LeeAnna has been with us for over 15 years! She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 1997. She has also graduated in soft tissue laser dentistry, periodontic therapy and neuromuscular dentistry. LeeAnna loves the family feel of the office and the relaxed, positive and fun environment. Coming to the office every day is a joy. Im the Den Mom that takes care of everyone, she comments. I care about our patients and strive to give them the best experience possible.
LeeAnna was born and raised on the Oregon coast and grew up on a farm, where she and her family made [their] own fun. Everything was an adventure outdoors (with the exception of her pink Barbie dentist playset). She always knew, even as a child, that dentistry was what she wanted to do.
Our Sammie has worked with us for over 20 years! Sammie and LeeAnna became friends in college and went to dental hygiene school together and have worked with Dr. Ogawa since 1997. Sammie commutes every week from Southern Oregon to continue to work with her dental family. In addition to practicing in Lake Oswego, she is continuing her education by persuing a masters degree and currently teaches dental students at Rogue Community College. She enjoys working in a small boutique-style practice where dental co-workers and patients feel like family. She says, There is nothing more rewarding than being a part of transformative dentistry. Every day is a joy! Sammie is great at taking care of patient needs by making sure they are comfortable and feel pampered.
Dorcas recently joined us and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Oregon Health and Science University in 1992. She enjoys working for a neuromuscular dentist as part of a dental family who wants to serve their patients to promote optimal health and well-being. She is happy to listen to our patients and communicate their wants and needs to our doctor and auxiliary team. Dorcas is committed to continuing her lifelong quest of education to provide the best care she can for each individual, unique person who enters our practice. She feels blessed to have chosen a career that has continued to bring happiness and fulfillment for well over 25 years.
Vikki attended Oregon Health and Science University for a degree in radiology and is a DANB-certified registered dental assistant with expanded functions for general and orthodontic dentistry. She finds it very satisfying to work with her fellow professionals to create a comfortable experience for our patients and brings a lot of experience to the table for tried and true systems and clinical expertise.
Jennifer started in the dental field in 1989 and has worked in nearly every aspect of the dental office, including dental assisting, front office work and office management. She has a wonderful husband and four children, and she enjoys music, crafting and pop culture. I love this place, she comments. Dr. Ogawa and LeeAnna are amazing and genuine, caring people. She initially started out helping train on the software, but six months later, she is still here! Jennifer is happy to be able to say she is a part of our team.
Experienced cosmetic and general dentist Dr. Keith Ogawa has been helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles for 25 years. He graduated from Loma Linda Dental School in 1994. The mission of this distinguished school is to graduate oral health care professionals who are both compassionate and competent and who provide what is called whole person care to their patients.
Before leading Contemporary Dental Health, Dr. Ogawa owned his own practice in Eagle Point, Southern Oregon from 1994 to 2014. There, he focused on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry as well as dental implants, and he can perform a wide range of dentistry services with proven skill and care.
Dr. Ogawa received advanced postgraduate training from the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). Dr. Ogawa earned the honor of becoming an LVI Fellow in 2006, a rare distinction held by only 500 dentists in the world.
Dr. Ogawa is an extraordinary practitioner both in terms of his beautiful, personalized results as well as his ability to genuinely connect with patients. In his spare time, he loves to explore Portlands beautiful outdoors. If you happen to run into him while he is out and about, you will likely meet his dog too.

Great staff and knowledgeable doctor! Seems that no one likes visiting the dentist, but that anxiety can be mitigated when you are in the hands of a professional team. I would recommend putting your teeth in the hands of those at Contemporary Dental.

Am so glad I took my time finding a new dentist after moving to Lake Oswego in Dec. 2018. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Ogawa, (who is a neuromuscular cosmetic dentist), and his amazing staff! The minute you walk in the office, you know you are in a special place! The energy and the decor are warm, compassionate and relaxing, and LeeAnna is such a bright light. She runs the office like a boss with a loving smile and sense of humor, all the while juggling a million and one tasks. Dorcas is so gentle and kind, and gave me the best cleaning of my life. Last but not least, Dr. Ogawa is gentle, soft spoken and friendly, taking his time listening to your concerns and asking questions.

LeeAnna is my favorite, and I'm always glad to see her when I come thru the doors. She has a heart of gold and her work at the front desk and behind the scenes keep this place firing on all cylinders. Dr. Ogawa listened and spoke with me, not at, or over me. I'd been through sorta an ordeal with seriously failed dental work from another office. My emotions and wallet were burned thru by the time I found them. My last dentist took 3 tries at a crown b4 giving me what Ogawa did in 1. During my previous dentist's 3 tries, I'd had two of my own original teeth break off as a consequence. His training and personality are such that he won't forget your teeth are connected to your jaw, head, neck, etc...And if you want conservative treatment, he will provide it. Contemp Dental gave me what others could not, and they gave it to me right away, even tho I couldn't pay for a couple weeks. You will not encounter apathy here, but you will meet his kind brother, empathy. They maintain beyond the industry standard. Plus, dental hygienists, Vikki and Dorcas, maintain a following all of their own. I've been lucky enough to have them on and off for 20 years, as they've changed locations. That they work in this office, with Ogawa, all together now, says much for the whole group and affirms my thinking that this is the place to be for both routine cleanings, and hardcore restorations. This is a group of practitioners and office staff, working as hard as they can to be the smiling professionals you'd be well served to enjoy. I thought I added captions to the attached photos, the nice circled temporary crown came from Contemporary Dental, while the two offensive ones to the right came from Uptown Family Dental. All temporaries were modeled off that same gold crown.

I've seen hygienist Dorcas 3 times and my confidence and trust in her keep expanding, which is saying a lot, since she first impressed me as stellar. She is thorough, empathetic, committed, and generous with her deep knowledge, which has been much called upon, as I've had some baffling problems in spite of my own scrupulous self-care. What's more, she is a lovely person with a light touch and light within her, making it a pleasure to be in her hands and company. She brings intelligence, determination, and graciousness to these cleaning sessions, probing the depths of hidden or potential problems. I come out feeling reassured as well as fresh and sparkling. ***** I could hardly wait to go to bed with my freshly adjusted night guard! That was after my most recent session at Contemporary Dental Health. And I awoke happily balanced and tension-free. Crowning implants to perfection, referring me for tori reduction when advisable, resolving inflammation, deftly replacing a cracked crown, always checking my bite - these are major services I've received since becoming Dr. Ogawa's patient in the wake of Dr. Wendling's departure, after my ten years in her extraordinary care. From the beginning, Dr. Ogawa and LeeAnna have been kind, generous, making time for me in several emergencies, accommodating my own scheduling constraints, and keeping me in health-enhancing and tooth-caring supplies. Dr. Ogawa is a master of patience, focus, and precision. My recent session with him fine-tuning my orthotic night guard underscored these qualities as he calibrated and adjusted with exactitude, and explained why I'd been clenching on the right side after numerous changes (tori reduction, extractions, implants) in my mouth. He's always clarified any issues so I understand what needs to be corrected, and why. I'm grateful for this and the friendliness of all the staff at Contemporary Dental Health : LeeAnna, Dorcas, Nina, and Dr. Ogawa with his dental wizardry.

I had a full mouth reconstruction. Dr Ogawa and team were exceptional. My mouth is wonderful. If I didn't have the cash for this procedure I would have taken 2nd mortgage out on my home to pay for this. My new teeth are a life changer. I have so much more confidence. Don't hesitate. Dr Ogawa and team are an A+ and I am very picky!!!

I continued with this dental clinic when Dr. Wendelling retired. I have cleanings every 4 months with Dorcus. She has been the best hygentist I have had. I am blessed with good teeth and have as yet needed Dr. Oswaga procedures but general health exams and he is very kind and gentle. LeeAnn is a pleasure at reception. I have always been a hesitate dental patient but the staff iare welcoming and puts me at ease. Thank you for your dental care.

Dr. Ogowa and his team are AMAZING. I wouldn't trust me or my families dental health with any other dentist. They always go above and beyond to not only make sure you are comfortable and have an outstanding experience. Forget anxiety about going to the dentist. They make you feel SO at home. -Everyone should experience great care like this-

I went to another dentist in my area, but their estimate seemed high and possibly unnecessary (veneers??!!). so I decided to get a second opinion by Dr. Ogawa. He not only provided a second opinion (free of charge!) but gave me a small procedure related to a problem I had been having --free of charge!! He is a neuromuscular dental specialist. See him for his expertise.
