My experience with the practice is limited to Dr. Huang (and the very sweet assistant/tech named Monica or Monique I believe- she really helped calm me). Dr. huang was also extraordinarily calming, patient, nonjudgmental, had excellent technique (as far as numbing a massively swollen area multiple times and making a small incision that I barely felt). 5 days later it's healing nicely with manageable discomfort. Will definitely switch to him as my permanent oral surgeon whether he practices here or another office.

The front desk staff rude and they swear with patients in the waiting area. They are speaking ill of the practice. Where are polite and courteous employees. The North Haven CT office is much better!

I have been here twice for wisdom tooth removal. My first time was approximately two years ago. Both the doctor and assistant were great. I was very nervous and freaked out a little when they had some trouble getting the tooth out. They assured me everything was ok and they would get the tooth out. They were patient and caring to me and we were able to do what needed to be done. Recovery was fine. Fast forward to now I had another wisdom tooth that needed to be removed which I got done yesterday. The doctor was again great but the assistant was impatient. I was again quite nervous and unfortunately freaked out and was gagging while they worked in my mouth. I apologized as we paused and took a break so I could calm down. The assistant said to me "the sooner we get this done the sooner you can go home" ....well obviously. I knew that...but unfortunately my anxiety was through the roof and she knew that as she had taken my blood pressure and noted it was high. I really didn't appreciate that comment. We were able to continue and got the tooth out. I'm sure they deal with patients like me all the time and the doctor was fantastic both times. The assistant the second time not so much.

I was referred here by my dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. The office was very kind on the phone until I went in for the consultation. I waited for an hour and a half to be seen. The office staff was incredibly unprofessional, I can hear them talking about patients and even grunting over the phone when it would ring. The doctor gave me options of different forms of pain relief for the surgery. I made a decision and signed a consent form confirming that decision. I go in the day of the surgery and the surgeon started the surgery without giving me the laughing gas that I SIGNED A CONSENT FORM consenting to at my prior visit. I asked them to stop and give it to me which then the nurses rolled their eyes at me and told me "well the insurance doesn't cover it". I just wanted to get this over with, considering I was already in the chair. I paid for the additional costs after the surgery and that was the end of it. The healing process went as expected. I called when I had a concern about the stitches falling out a few days later and the woman that answered couldn't give me the time of day. Luckily, everything that mattered went smoothly but the unprofessionalism that I experienced was uncalled for. I told my dentist about my experiences and they took them off their referral list. My advice: go elsewhere for your oral surgery needs.

I would recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Babak Hakimizadeh is by far the best oral surgeon hands down. He is very knowledgeable and cares about his patients. I have such anxiety with dentists and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. He was understand, compassionate and very good at what he does. Thank you again

I wouldn't head here unless they were the last surgeons on earth, and then I might consider other options still, this sad excuse of a team of dentist are rude talk down to others and can't even communicate the right insurance / procedure necessary, I went in needing 6 teeth pulled had my referral for 6 extractions in 3 different quadrants of my mouth, (covered for Anesthesia under husky) when it came time for the surgery I called to ask when I should stop eating the day before, they replied oh your just getting laughing gas not Anesthesia, to witch I replied im a nervous patient and the whole reason I was referred was to be put to sleep for such a large operation and they basiclly told me even tho I'm insured the dentistbdoesnt want to put me to sleep, I offered cash out of pocket for the Anesthesia and they told me no?? So notni have 6 broken teeth since my accident and can't be seen till mid November by yale who assured me I AM covered for Anesthesia but now hafta waitbtill mid December or January for my surgery thanks west haven maxofacial for slipping me through the cracks and bieng unprofessional about the whole experience, and when I was almost in tears the women said " call yale they'll put you to sleep" the only good advice I got from them thus far, stay far away and just call yale maxofacial please

Awful reception.....I called for an appointment and was told I could not reschedule my appointment without explanation...I was given just a simple "no" by the rude secretary. These secretaries live for drama and being rude. Very disrespectful and will not be professional despite how polite you are to them. Will not recommend.

Ok, so first off I don't like seeing dentists let alone a surgeon. However, if you have to have surgery, Dr. Babak Hakimizadeh is the only oral surgeon you should ever see. Simply put, he possesses all the bed side manner that most surgeons lack. He took the time to get the tooth numb, and I didn't even realize when he took the tooth out. He put in replacement bone so that I could get the implant process started. Unlike other surgeons I have seen in the past, I suffered only minimal swelling and discomfort. He stands head and shoulders above everyone else at this office and he will be the only surgeon I ever visit again. He made a horrible experience as comfortable as possible and for this reason I have to say he is the finest surgeon I have ever had. If I could give him ten stars, I would! So if you ever need oral surgery, come to CMS! Also, Dr. Berkeley is five stars as well (I have an implant that fifteen years later from him that is still perfect!) Stop your search now, and go to CMS right away!

Will not recommend. Overcharge for services, just not honest people. Office is outdated and dirty. The staff is rude and has a lot of class, problem is, most of it's LOW. 1 star is an overrating but no choice for a zero.

I must say I was a lil bit scared of being referred to this clinic after reading the reviews but I must say it was all contrary the staff was super friendly the front desk was really nice and very helpful. The dentist assistant he was the nicest guy Very attentive and explain the procedure perfectly to the tea the dentist was very nice also explained the procedure again and I can honestly say I did not feel a thing he has the hands of an Angel. My fear of the dentist is gone thanks to them!!! Thanks Everyone for making a dreadful procedure a nice and comfortable one!!
