Dr. Tiffany and her entire staff are the absolute best with children! They take their time to explain everything and do not rush your appointment. The office is very clean, professional, and up to date with the latest technology. I myself am a dental professional and I would not bring my little one to anyone else. Thank you for always making my child's dental experience great!

Their management and receptionists are horrible. When I called them to make appt, I said Dr Tiffany Ham. But when we arrived, none of the 2 Dr. Ham were there. The receptionist told us only Dr. Liz was there the day. And the receptionist was not apologetic at all but only with an attitude insinuating that Dr. Tiffany only works on Tuesday and Thursday, so it must've been my issue to have a appt on Friday with her( I didn't even know about Dr Liz at all). Not to mention that they sent me many SMS messages to remind me exactly what time my appt is, but then they themselves were +10 min late. The entire clinic was closed with no one to even answer calls when I arrived on time. I can't regret more that I only saw the negative reviews on Google after I realized this is not a good clinic. And guess what? While my son was being seen, another patient came and told me they were here for Dr Tiffany! We chose to still be seen by the wrong doctor only because it was my 2 yr olds first dentist appt and he was expecting it. But for sure we are not going back to here! Dr. Liz was very nice to my son. She also gave us good advice. My son had good experience there with fun little toys.

I should have listened to the warning from the reviews. I came to this office because I was referred by my own dentist. I trusted her judgement, and took her recommendations seriously. I followed the plan she had asked of me, and in the end she fell short. Once I started to ask questions about her methods, that's when she immediately started to steamroll my concerns and said to me that she does not have skills to provide care for my child. This was after she recommended behavior therapy for my 4 year old child because he would not lie still on the exam chair after waiting for the dentist for 20 mins. Adults have a hard time with the dentist I don't see how it would be any different for a toddler. During the exam she gave unprofessional looks at her dental assistant as if I was not in the room or I was a confused patient. The amount of disrespect I experienced was horrifying, I felt bullied. The next day after my son's appointment I get a call from her receptionist saying that they are discharging my child from her care. They threw us out due to the complexity of my son's case. They took my money did nothing. If you are a parent that will not ask questions and do not care what treatment plan is given then Tiffany Ham is for you.

I take my 4 year old granddaughter here. I found this practice, because my dermatologist is right next door. And when I would go to the dermatologist, I would always see kids coming from this office smiling, laughing. This place is wonderful. First of the front desk is helpful and pleasant and even after one visit, they remember you. The back office has a way with kids and has made each experience a delight. I would recommend.

AVOID TIFFANY HAM, DDS. As a mother of two young children, I cannot warn you enough to stay away from her and Contra Costa Children's Dentistry. They seem to be scammers who offer overaggressive treatment plans in hopes of getting more money from their patients and their patients' insurance. Our pediatric dentist provided us with a list of referrals of nearby dentists that offer oral sedation for a cavity filling which included Tiffany Ham of Contra Costa Children's Dentistry. I checked around on Yelp and saw her reviews so we made an appointment. We also forwarded my child's x-rays from her primary dentist, who mentioned to us that my child may likely need additional x-rays done to come up with the treatment plan. When my husband took my child to the appointment, Tiffany Ham chose to not do additional x-rays for her own reasons. However, her treatment plan seemed to be quite aggressive. I would think that for someone who identifies herself as being "overly cautious", she would want to do her own set of x-rays before finalizing her treatment plan. I asked Tiffany's office to have Tiffany call me to discuss the treatment plan in detail during which I asked several questions. This is my job as a mother - to understand what the procedure would entail especially since it included an oral sedative as well as vetting the "professional" who would be doing the procedure. ANY DILIGENT MOTHER WOULD DO THIS. What was disturbing was how aggressive her treatment plan was. Tiffany wanted to plan to do a root canal on my child and then also treat a cavity on another tooth. However, the problem was that my child's primary dentist never mentioned this other cavity nor was it depicted in the x-rays my child took with her primary dentist. It seemed quite odd to me and naturally, I was suspicious. I therefore called my child's primary dentist to confirm Tiffany's treatment plan. Our primary dentist mentioned that she did not see any indication of a second cavity and that we should hold off on any treatment for now to be conservative. Why put my toddler through unnecessary additional trauma? Furthermore, my child had a prior health condition that is now resolved but we included it in the medical history form. During the appointment, Tiffany instructed us that she wanted clearance from my child's pediatrician as confirmation that everything was fine. I spoke with my child's doctor who confirmed that the oral sedation and procedure would be perfectly fine and is normal. However, Tiffany mentioned that she did not want to take my child on as her patient since she wanted "perfectly healthy and pristine" children as her patients. Tiffany seems like a weak dentist to me that wants the easiest cases. It is ultimately her business and she can do what she wants, but Tiffany should have never sent us home with a treatment plan (including a proposed bill) unless she was confident she felt comfortable doing the procedure. Why waste our time?? Further, I personally believe she was upset that I was diligencing and questioning her aggressive treatment plan. ANY SOUND PARENT WOULD DO THIS. YOU SHOULD DO THIS FOR YOUR CHILD BECAUSE YOUR CHILD IS DEPENDING ON YOU. It's all about setting expectations and Tiffany's customer service and communication skills are INCREDIBLY POOR. Lastly, if you want a more conservative dentist, then Tiffany is NOT the person to go to for your child.

What I love most about bringing the children here is that each child is made to feel special. Dr Tiffany remembers every procedure, all staff members are patient, and answer questions thoroughly. Makes us comfortable about the care provided.

This is a very child friendly dentistry office, all the staff are great. I wouldn't mind seeing less plastic toys, balloons, as rewards for the kids because it is not great for climate change, but also so hard to say no to a 2 year old when they can't understand environmental consequences. Would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about how great the staff and Dr. Tiffany Hamm are! My boys are almost never well behaved, Staff kept them so entertained and knew just how to talk to them to make them sit still through a cleaning and exam. I think that their set up is just amazing for kids, and makes it a really fun and exciting experience to go to the dentist. What more could a parent ask for?
