Dr. David Wan grew up in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He matriculated into the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch and graduated in the top of his class. He continued his education at UTDB and was awarded his specialty certificate in Endodontics and a Masters in Science.
Dr. Wan has received extensive specialty training in diagnosis, root canal treatment, and microsurgery. He utilizes cutting-edge technologies and advanced techniques in root canal therapy. His armamentarium includes the use of the surgical microscope, rotary instrumentation, ultrasonics, thermoplasticized obturation, and Cone-beam computed tomography.
Upon graduation from his endodontic training, Dr. Wan was an associate in private practice in Dallas, TX before returning back to his roots in Houston, TX where he started Contemporary Endodontics in the Fall of 2010. Dr. Wan understands patients anxiety associated with root canal therapy. He has extensive training in conscious sedation to help provide a comfortable experience for his patients. He has created a tranquil environment in the practice setting with the number one goal of maintaining patient comfort. He has performed over 10,000 root canal procedures and surgeries to date and continues to remain very passionate in the field of endodontics.
Dr. David Wan is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, and he is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife Angelina and two sons; Aiden and Ashton.
Dr. Nikhil Reddy was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science. Dr. Reddy then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Afterward, he continued his training at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in San Antonio. His passion for endodontics drove him to pursue a career as a dental specialist and completed his Postgraduate program of Endodontics at The University of Alabama at Birmingham under the decorated guidance of Dr. Paul Eleazer. While attending the program, he had the honor of treating patients at the Birmingham VA for one year. He then practiced in Denver, Colorado before moving back to Houston to be closer to family.
Dr. Nikhil Reddy is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and Texas Dental Society. He believes in the highest quality care for his patients with a conservative approach. He strives in having an honest relationship with each patient, with a delicate balance of appreciation, empathy, communication, and clinical excellence.
On his days away from the office, Dr. Nikhil Reddy enjoys spending his time with family and friends, whether its exploring the great outdoors or lounging on the couch with Netflix. He loves all things sports-related and is an avid fan of the Longhorns and our Houston teams. However, his biggest passion is music, from playing instruments or attending the many live shows that Houston has to offer.

The best endodontics office I have ever been to, the manager is very caring and such a great person. The staff is excellent, and not to mention the Doctor's are honestly the best. I advise if you need to see an endodontist, this is where you need to make an appointment.

I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! I absolutely loved my service here. Historically, I wouldn't imagine that root canals are the most fun but I did not feel a pinch and was very comfortable throughout my entire procedure. Thanks again, Dr. Mann & their team/staff!

I rarely write reviews, however, i decided to take the time to write this one to help someone else in the future. Communication - The office staff has very poor communication and follow-up. They called to tell me my insurance did not pay for certain services. I called my insurance and found out they did pay for some of the services. Secondly, i was told i could pay half the day of my appt and the other half three weeks later. However, since my last appt was prior to the three weeks, this agreement seemed no longer to apply once i arrived home. They called the next day and asked for their money as well as asking upon my next visit, which was all before the three week agreement. I decided to pay on that day and be done with it all. Finally upon my return to my primary dentist 8 days later, this office still had not sent any paperwork about the procedure they performed. Procedure- I have two complaints regarding the dental services. First i had to ask questions about what services were going to be performed as the doctor did not readily offer any information. Secondly, there was little compassion when i expressed being anxious and asking for gas prior to the injection. Not only was there little compassion, i had to ask multiple times to allow me to breathe in the gas for a bit to calm down. I will not say they are not capable dentist, however, i will say if you need professionalism I would definitely not recommend this office.

This offices communication was very poor. Office manager was always rude. Asked for a quote for the procedure, never recived one. Had some questions and concerns about the procedure. finally receiving communication from the anastioligest Friday before the procedure it was over text and did not seem the less bit concern. Told me it was a simple process, not to me when it was concerning small child. When I called to cancel my appt. Was put on hold then sent to voice-mail. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Words really can't express my thoughts about Contemporary Endodontic. Dr. Mann and the entire staff was unbelievable! Everyone was extremely gracious and helpful. I will recommend their services to everyone I know who needs it. Awesome!

I called for an appointment, and was lucky enough that they had an opening the very next day. I was in need of a root canal. Dr. Mann was very polite, patient, and talked me thru the process. She did a great job. Her assistant was great too. I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back if I need more work in the future.
