Dr. Carlos A. Carrillo obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UMG in Guatemala City, Guatemala, in 2004. During dental school, he worked as a missionary every other weekend visiting rural areas in Guatemalan communities with a group of dentists and medical doctors. He then practiced for more than five years as a General Dentist. For ten years, Dr. Carrillo worked for the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, serving the community.
In 2016 he was accepted in a 12-month Preceptorship in Endodontics at the University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry. Following the completion of the Preceptorship, he completed the 27 month Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at the University of Texas at Houston at School of Dentistry. He earned his Master of Science in Dentistry and a postgraduate certificate in Endodontics in 2020. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists. As someone born in Guatemala, raised in Honduras and Guatemala, he is fluent in Spanish and English. Being bilingual overcomes barriers in establishing rapport and close relationships with patients and referring doctors alike.
Dr. Carrillo is currently a board eligible endodontist and is pursuing his goal to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. In his free time, Dr. Carrillo enjoys attending church every week, singing with his family, playing soccer, ping pong, and spending time with his wife and three boys.
Dr. Chadwick M. Sargent, was born and raised in Duncanville, Texas and is a 7th generation Texan. He has been in West Texas since 1990, and is a honors graduate from Texas Tech University. As a freshman in college, he actually researched and diagnosed his own cancer. He decided to become a doctor because of this experience and treatment to save his own life. With the loss of his father at a young age and being a cancer survivor, these events made a large impact upon him and shaped his mission to help others specifically pain control. Following graduation from Tech, he attended Baylor College of Dentistry and graduated with Fourth Scholastic Honors (4th of 80 students) in 2000. While at Baylor, he achieved the Gross Anatomy Top Student Award; was selected for the National Dental Honor Society: Omicron Kappa Upsilon; was selected to the Baylor Odontological Honor Society; achieved the ZIPS Dental Social Fraternity Top Student Award; was a participant in the Baylor Pediatric Honors Summer Externship; received the General Dentistry Award; and was appointed by OMFS faculty to be a charter student for the Oral Surgery Faculty Student Extender Program (1 of 4). While at Baylor, Dr. Sargent was selected for a very competitive full ride scholarship provided by the United States Navy. Upon graduation, Dr. Sargent was selected and attended a prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in Southern California. He served over 7 great years in the Navy and while practicing at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, he was selected to attend the highly sought after University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Graduate Endodontic Program. Many consider this to be the finest Endodontic training program in the world with faculty members making up a dream team of Endodontists. After completion of his residency, Dr. Sargent served as the Endodontic Department Head at a busy hospital in North Carolina providing dental trauma and Endodontic care to Navy and Marine Corps service men and women. In addition to clinical duties, he was a faculty Endodontist in the AEGD program at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander, was in zone for Commander, and was a Four time recipient of the Naval and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Since 2006, Dr. Sargent has been practicing Endodontics back home in Texas. He joined Dr. Robert Stites practice with a long history of being the best endodontic practice in West Texas. Together they formed Lubbock Endodontics. Dr. Sargent has 3 children, is active in his church and community, and married his high school sweetheart, Misty, after graduating from Texas Tech. He lectures often and has been presenting research at dental meetings since 2000. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the South Plains Dental Society where he served as President. As a dedicated husband and father, Dr. Sargent has many interests outside of his specialty. He is a Texas Tech sports fanatic, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, cooking, travel, enjoying life and music.

I am the biggest baby ever about dental work, so when I was sent to Dr Carillo for a root canal I was so stressed I could hardly listen! However, he and his assistant put me at ease by going slowly and carefully, making sure I was totally numb, and that I experienced no pain during the procedure. I recommend Concho Valley Endodontics without hesitation.

Dr. Carrillo and his staff were very friendly, yet professional. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed as possible when having a root canal. I am not dreading my second treatment near as much as I was the first. I would highly recommend them!

This was the best root canal I've ever had! I've had 3 total, and this one was a breeze. I didn't feel the first 2 numbing shots, and the third "most painful one", I only felt a little bit of pressure. I am a chicken when it comes to dental work but Concho Valley Endodontics put me at ease. Dr. Carrillo talked about his wife, kids and parents- you can tell he is a family man who cares about others. They offered to let me take a break halfway through the procedure but I didn't need to because it went so well. I've had a cleaning on my teeth (years ago, somewhere else) that was terrible- and this root canal was worlds better than that experience. So, there's nothing to be afraid of! You're in good hands here. The staff is so nice and accommodating. They reassured me before the procedure that everything would be okay because I was feeling anxious. Thank you to everyone at Concho Valley Endodontics who made this such a great experience! Dr. Carrillo, thank you for putting me at ease, caring for your patients and doing such great work! Also, thank you that the shots did not hurt! I would definitely recommend them!

Dr. Buche and his team were amazing! I went in to have a tooth extracted and was very nervous and afraid of the pain as I had already been in a lot of pain. During and after the extraction there was no pain whatsoever. Dr. Buche called that evening to check on me and his staff called to verify appointments every time. I wish all doctors offices were run this efficiently.

I saw Dr. Wayman for a consultation. Dr. Wayman, Sheyla (manager) and Letty (dental assistant) were all very professional and everyone had a friendly manner. I was impressed with the covid safety protocol at this office! They made me feel safe and well cared for as a patient. I would highly recommend!
