Dr. Herrera is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He isBoard Certifiedinimplant dentistryand has broad knowledge and experience in all phases of full mouth reconstruction and cosmetic dentistry, including bone and gum grafts, crowns, dentures, orthodontics including Invisalign (clear braces), root canals and extractions. To make your experience more comfortable, Dr. Herrera is licensed in California to provide Oral ConsciousSedation.
His passion for dentistry and dedication to his patients are evident the moment you meet him. He enjoys working with children, treating whole families and believes in letting his patients make educated decisions regarding their oral health. His approach to your treatment starts with patiently listening to you. Then, after a complete and thorough examination, a personalized treatment plan is prepared for you.
His professional service includes active membership in several respected dental organizations. His achievements include a Mastership Award, the highest level of achievement in dentistry, from the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also received a Diplomate Award, the highest level of competency, from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an Associate Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is a former instructor and Masters Graduate of the California Implant Institute.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Dr. Herrera graduated from San Francisco State University with degrees in Biology (Physiology) and Chemistry. Together with his wife and two sons, they enjoy movies, game time and outdoor activities. Hell probably tell you about his latest weekly hike on Mt. Diablo or how hes training for his next 50K Ultra-Obstacle Race. His other hobbies include martial arts and building robots. Also a long-time fan of the Star Wars movies, Dr. Herrera built a life-size, functional R2-D2, complete with working gadgets and gizmos. When asked what motivated him to take on such an endeavor 'I rebuild teeth and smiles for a profession - building a robot was just a natural extension of that passion!'

Phenomenal staff who put in the extra effort to provide a comfortable and safe experience to their patients. While at Concord Dental Care, I felt valued as a patient and Dr. Herrera always made a concerted effort to let me know the ins and outs of the procedures to every dental process, helping me come out of my appointments with a better state of mind. I'd also like to give a shout-out to Diana for her amazing patient service and who always was a pleasure to speak to before and after attending my appointments.

Brittany and Dr.Herrera makes coming to the dentist personable, fun and easy. They exhibit a level of care that makes it obvious that they love what they do. My entire family have been patients for years and we don't see that changing any time soon.

Its been a while since I've been to the dentist but Brittany put me at ease right from the moment I walked in. The entire staff is polite, professional, and friendly. I don't like shots and Brittany said I wouldn't feel anything,...she was right! They're an awesome bunch!

I have been coming to this office for years now. Everyone treats you like family. When I came I had what u would call meth mouth from past drug use and terrible dental Hygiene! Doc and his team have put so much love and expertise into the design and repair of my mouth! My children only trust doctor Hererra to work on them. He's worth every penny I've ever had to put out. Thank you for bringing the beauty out of me by giving me back my smile. The best part is he has worked with me during financial hardships . He's always available in an emergency and cares for every client with the upmost. I will have him and the rest of his team until he says no more.

Dr. Herrera is GREAT! He walked my wife and I through the implant process from day one & it's gone exactly as he said. He staff keeps in touch and walked me through the insurance and appointment process. Highly Recommend!

My son fell and broke his front tooth very badly last week, and minimally chipped the two teeth on either side. Even though it was Friday and the dental office was closed, I had instant access to the dentist and he got my son in right away even though he was very booked. He spent three hours fixing my son's teeth, and when he came home, you couldn't even tell he'd chipped his teeth. In fact, Dr. Herrera saved my son's tooth with a cap and a root canal when most other dentists would have pulled it and put in an implant. I'm so grateful for Dr. Herrera's skill level and that of his staff. My son is only 23, and this could have altered him forever, but now most won't even know the trauma. I can't tell you how important it is to know he's in my corner when such an emergency should arise again, and with such top skill level, but I pray it doesn't. BEST. DENTIST. EVER.
