She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She is an officer of the Central Oregon Dental Society and has a lot of connections with other dentists and specialists in Oregon. More importantly, though, Jessica is a compassionate person who truly cares about her patients. She strives for clinical perfection by working with a local, Oregon dental lab and surrounds herself with the best professionals in all aspects of dentistry.
Jessica spends most of her time working, as she is the only doctor in her practice. But when shes not, she enjoys time at home out in the country. For fun, Jessica and her husband of 20 years go to Mt. Bachelor to go snowboarding and hang out up at the mountain. In the summer, Jessica likes hiking or kayaking with her three Newfoundland dogs.

I have went from dental nightmare to a full 180 turn around over the last 5 years working with Dr Henderson, we have had to do major oral surgeries as well as bone graphs and root canals and everything in between and although it was a long road and a lot of work we made it to the other side and my smile and my teeth are the best they have ever been in my life and that is thanks to the guidance and plan rolled out my Dr Henderson and her team. I don't not have enough room on this review page to list my true appreciation for everything she's done. 10/10 recommend.

Prior to visiting Contemporary Family Dentistry (CFD) I had numerous unpleasant and ineffective dental procedures that left me intensely apprehensive. I have been a client of CFD for several years now and each time I feel perfectly confident and highly satisfied with the work performed by Dr. Henderson, her assistant and hygienists. I actually ENJOY my visits, they are painless (and effective) the whole time, every time. All the staff of CFD are welcoming, take the time and effort to develop personal relationships & are highly receptive to individual needs. I trust Dr. Henderson & her staff implicitly with my dental care, she has a remarkable background, including a degree in Aerospace Engineering! The implementation of technology, experience and artistry make CFD the very best & I am grateful I found such a fantastic team for my dental care.

As a child I had a horrific experience and find myself not just anxiety ridden but absolutely fearful of dentists. Today Dr. Jessica Henderson was my hero, her professionalism, honesty, and kindness was exactly what I needed. She gave me ALL of my options before beginning a very difficult procedure- it didn't scare her away in fact she literally saved my tooth! I cracked it in half! It would have been easy for her to say get a root canal but instead she gave me honest real answers and I chose the procedure! So glad I did ! She not only saved me an important tooth but was gentle in every detail. Very informative throughout the procedure! I felt not only well taken care of, I felt like royalty. She doesn't take the easy way out she is compassionate and is solid in her wisdom of Dental care! The staff made me feel like we were just family that has always belonged. It takes a caring dentist to truly listen and give you options! Take it or leave it but hands down the BEST. Clean, affordable, honest and holds her self and her staff to high standards!!! Come in a scaredy-cat and leave feeling like a family or friend! I will be be back! PS this procedure was not for weenies! She resurrected my tooth I should have lost!! I am the owner of a very special crown!

I would give zero stars but the dental hygienists were very nice and friendly. The dentist was brash, condescending, and extremely harsh. I was not told that she would be sticking a needle in my gums to numb me, she just did it.I am also pregnant & feeling pretty vulnerable already & she just made it so much worse. Also, I asked what kind of fillings they were doing and the hygienist told me "they are white" and couldn't give me a straight answer about them having BPA in them. I have had some pretty traumatic experiences at the dentist and this was top 3. And I just had a tiny filling. She also came in after MY cleaning to lecture me about my 1.5 year old son and telling me what to feed him & not feed him...... at MY appointment. He was not even there, and she is not his dentist. It felt pretty bizarre. Weirdest experience I've had at the dentist. I will not be going back.

With so many dentists in Bend to chose from please don't waste your time here. I had a new patient exam and teeth cleaning that needs to be redone. The teeth cleaning took all of about 20 min (incomplete) and x-rays need to be repeated due to poor quality and not a complete set. Absolute waste of time and money. I now need to go to a new/competent dentist to have a proper cleaning and complete set of x-rays. I found the dental hygienist friendly, although incompetent. The x-ray tech must have been new (at least I hope she was new so she had an excuse). She had no clue what she was doing and had to repeat images. A bit frustrating and annoying. Dr Henderson was brash, rude and aggressive. She spoke to me like I was deaf and 5 years old. Her beside manner needs a lot of work, to say the least. I found it very rude when she boldly stated (from across the room) I had 4 fillings that were old (I have NEVER had a filling). The hygienist had too apologize for her statement and explain what she was looking at were teeth sealants, not fillings. She also carried on about how i needed a mouth guard and if I didn't wear one I would eventually need dentures and/or would develop cavities. I was told I have a cavity and need a filling ASAP. Can't wait to get a second opinion as I don't believe I have a cavity. She showed me a picture and it looks like a bit of staining. Please do yourself a favor and read ALL reviews. Seems all negative reviews are in sync. I will be moving myself and my family to a competent and honest dental practice.

I never like to come to the dentist but this place made me feel calm and I actually laughed and learned a lot. Everyone was so helpful and gave great suggestions on how to improve my dental health for the long run. I knew that energy drinks were bad, but didn't know they were breaking down my teeth! Glad she caught my problems before it was too late.

I'll be the first to tell you, like most of us, I have always hated going to the dentist. Not anymore (seriously!) Jessica Henderson is absolutely one of the sweetest people, and the nicest dentist I have ever met! She did some amazing work when I had a dental emergency (there was zero judgment from her or they hygienist that I hadn't seen a dentist in a while). She did such an amazing job, and she numbed up my mouth without pain!! Seriously, she knows her stuff. So I decided to establish care with her as my primary dentist! I highly recommend her and her staff to all my friends. Everyone is kind, friendly, and very easy to communicate with.

I have been going to Dr. Henderson for about 4 years now! I feel like I am going to a boutique dentist. She is always so friendly and caring. She takes her time to explain all the available options to me. My comfort is her priority. I used to be scared of dental appointments, not anymore. Her team is always so nice and friendly as well.

The dentist was rude, the basic cleaning took 2 hrs and they tried to prescribe me two additional (unnecessary) treatments that would have cost over $600. Definitely do not recommend.

I really prefer to avoid negative reviews, but having been attracted to this dental office based on the frequent positive reviews, and having glossed over the negative reviews, I need to opine in support of the 1 and 2 stars as noted by others. While the staff, hygienists, and assistants were all very friendly and helpful, the Dr's bedside manner was very rushed, condescending, and brash. I would not recommend. My experience of her numbing process and lack of communication for the procedure to be done left me stressed and confused. She seemed to have 3+ other patients she was treating at the same time as me, and did not provide answers to my questions. My experience was very negative, and after nearly 2 hours of waiting for a filling, had to leave without treatment. Rating 3 stars instead of 2 because my partner's experience was not as bad.

Dr. Henderson and her staff of professionals have been game changers for my dental health. I'm blessed to have them on my team. On more than one occasion she has gone above and beyond to make sure that I am taken care of. This office is an important asset to the west side Bend neighborhood and I look forward to seeking their care for years to come.

I have had extreme anxiety when it comes to dentist visits since a traumatic experience as a child- to the point that I had not visited one for 13 years. When I finally made the jump to go again, I listened to a recommendation from a friend. Dr. Henderson and her amazing staff have been incredible. They have made me feel welcome and comfortable every visit- which was a hard task at first. They are so compassionate and caring and I appreciated it so much. They never made me feel self conscious and the way they share information about dental health is refreshing and inspiring. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist!!!

I've had only excellent experiences since seeing Dr. Henderson and her staff for the past 2 years. She communicates clearly and is very thorough. I never feel pressured into anything and I feel like I've learned a lot about how to take care of my own oral health for prevention purposes. Rene at the front desk is also extremely helpful with insurance issues and scheduling. Ashley is an awesome hygienist and does a great job! Highly recommend, and will continue going back!
