Dr. Cook is a dentist who is passionate about her patients and profession. As Dr. Cooks biography demonstrates, she is truly committed to delivering high quality dental care through continuing education and patient comfort.
In 1988 Dr. Cook received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina located in Charleston, South Carolina. After receiving her DMD, Dr. Cook practiced as an associate for a pediatric dentist in Greenville, South Carolina.
In 1990 Dr. Cook and her husband, David, relocated to Houston, Texas. After receiving her Texas dental license, Dr. Cook practiced as an associate in the Sugar Land area. In 1992 Dr. Cook decided to start her own private practice in Richmond, Texas.
Dr. Cook began treating patients in the Richmond/Rosenberg area in October 1992. Her dental practice started out in a very small rented office space equipped with only two treatment rooms and one employee.
Four years later, Dr. Cook designed and built a state-of-the-art office building located just accross the street. In July 1997 she moved into her new dental office. In 2008, Dr. Cook expanded this dental building to include an orthodontic bay and additional treatment rooms.
Dr. Cook's dental education did not stop when she graduated from dental school. Every year, she updates and expands her knowledge and skill-set through extensive and targeted continuing education. Dr. Cook has distinguished herself among her colleagues in her commitment to continuing education. In 2013 Dr. Cook traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to receive the Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) award. The MAGD is one of dentistry's most respected and prestigious bestowed honors. In 2011 Dr. Cook received 3 fellowship distinctions from the Acadamy of General Dentistry, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Cook also invests heavily in the latest technology which helps her deliver high quality dentistry with optimal patient comfort.
Dr. Cook believes a well informed and educated patient can and will make decisions about their oral health that they will feel both comfortable with and not later regret. We have an extensive collection of patient educational resources including videos, models, along with digital photography to help you understand exactly what can be done and what can be realistically expected.

Dr. Cook deeply cares about her patients! I was struggling with pain for months until one day it got really bad and I came in to see her. She diagnosed me with TMJ and told me that, if I did Invisalign, it would not only fix my teeth but also fix my bite causing me to not grind/clinch my teeth at night and that it would help my TMJ. Well, she was absolutely right! She has spent a lot of time and effort coming up with a treatment plan with my Invisalign and it has sure paid off. My TMJ is so much better now that my bite is better through the help of Invisalign. I can't thank Dr. Cook enough! There truly isn't a more knowledgeable dentist out there. I found that out years ago when all the doctors told me that my newborn baby had teeth. Dr. Cook said that they weren't teeth and that they were actually Epstein pearls which are dental cysts. She even one time sent me pain meds on a weekend while she was out of state at a conference. When she got back from the conference, she squeezed me in super early in the morning since I needed a root canal. She has proven herself over and over again through all of her hard work and dedication to her patients. Thank you for all that you do, Dr. Cook! I truly appreciate you!

I came for a free dental cleaning for free dentistry day .. I would definitely come back. The staff was friendly and my cleaning was great .. they did not rush through the cleaning.

I had a tooth extractions done by Dr. Morris on Saturday and I tell you I was pretty impressed I normally don't go to the Dentist My anxiety is so bad she was compassionate soft spoken patient to my need I felt so comfortable and before you know it was over . My husband and I have been going to Dr. Zahra Cook for a few years now. We could not ask for a better dentist. She cares about her patients and always makes sure I am comfortable throughout any procedure. Her staff is wonderful as well. I recently had my teeth professionally whitened and I am super impressed with the results! Previously, I had tried over the counter whiteners and special toothpaste, with less than satisfactory results. I am known for my big smile, and found myself becoming more and more self-conscious about the appearance of my teeth. As such, I stopped smiling as much. Dr. Cook explained to me how our teeth naturally tend to get discolored over time as we age, and my being an avid coffee drinker did not help! I saw results after the first treatment. From there, my teeth became noticeably whiter each day, as I followed the protocol. I completed the final treatment today. Wow! I am not exaggerating when I say they are bright white now. How wonderful it feels to smile again! I am so glad that I had this done. As an added bonus, I am able to maintain my beautiful smile at home as needed with the aid of my custom trays and whitening gel. The custom trays are soft but durable. They are very comfortable to wear. I also want to say that at no time, were my teeth sensitive throughout the treatment. If you have been thinking about having your teeth professionally whitened, I would highly recommend you do it! My crown came out yesterday afternoon. I called Dr Cook's office at around 2:30 today, and they squeezed me in. From the financial person (who gave me a generous cash discount) to the x-ray guy, to Dr Cook, herself, everyone treated me with kindness. They stayed late just for me. And when a mouth device started to make me panic a little, Dr Cook modified it to make it fit better. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

Lifesaver. I had a severe toothache making it hard to eat and making my mood very short with people. Went to a dentist down the street first. After an hour there the dentist recommended I see a specialist. The specialist couldn't see me for a week. I decided to try a different dentist. SO GLAD I DID. Mrs.Cook found the culprit and got right to work. I swear I have never had a root canal that didn't hurt or was awkward in some way or form. She was amazing. No pain pretty comfortable considering. No lie. I'm never going to bay other dentist after this experience. She was amazing.

Dr. Cook and staff have taken care of my families dental care for several years. They are always professional, helpful, and put you at ease. They use a lot of newer technology that other dentists don't have. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
