Dr. Kunal Patel completed his dental education from Boston University's Goldman School of Dental Medicinein 2010. He relocated 2010. Herelocated to Connecticut, where he began his private practice career in Waterbury,CT.He provides comprehensive restorative careincluding aesthetic treatments. Committed to providing thebest, most advanced dental care, Dr. Patel keepsup to date on advances in the dental field and enhances his skills by continual education. Now Dr. Patel is one ofdentists near Hamden, New Haven area. He believes that communication between patient and dentist is critical to a successful relationship. Healwaysmakes sure that hispatients are educated about all procedures, alltreatment options are well explained and all their questions have beenanswered to their complete satisfaction.
Dr. Patel is affiliated withthe Connecticut Dental Society, Greater Waterbury Dental Societyand the American Dental Association. He attends many educational courses to keep abreast of all the latest advances in the dental field.
Jomarie is one of our 3 Dental Assistants. She has 18 years of experience after Graduating from Porter and Chester in 1999 as a Dental Assistant. She started working with Dr. Patel in 2014. She has her current CPR certification, DMI certification, ICE (infection Control Exam) certification and radiology certification. In addition she is the OSHA and Infection Control Coordinator for our office. On her days off she enjoys going on vacation and working on her garden.
Nashalie is one of our 3 Dental Assistants. She has 4 years of experience. She started to work with Dr. Patel early in 2015. She did her practical with him before graduating from Porter and Chester. In 2015 she also obtained her radiology certificate. In 2017 she renewed her CPR Certificated and in 2018 she obtained her ICE (Infection Control Exam) certificate. She is a 24 years old, family oriented, who likes to relax in her time off. Her future goal is to become a Dental Hygienist.
Erika is our Dental Hygienist since early 2017. She has 6 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist. She graduated with her Associated in Dental Hygiene from FONES School of Dental Hygiene from the University of Bridgeport in 2012. In 2013 she completed her Bachelor in Dental Hygiene from the same school. She is current with her CPR certification and Local Anesthetic Certification. She stays on top of her continue education course in order to provide the best knowledge and treatment to her patients. On her days off she likes to spend time with her family.

ANY DENTIST THAT CAN SEE YOU HAVE INFECTION &EXTRACT A TOOTH BUT DON'T WRITE YOU A PRESCRIPTION IS IN THE WRONG LINE OF WORK but hey what do I know( besides pain) as the girl said he didn't know if I would need the antibiotics & pain medicine This was the best place a few years back now its NOT ...11/1Dentist came in no introduction went straight n2 my mouth told me I had infection pulled tooth&said okay ur all done NEVER asked what pharmacy I use nurse fast talking the instructions @me hands me A little black bag I get to pharmacy only to find out I there's No prescriptions in bag call them 3x...11/2 &I still don't have medication Avoid this place like the plague or @least Mr Kunal &the 2 not in scrubs @ the front Kena & the other girl think they the doctor! THEY DON'T CARE!

Definitely wouldn't recommend. Called to see if I could get an appointment to start seeing a dentist there and everything was going fine until I was giving the person on the phone my phone number to reach me on and he assumed I had hung up. Heard every little detail of him mocking me over "hanging up" and such. Might want to retrain your staff with proper etiquette.

They made an appointment for me at 8:30. The office opens at 9 am. The receptionist was extremely rude and she lied to my face after I was outside in the rain for twenty minutes. I watched her enter the building after nine am but my appointment was at 8:30 am and I had to confirm three times before my appointment. Very unprofessional. No apologies for the inconvenience or for their mistakes.

They made my appt and time I show up 10 mins early and they asked to reschedule because they have a staff meeting ... Not my problem... I will take my business else where.

Very fast. Front Desk nice. Assistant Erika knows exactly her job and explained step by step everything about my teeth. The other dental assistant works with the ray x is very sweet as well and the dentist is amazing . I recommend 100%

I would of like to be in room with my child as he got his teeth clean. A parent and child should share these experiences. I thank you for the speed but children love seeing their parent there. Staff was friendly, if return I would like to rinse mouth out after flossing and cleaning. The people were kind.

This is the worst dentist ever!! I would not go there I will never go back ever again. I went in for an emergency appointment and they wanted me to wait a week with a painful broken tooth then I got there the quack dentist did an X-ray and immediately said it needed to be pulled no other option no other choice nothing just pull it. I had to them go to a real dentist and get an emergency root canal from an endodentist who never saw the need to pull the tooth out he said that was crazy!! The real dentist I went to too felt the same way we can totally save my tooth. This dentist is the worst he just wants to collect money and doesn't care. I would avoid him at all expenses possible!! You're better off paying out of pocket and seeing a real dentist not a quack like this man

I absolutely hate the dentist. I avoided going for 10 years but I started getting obvious cavities and sensitive gums. I had terrible anxiety going in but they calmed my nerves quickly. I thought they were fantastic. I would definitely recommend them.

They take any insurance including husky and Medicare and are always able to offer an appointment quickly, even for routine cleanings. The office staff are all very friendly and seem competent. Dr Patel has been wonderful; seems to be experienced and good at what he does and is also patient and reassuring for people like me who are very anxious about dental work. When my insurance unexpectedly terminated they were very helpful in making sure they got me in for everything I needed within a week. They generally run reasonably close to on time; I have waited about 45 min on occasion but that was an exception to the norm and I think that happens everywhere from time to time. The only reason they lost a star is that the other dentist who works there, while he seems to know what he is doing, has a bit more abrupt beside manner and made me feel more anxious. However overall I am very happy with my care here and when my insurance changes I make sure they are in network with my new one before signing up (although I haven't yet come across an insurance they don't work with.)

I was very happy. It was a welcoming office. The hygienist did the best cleaning I've ever had, and was very knowledgeable. The Doctor came quickly after the cleaning was over, and they gave me good advice on my situation.

My teeth were in rough shape after experiencing some pretty extreme medical issues over the past 2 years. I went in after having pains in my front teeth and to complete other work that had been getting done. I also inquired about cosmetic dentistry in the past to reduce the appearance of a small gap in my front teeth as well. I figured this was the start of my smile makeover. Repairing the damaged done, and finally getting the smile I've always wanted. Long story somewhat short, my appointment lasted about 30 mins. It was rushed. My front teeth, the first thing you see when you smile, are ruined. I cried for 40 mins in my car. I couldn't go back that day because my children were with a sitter. I was already so humiliated and upset at what they did, but to make things worse, I received a letter stating my insurance for the year was all used up. I feel hopeless and had I known they wouldn't care about what they were doing I don't think I would've trusted them in the first place. At this point, even if I got braces, Invisalign... they've already destroyed the shape and tone of my teeth... there's no going back, I can only pay the thousands of dollars it will cost to get veneers. Truly the worst experience...

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my smile. They truly care about their patients well being. They take their time to listen and take care of you. The staff is always so welcoming and caring. I have not received such detailed care from anyone. Thank you Dr. Patel and Erika.
