Dr. Schramek grew up in Montgomery County. As a youth, he loved to be outdoors and became involved in the boy scouts. He started as a cub scout and ended up attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Dr. Schramek enjoys running, sporting events, and traveling.
Dr. Schramek attained his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1982. He graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1986. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He worked as an associate dentist in Catonsville, MD. Since 1991 Dr. Schramek has owned and practiced in Germantown, Maryland.
Karen Schramek received her R.D.H. license in 1979 and a B.S. degree in 1982 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She worked for many years in her father's dental practice and now with her husband in his practice. Outside the dental office, she enjoys cardio-strength training classes, baking, entertaining, and traveling.

Dr. Schramek and his hygienist Karen are amazing in their field. You can tell they have a lot of experience in their line of work. I usually get nervous when it comes to dental work or cleanings until I came here.

Dr. Schramek is the best dentist I have ever gone to. He pays extreme attention to his patients and also talks through every thing he's doing- before, during, and after treatment. The hygienist, Karen, was also very thorough in not only cleaning my teeth but explaining the equipment being used as well. They are both very kind and attentive to their patients!

Dr. Schramek is an outstanding dentist and his wife Karen is by far the best hygienist I have ever encountered. They both are very knowledgeable and care most about providing the best care. I was educated from both of them about treatment I have never had. They aren't your typical revolving door office. You are in their care long enough to not feel like just another rushed patient. They take their time and make sure you are comfortable. You can certainly tell they are passionate about providing the best care to those in need. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I have FINALLY found my present and future dental office!!!

I have gone twice already during the pandemic. Great experiences both times. Staff is great both of the providers are also great. Will for sure continue to go back! Highly recommend.

I think I started with Dr. Schramek more than 15 years ago. Left the country and came back. I tried other dentists during that time, and honestly he is the absolute very best dentist you can have. The care he provides to his patients is above and beyond anything I have seen. His wife is the hygienist and she is as sweet and professional as he is. What I love the most is the time he takes to explain things, even during a procedure he explains every single step of what he is doing. He also has a very gentle hand and I sometimes almost doze off while he is working. Only an outstanding dentist can make you feel that safe and comfortable! I have brought my mom that was here on vacation to him for an emergency issue and he was outstanding as usual. I would recommend anybody to him. As long as he has his practice and I live in the area, I will never go anywhere else.

The kids also like Dr Schraemek and like coming to the dentist We like that he explains everything he is doing as he goes along. It makes you more comfortable. Highly recommend Dr Schraemek.
