I completed the online check-in prior to the appointment which means no paperwork upon arrival. I was taken back to the exam room at the appointment time and my teeth were cleaned immediately. Following the cleaning, the dentist arrived within 1-3 minutes. The staff is friendly, efficient, competent and thorough. I was impressed and happy with the experience. Thank you Lori (sp?) and Dr. Cook.

I brought myself and my son in for a routine cleaning. My son is 4 and very inquisitive. He didn't have the best first appointment so I was worried about this one. PK allowed My son to watch and ask (probably thousands) questions while I was getting my teeth cleaned. She answered every one and was so patient with him. Because of her kindness and willingness to answer his questions, my son let her clean his teeth without issue. He LOVED his trip. I am so thankful to PK and so impressed with her skills. Our whole family will schedule with her every time!

Cook Family Dentistry staff is professional and Dr. Cook is fantastic. My appointment started when it was supposed to and I felt my checkup and cleaning were very thorough. I recently decided I wanted to try someone new, and I'm sold on Cook's!

Dr. Cook and her team are caring, professional, efficient, and provide excellent care. I am a nervous patient but Dr. Cook is so understanding and relaxed that it eases my anxiety. So even though having a tooth prepared for a crown wasn't exactly my idea of a good time, the process was much scarier in my mind than what actually occurred. If you are looking for great dental care from a caring team, choose Cook Family Dentistry!

I had my first appointment with Cook Family Dentistry last week and they were great! The staff was very friendly, the wait time before being seen (having a scheduled appointment of course) was minimal, and they truly are experienced professionals. I would recommend their services to anyone that would listen!

Thank you to Mrs. Cassandra for the patience and encouragement in helping my daughter as she had her teeth cleaned! She was excellent and took time to explain and talk through each step and describe what each tool does so my daughter would be less nervous and scared. Thank you!

Dr. L. Cook and her team have been providing excellent dental care to Blacksburg and the New River Valley for many years now. It is easy to make appointments, there's timely service, and they are child-friendly. I appreciate especially how much they do to keep us Covid-safe. Highly recommended!

I have literally had dental care all over the world and in the US (over 30 cities), and I can thus say with surety that Cook Family Dentistry is the best overall care I've experienced. In particular, PK is a phenomenal dental hygienist, and likewise, Dr. Thorn is a phenomenal dentist. Aside from their state-of-the-art and highly professional care, both have wonderful personalities that make visiting the dentist a joy. It's too bad they take such good care of my teeth, so I only get to visit with them a couple of times a year for cleanings and minor work :)

My 7yo daughter and I hadn't been for checkups in over a year due to the pandemic. There was a lot of cleaning to do! But, as always, no matter which hygienist or doctor we see, we were treated with compassionate, above-and-beyond care. Everyone is patient and kind, especially with my daughter who was nervous to take off her mask. To give you an idea of the kind of practice this is: When my daughter was an infant, I brought her to my first post-partum teeth cleaning. She woke and started to cry, and the staff joyfully jumped in to hold her and feed her a bottle. It was the same staff who held my hand when my anxiety brought me to tears during a simple cavity filling (after having awful experiences at dentists as a child). Everyone at Cook Family Dentistry is wonderful, and we have been happy patients for many years! My daughter actually looks forward to her cleanings, which says it all.
