Sofia Fanti is our Patient Care Coordinator who manages those confusing insurance companies, reviews your insurance coverage and prepares for your visit, allowing all of our patients to maximize their dental insurance benefits each year and gain the treatment that they desire. Sofia grew up in the small town of Clayton, NC before she moved to Dallas, TX to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant and jet set the world. After seeing the beautiful sights of Greece, Paris, New Zealand and more, Sofia came to find that Theres no place like home, and moved back to North Carolina to grow some roots in the charming town of Wilmington. When shes not cruising the Intracoastal Waterway with friends or fishing off the Johnnie Mercers pier with her dad, you can find her whipping up a delicious Italian inspired dish in the kitchen or kicked back with a book in her hand. If you want to be her favorite patient ever make sure to drop off some Hot Now Krispy Kreme doughnuts and youll immediately win her heart!
Trista Johnson is an integral part of the team at Complete Dental Leland. She serves as an Office Manager, Team Leader and assists chairside with Dr. Geeson. Trista is a proud Class of 2016 Knight, graduating from West Georgia Technical College with her Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions Certification. After living in Newnan, GA for 4 years, Trista and her husband moved back to North Carolina where she immediately put her talents to work in the dental industry, gaining valuable experience. Although she is new to the Leland area, she has lived in NC since 1998, spending most of her childhood in Clayton, NC. Growing up Trista was actively involved in team sports with most of her focus on cheer, dance and tumbling when her team landed a coveted trip to the ESPN Cheer and Dance Worlds in 2010. While not in the office, Trista loves the salt life and takes full advantage of basking in the sun beach side or spends most weekends letting the wind blow in her hair as she cruises down the Intracoastal Waterway to one of her favorite NC islands.
She has spent most of her life serving patients and helping them achieve their personal oral health and aesthetic desires. Becoming a patient means becoming a member of the family and becoming a friend.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hills School of Dentistry and has extensive experience in every facet of dentistry having worked as a dental assistant, dental hygienist, and now a dentist. She graduated from dental assisting school in Akron, Ohio in 1988 and worked as a dental assistant for many years. She then pursued dental hygiene school in Goldsboro, North Carolina and graduated with the coveted Community Dentistry Award. Dr. Geeson graduated with her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Mount Olive College in southeastern NC.
Since graduation from dental school, Dr. Geeson has continued on her lifelong quest for knowledge. She gained extensive continuing education in Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Sedation and Sleep Dentistry.
You are never fully dressed without a smile, and Dr. Geeson believes that your smile is your logo. =) Studies show that your smile is the cornerstone of every first impression, it gives you self-confidence, adds to your personality and can brighten the darkest day. She knows that the health of the teeth is directly related to the health of your entire body and as a result focuses her attention on whole health.
She believes that as a healthcare professional you should take great interest in your community and serve the needs of all individuals. Dr. Geeson has volunteered at St. Marys Community Dental Clinic in downtown Wilmington since before she graduated and has been a supporter of the North Carolina Missions of Mercy, Womens Empowerment, Latino Health Fairs, Communities and Schools and Head Start.
She moved to North Carolina in 1998 after 10 years of service to the Army and Air Force Exchange Service overseas. While overseas she traveled the world, and developed a love for experiencing new places and cultures.
She enjoys every opportunity to spend time with friends and family. Dr. Geeson has two grown children, a daughter, Trista and a son, Tyler. Trista followed in her footsteps and graduated from West Georgia Tech with her Certificate in Dental Assisting. Since then she has returned to North Carolina and joined the team here at Complete Dental Leland. Tyler works in Information Technology in Raleigh. Dr. Geeson has several furry family members as well, all of which were rescued. She loves animals and has been caught on occasion moving a turtle out of traffic.

On a trip to the Southport, NC, area from Pittsbugh, PA, a few days ago during the drive down, I had a crown that came off. I arrived too late in the evening to seek care that night. However, I noticed the Riccobene office in a plaza not far from my hotel. First thing the next morning I gave them a call to try to set up an appointment. Although they had no openings for that day, they were able to refer me to their Shallote office for a same day visit. When I arrived there, I was fortunate and relieved to be seen almost immediately. I was attended to by Dr. Viollette and his assistant Chelsea. Within 30 minutes, my crown was prepared and permanently back in place, and my vacation was rescued. I cannot express my appreciation enough for the timely and expert care I received. While I am not a local resident at this time, I know where my dental care will be had when and if that is ever the case. Riccobene has earned my respect and confidence.

This is the best dental office I have ever experienced. The girls from the front office to the back are the sweetest. Dr. Golf and Gessen are so understanding and do what they can to make you feel good about yourself. They had 1 week to get my teeth fixed for my daughter's wedding. They a did it! I had smile just in time for the wedding pictures. They really do care about their patients. If you need help go visit them.

I didn't have to wait for my appointment . Staff at the from desk were very friendly .My Hygienist was wonderful and the Doctor was extremely nice and made sure if I had any questions before I left . The office looks beautiful since they remodeled all the rooms and enlarged the building .

I received a text message on Aug 15,2022 stating that my appointment for the 17th has been canceled and that they have availability on the 18th. I called was told the could schedule me for December of 2022. I made this appointment three months ago and I should not have to wait until December. Looking for a new dentist, since Riccombine has taken over this office is not the same at all. VERY POOR PROFESSIONALISM.

i would not recommend ANYONE to get services here.. Their customer service is poor.. everytime you enter the building there's no warm inviting greeting.. The two ladies at the front desk are always swirling around in the chairs, scrolling on their PERSONAL CELL PHONES.. I literally witness a patient that was ahead of me obviously very frustrated, this lady paid her bill, they applied her payment to another patient account and sent her to collections!! I also received a bill, in which i was told it included a past due and for my next cleaning??? HOW CAN YOU CHARGE FOR SERVICES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN RENDERED??? I truly wish the OLD STAFF FROM COMPLETE DENTAL WAS STILL THERE!! THIS IS THE WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE AND STAFF IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED...

Had an appointment for Monday. Got a text on Friday for confirmation which i didnt get till Saturday. On Monday got another text apointment was still on. Got there that morning and they cancelled appt. Told me they had nothing till January. Was a client. No more. Not the first issue

My sons and I have been here a couple of times now and we are happy with the service. The staff was friendly and the dentist was very kind and gentle. I also like that they are basically a one stop shop... I would absolutely recommend them to someone looking for a local dentist who can do it all.

Very disappointed with this dental office. Yesterday finally helped me decide to leave this provider. I was told yesterday when I went in for my semi annual cleaning that my insurance would not pay. I never got my cleaning and I tried to explain that my insurance allows 2 cleanings a year but the person who does the insurance claims there insisted she was right. After leaving I was contacted by their Wilmington office and found they had entered my insurance information wrong. Not only was it embarrassing to have their office personal to stop my cleaning but they also talked about my bad insurance in front of other patients. The office personnel here is totally unprofessional. There are many other bad reviews of this establishment but they refuse to post. I guess all their friends and employee families make up this review page. Thinking of finding a local friendly dentist, we'll this isn't the place. Total disappointment

STAY AWAY! Only after your money will not stand behind what they say. Nobody is on the same page. Owner is extremely rude and talks down to people like they are beneath her. They change their policy on payment for each person apparently. They deleted my first review. Owner will not return my call after hanging up on me & will not refund my money or send my crown off like I was told they'd do.
