Dr. Keith Compton joined the practice after his graduation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northwest Georgia District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently pursuing a fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires the recipient to complete 500 hours of specialized education and pass a rigorous exam; it is a distinction that only 6% of North American dentists achieve. He is certified in ACLS and has taken extensive continuing education in all fields of dentistry, including most recently in implant dentistry, sedation, orthodontics, medical emergency management, and practice management. The comfort of Dr Keith Compton's patients is his primary goal; to help achieve this, he has received specialized training to become one of the only general dentists in our area who provides IV and oral conscious sedation.
Prior to attending dental school, he attended Shorter College, Floyd College, and Trion High School. Dr. Keith Compton has the unique privilege of working with his father (Dr. Richard Compton, DDS), mother (Teresa Compton, RDH), and wife (Dr. Melissa Compton, DMD).
He and his wife, Dr. Melissa Compton, have one daughter, Victoria Compton. In 2018, Dr. Keith Compton attended a weeklong medical missions trip in Honduras with his daughter during which they were able to provide dentistry to hundreds of underserved patients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family, skiing, scuba diving, sky diving, hand gliding, and woodworking. He is committed to providing a relaxing environment in which to serve his patients, and he would love to meet you!
Dr. Melissa Compton joined the practice after her graduation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2004. Prior to that, she attended Shorter College and Floyd College (where she met her husband, Dr. Keith Compton). She loves to stay current on developments in her field and recently completed an intense year long practice management course from the American Dental Association to better serve her patients. She, too, is an avid traveler and aspires to travel to all 7 continents. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and especially loves to hike, bike, and kayak. She would love to have the opportunity to serve you or your children!
Ali graduated from Shorter University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She has been employed with Compton Family Dentistry since 2020 and has many years of experience in the medical field where she has previously worked in the front office, medical assisting, as a certified nursing assistant, phlebotomist, and a phlebotomy instructor. In her spare time enjoys spending time with her family, watching Auburn football, and going to NASCAR races.
Diana moved to Georgia from Washington state in 2012 and joined our practice in 2014. She is currently our insurance coordinator. Diana works hard to make sure your dental investment is covered by your insurance. In her spare time, Diana enjoys spending time with her family, husband, and son.
Ashley has worked at Compton Family Dentistry since 2012. She is a Lafayette High School graduate. Ashley is married and has a son, Kaine Baker. Ashley enjoys spending time doing outdoor activity such as fishing and camping, attending her sons football and baseball games and watching the Atlanta Falcons.
Haedyn has been a part of our team here at Compton Family Dentistry since 2019. She is a graduate of Trion High School, is married, and has two children: Zion and Ella Mobbs. Haedyn enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, and traveling.
Allie is our newest team member at Compton Family Dentistry, starting her career as a Dental Assistant in 2021. Allie is enrolling at Georgia Highlands College and plans to attend the Dental Hygiene program. Allie enjoys kayaking, spending time with family and friends, and going to the lake.
Amy is a graduate from Trion High School and has been employed with Compton Family Dentistry since 1991. She started her career here as a Dental Assistant and then transitioned into working in the front office. She has two children: Micah and Mason Hughes. She enjoys spending time with her family, going camping, as well as going to the beach, and watching Georgia football.
