Contemporary Family Dentistry opened in 2000. Our friendly, bilingual team creates a calm and comforting atmosphere and cares for each patient like a member of our family. We use state-of-the-art technology, dental materials, and techniques to ensure each patient has a quick and pleasant, yet thorough, dental experience.
Dr. Lewis was born and raised in the Illinois Quad Cities. She graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine after completing her undergraduate education at the schools Edwardsville campus. She continues her education through various sources including being a member of both the Spear Faculty Club and Dallas Study Club, a component of the prestigious Seattle Study Club.
In addition to continuing to advance her dental knowledge through study club participation and educational course work, Dr. Lewis enjoys being outdoors and staying active. She is the owner of Floss Boss, an oral health care company, and is the creator of Between Floss & Gloss.
As a transplant to Texas, she enjoys being out in the warm weather and exploring what Dallas has to offer. She loves spending time being active with her two children, Paul and Agnes. She enjoys running, golf, pilates and travel.
Dr. Richard E. Garcia completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin and later attended The Dental School at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1993 and has been practicing here since that time.
Dr. Garcia is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Dallas County Dental Society. He regularly attends dental conferences and continuing education seminars to keep apprised of the latest advances in dentistry.
Cynthia joined our office in April of 2013. She is our resident insurance guru and the friendly voice you will hear when you call our office. She enjoys baking, dancing, traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.

I'm so glad I was recommended to come to this practice. The staff up front are professional and make you feel welcomed. Setting up an appointment was a breeze. They were extremely accommodating and I can't thank them enough. My cleaning was preformed by hygienist Porfiria she made me feel comfortable the whole time and made the cleaning go by smoothly. Dr. Lewis was informative and friendly. She informed me of some things I was unaware of and I'm grateful that such a wonder staff was able to assist me.

I've gone to CFD ever since it first opened. I've been happy with their care every step of the way. I've also referred many friends to Dr. Garcia and they are raving fans too. He's gentle, explains what he's doing and the why. He stays current with the latest technologies and is just a super dentist that I would recommend to anyone.

The five stars says it all! I have seen 6 dentists in my lifetime, 3 in Canada and 3 in Dallas. I am now 69 years old, and Dr Garcia is on the top of my list as an attentive, respectful, highly skilled professional. The staff is a credit to him and a testament to his training, courtesy and they are thoughtful and ready to serve. My husband and our son sees him and they are equally happy. Please do go to him, you will end up recommending him to your friends and family, I promise!

Highly recommend Dr. Garcia and his staff. Both my husband and I go to him. I have recommended him to several friends in need of a great dentist who is both gentle and honest. He put in a crown for me a few years ago, it was a painless experience and has been perfect since. Their dental hygenist does a great job as well - she talks you thru the whole thing and is very sweet and gentle. Always the same staff which can only mean good things.
