency training in Orthodontics at Roseman University, while concurrently receiving an MBA. She is happy to be back in 75 Degree Southern California. Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Patel likes to travel, try new foods, and spend time with her rescue dog and family.

Dr Ismail earned his undergraduate degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California. He was awarded his DMD degree with high honors at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He then successfully completed a selective post-doctoral fellowship in orthodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. His formal orthodontic training, whereby he became a certified specialist in orthodontics, was obtained at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada. Dr Ismail has the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor bestowed to a select group of orthodontists. He has made a firm commitment to keeping current with the latest developments and techniques in his field by attending numerous continuing education courses with colleagues throughout the year. This commitment is enhanced with his memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO). In his spare time, Dr Ismail likes to keep active by playing sports and working out. He also enjoys exploring new restaurants in the area and attending live music events.
