Dr. Joe was raised in Northeast Philadelphia; he graduated from La Salle College High School and La Salle University. He received his Masters in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from NYU College of Dentistry. He completed his Pediatric Dental Training at St. Christophers Hospital for Children. Later in his career, Dr. Joe completed a fellowship at New York University in Implantology.

This is the best dental office I have ever been to as an adult. Barbara, the receptionist, has excellent follow through and will do her best to coordinate care with previous offices to get your records. You may come in looking for a cleaning, but you will leave with buckets worth of education. This includes holding a mirror while Dr Checchio walks you through his dental assessment. It includes private tutorial on what is seen on your xray. It ends with a cleaning performed by the dentist himself! This class (I mean dental appointment) is so thourough that you will not only have any current issues addressed, but you will also get education on how to preserve dental health as you age. In other words, it does not feel like they are out to make a quick buck like many other cosmetic dental practices.) The office is called Comprehensive Dental for a reason. Come to Bensalem office on a Wednesday to meet Dr Checchios pleasant assistant Krissy for all your dental needs including in house one hour crown replacements.

As always the Doctor and staff were kind and solicitous. It was an emergency visit and they made every effort to fit me in despite their busy schedule.

Love Joe he is a great dentist and he is fun i don't mind my visits to the dentist he has got me back on track and i am extremely happy for all he does for me he rocks and his staff is great too friendly and caring

Joe is a great dentist. He takes pride in his work. I get in fast if i have an emergency and he doesnt charge me for everything under the sun. Joe has been good to me over over the past 7 years.

We just changed dentists and started seeing Dr. Checchio about a month ago and we are so very happy that we did. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and he is very nice and very thorough. We are very happy with Comprehensive Dental Care and Dr. Checchio.

I hate going to any dentist. Actually start sweating before going . Always have . However , they help chickens like me feel comfortable and relaxed. The care is always good. Been with them since moving to the area almost 10 years ago
