Following her studies at at the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in Chemistry, Dr. Shah-Hosseini entered the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she graduated cum laude with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and with numerous awards and honors. She then completed a two-year general practice residency at Bostons Brigham & Womens Hospital where she gained expertise in the treatment of medically compromised patients, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in prosthodontics at Boston Universitys Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she earned a certificate in the specialty of prosthodontics.
Dr. Shah-Hosseini is currently a faculty member of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at Harvard. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Harvard Odontological Society.
Dr. Crohin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Molecular Biology and then matriculated to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), and a Masters of Medical Sciences (MMSc.) degree. He then decided to continue at Harvard pursuing further studies in the specialty of periodontics.Dr. Crohin provides various non-surgical and surgical approaches to treating gum disease, as well as implant placements, bone and gum graft replacements. He is a strong advocate of improving patients oral health and actively educates in areas such as proper oral hygiene and smoking cessation. He teaches peridontology and dental implant placement as a part-time clinical faculty member at Harvard University. He is a active member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology and the Harvard Odontological Society.
Dr. Crohin is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and a certificate of General Practice Residency (Brigham and Women's Hospital) in 1998. She received a Masters of Medical Sciences (MMSC) and completed her periodontal training at HSDM in 2001. Dr. Crohin has been Board Certified in Periodontics since 2008 and recertified in 2014. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Massachusetts Dental Society and the Harvard Odontological Society.
Katie grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and moved to Boston in 2016. She has a bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Central Florida and received her Dental Hygiene degree from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. When not in our office, Katie works part time in a Pediatric and Special Needs practice. She is passionate about continuing education and actively participates in a study group looking at the relationship of oral and overall health. Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable while also educating them about their health.
Vanessa is originally from Brazil, moving to Boston with her family in 1998. She is fluent in both English and Portuguese. Vanessa is our patient ambassador. Patients are always welcomed with a warm friendly smile and pleasant conversation. She earned her dental assisting certification in 2010. She has used every opportunity to expand her dental knowledge and applies them in patient care. Her team support is invaluable, facilitating the smooth running of the the office. Vanessa enjoys spending time with family and friends. In her free time, she loves trying out new recipes, and creating some of her own.

I can't say enough about Dr. Maryniuk and his excellent staff! Dr Maryniuk's goal is to keep you in tip top oral health. He does beautiful work and is very knowledgeable and lovely to chat with! As is his whole staff! If you are looking for a good dentist I highly recommended Dr. Maryniuk!

Dr Maryniuk is marvelous. He is very thorough and is up-to-date with all the latest research and techniques. He is a perfectionist in terms of his expectations for his own work. He is very responsive to any concerns and answers any questions. After a bigger procedure, such as a crown, he gives out his personal cell phone number in case something comes up in the evening or on the weekend. (I've never needed to use it, but it's nice to know that you could.) The office is run in a very respectful and professional manner. The office manager, Ellen, is very helpful and organized. I have been going to this practice for 40 years and have never had a complaint.

I saw Katie last week for a cleaning and have to say she is very good at what she does. I have never liked going to the dentist but she made me feel very comfortable and made the experience easy and effortless for me. I leaned a great deal about the status of my gums and feel good about the goals we set. Thank you to Katie I highly recommend her as your hygienist.

Dr Marynuk is competent, caring and personable. The office runs efficiently and on time. Ellen, Vanessa and Katie are professional and kind. And the classical music is soothing. I'm seen within 5 minutes for my appointments. Waiting room is comfortable.. Staff and professionals are pleasant, knowledgeable and very competent. Procedures are always explained when beginning. I would recommend this practice.
