Dr. Basta attended Virginia Tech for his undergrad where he majored in Biology with a special interest in mycology. He then received a scholarship to study dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). After graduating in 2003, he furthered his training by attending Coler Goldwater hospital for a one-year residency program. At Coler Goldwater, he had extensive training in crown and bridge and implant dentistry. Dr. Basta is certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry and strongly believes in continuing education to better serve his patients. His laid-back attitude and gentle touch puts even the most anxiety-filled patients at ease.
Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Certified Anesthesiologist, Dr. Drescher specializes in placing dental implants and performs advanced surgical procedures, such as extractions of impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Drescher is certified to provide I.V. sedation, which keeps patients conscious, pain-free, and responsive to instruction.
Dr. Drescher graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. To become an oral surgeon, four additional years of education are required after completing four years of dental school. He trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Hospitals Cornell Medical Center. He also completed residencies at the VA hospital and the Coney Island hospital, both in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his anesthesiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and trained at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Drescher is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the attending doctor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. He is also a course director at the CSOMS annual implant seminar.
Dr. Jay Vuong has worked at Congers Dental Arts for 7 years as an Endodontist (root canal specialist). His purpose as a dentist is to help patients get free of pain. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and likes too many movies to list!

Last fall not realizing this was a dentist office I used 20 yrs ago right before moving out of area, then just moving back, I saw they were on my insurance & read the great reviews. To my huge shock and awe, when I called for appointment, they had me in system (old dentist had retired) and remembered specifically about my then-8 yo son & myself & our needs! Same amazing office staff & Dr. Basta is the most gentle, kind, thorough & efficient dentist I've ever been to. So glad I reconnected, as I'm a person with severe dentist anxiety but there I have none!!

Literally the best dentist ever. I had a dental emergency and called Congers Dental hoping they could squeeze me in and they did. From the initial phone call I knew that I be in good hands. The receptionist was concerned with my health and getting me some relief from the pain I was experiencing. I came in and had a very short wait. Dr. Basta was patient and kind. He explained to me what was going on and treated me. He is thorough and knowledgeable. I was surprised by how gentle he was and how I left his office pain free! I can't think him and his staff enough. He is now my family dentist and I have been referring him to friends and extended family. If you are looking for a dentist that will put you at ease and give you the highest quality of care, definitely consider booking your next dental appointment with Dr.Basta and his team at Congers Dental Arts.

Got a bill in the mail for this dentist that I HAVE NEVER gone to. Called and talked to Sue who said they had a computer glitch and sent out invoices to people who never been to the office. Said she would remove it and I asked to talk to the office manager and she said she doesn't give out her name and hung up on me. BE WEAR OF THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!!!

I had an appointment scheduled for a root canal treatment today. I am a healthcare worker and had to make a ton of rearrangements to fit this appointment into my schedule. Rather than honor my appointment and do the procedure as scheduled, I was told there wasn't enough time to preform the procedure due to overbooking and things running slow. I was deeply upset, hurt and disappointed they did not even attempt to accommodate me after I had explained how difficult it was for me to get this appointment. Safe to say, I will not be returning.
