Dr. Sean Connolly feels truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful profession as orthodontics. He enjoys the unique blend of art and science that is involved in creating a beautiful smile, especially the artistic challenges that each unique patients smile presents.

Watching how orthodontics can transform a persons self-esteem and seeing a patient smile with renewed confidence when their braces come off makes Dr. Connollys job especially rewarding. He loves getting to know each and every patient and their families throughout treatmentit is one of the best things about his job. It is Dr. Connollys goal that all patients' experience in our office be a memorable one; one that they can look back at with fondness.

Dr. Connolly graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1990 with a Bachelors degree in biology. He then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Connolly moved on to do a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York, from 1996 to 1997. Following that, he started his three-year residency in orthodontics at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicineand graduated in 2000.

Dr. Connolly strives to improve and give his patients the best quality orthodontics, and is learning new things every day to enhance the future care of his patients. Staying up to date on the science aspect of orthodontics allows him to make sure patients receive the best, most effective, and most current treatment.

Dr. Connolly has lived in Waxhaw, North Carolina, since 2007 with his wife, Jill, who is also the office manager at Connolly Orthodontics. They have three daughters, Desiree, Jordan, and Ellie, a yellow lab named Wilson, and a golden retriever, Sawyer. Dr. Connolly enjoys leading an active lifestyle and has always been passionate about running, swimming, and biking in his free time. Most importantly, Dr. Connolly likes to spend time with his family and feels like the luckiest person in the world to have his wife and daughters in his life.

Our orthodontic team consists of highly qualified professionals with many years of experience in the orthodontic field with the majority of our team being cross trained in all clinical and clerical aspects of orthodontics. We are committed to excellence in orthodontics and life-long results for our patients. Our team keeps up to date with the advances in orthodontic treatment and enhanced patient relationships by attending continuing education seminars in addition to ongoing training by Dr. Connolly.
