Sofia Fanti is our Patient Care Coordinator who manages those confusing insurance companies, reviews your insurance coverage and prepares for your visit, allowing all of our patients to maximize their dental insurance benefits each year and gain the treatment that they desire. Sofia grew up in the small town of Clayton, NC before she moved to Dallas, TX to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant and jet set the world. After seeing the beautiful sights of Greece, Paris, New Zealand and more, Sofia came to find that Theres no place like home, and moved back to North Carolina to grow some roots in the charming town of Wilmington. When shes not cruising the Intracoastal Waterway with friends or fishing off the Johnnie Mercers pier with her dad, you can find her whipping up a delicious Italian inspired dish in the kitchen or kicked back with a book in her hand. If you want to be her favorite patient ever make sure to drop off some Hot Now Krispy Kreme doughnuts and youll immediately win her heart!
Trista Johnson is an integral part of the team at Complete Dental Leland. She serves as an Office Manager, Team Leader and assists chairside with Dr. Geeson. Trista is a proud Class of 2016 Knight, graduating from West Georgia Technical College with her Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions Certification. After living in Newnan, GA for 4 years, Trista and her husband moved back to North Carolina where she immediately put her talents to work in the dental industry, gaining valuable experience. Although she is new to the Leland area, she has lived in NC since 1998, spending most of her childhood in Clayton, NC. Growing up Trista was actively involved in team sports with most of her focus on cheer, dance and tumbling when her team landed a coveted trip to the ESPN Cheer and Dance Worlds in 2010. While not in the office, Trista loves the salt life and takes full advantage of basking in the sun beach side or spends most weekends letting the wind blow in her hair as she cruises down the Intracoastal Waterway to one of her favorite NC islands.
She has spent most of her life serving patients and helping them achieve their personal oral health and aesthetic desires. Becoming a patient means becoming a member of the family and becoming a friend.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hills School of Dentistry and has extensive experience in every facet of dentistry having worked as a dental assistant, dental hygienist, and now a dentist. She graduated from dental assisting school in Akron, Ohio in 1988 and worked as a dental assistant for many years. She then pursued dental hygiene school in Goldsboro, North Carolina and graduated with the coveted Community Dentistry Award. Dr. Geeson graduated with her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Mount Olive College in southeastern NC.
Since graduation from dental school, Dr. Geeson has continued on her lifelong quest for knowledge. She gained extensive continuing education in Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Sedation and Sleep Dentistry.
You are never fully dressed without a smile, and Dr. Geeson believes that your smile is your logo. =) Studies show that your smile is the cornerstone of every first impression, it gives you self-confidence, adds to your personality and can brighten the darkest day. She knows that the health of the teeth is directly related to the health of your entire body and as a result focuses her attention on whole health.
She believes that as a healthcare professional you should take great interest in your community and serve the needs of all individuals. Dr. Geeson has volunteered at St. Marys Community Dental Clinic in downtown Wilmington since before she graduated and has been a supporter of the North Carolina Missions of Mercy, Womens Empowerment, Latino Health Fairs, Communities and Schools and Head Start.
She moved to North Carolina in 1998 after 10 years of service to the Army and Air Force Exchange Service overseas. While overseas she traveled the world, and developed a love for experiencing new places and cultures.
She enjoys every opportunity to spend time with friends and family. Dr. Geeson has two grown children, a daughter, Trista and a son, Tyler. Trista followed in her footsteps and graduated from West Georgia Tech with her Certificate in Dental Assisting. Since then she has returned to North Carolina and joined the team here at Complete Dental Leland. Tyler works in Information Technology in Raleigh. Dr. Geeson has several furry family members as well, all of which were rescued. She loves animals and has been caught on occasion moving a turtle out of traffic.

Dr. McCranie has been my dentist since 2015 and when she began working at Riccobene I switched to that practice because Dr. McCranie is not only a great clinician but also has a wonderful "chairside manner" that eliminates so much of the stress I used to experience with other dentists. The new office, just recently opened here in Leland, was also a pleasant surprise. Very clean with state of the art devices. Dr. McCranie's hygienists, Chrissie and Raven are very professional and take great care to ensure their patents are comfortable. Add on a great front office staffed with people like Amanda who can provide accurate information regarding billing questions and Riccobene Dental in Leland is a winner.

I am new to area and was fortunate enough to find this practice. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The dentist took her time with me to answer all of my questions. Overall a pleasant experience and my teeth look and feel great!

It's not a good feeling to relocate to a new area and immediately get a toothache. This practice saw me the same day and took good care of me. Everyone working at this office was kind and welcoming - My husband and I just found our new dentist!

I used to be afraid to go to the dentist but the staff here make me feel very comfortable. Donna is my hygienist and she's amazing. I don't mind going to the dentist regularly now. Highly recommend.

Newly back in the area I had not found a new dentist...cracked a tooth yesterday and after calling three other dentists they were the only ones to go the extra mile to work me into their schedule and got me in the next day. Ended up having to get a root canal and again when told I had to be out of town soon they got me into the schedule! They have my business and loyalty! I truly appreciate all the extra effort their staff made to really help me! You don't see that very often. Thank you!!

The hygienist broke a filling I had on one of my molars. When I went to have them look at the damaged molar, they decided they will charge me for replacing the filling. I spoke to them about how it was a result of my previous visit and the manager insisted that it was not the fault of the hygienists and was okay with me seeking care elsewhere. It's not about money, it's about the principle. Just horrible to take care of a customer.

After not going to the dentist in over 22 years due to extreme dental phobia, I made an appointment. Dr.McRanie is THE BEST! My first appointment for fillings I had to use the Nitrous because my nerves were so bad. I just completed my 2nd appointment (one week after the first) and am proud to say I didn't need any nitrous. I felt so comfortable and heard when sharing my concerns. I HIGHLY recommend Riccobene especially Dr.McRanie for your dental needs if you have extreme dental anxiety like I do (did). You won't regret it. If you've been putting off you appointment schedule one now! I'm so glad I was referred here by my friends.

Let me start by saying I had a life changing, fabulous experience here. Are you terrified of the dentist? Did you have a bad experience before and now you are letting yourself go because of it? Stop reading. Stop searching. You found your dentist. Fourteen years ago I had a terrorizing dental experience. I have needed a tooth pulled since. For 14 years. I dealt with infections and pain for 14 years. But I could not take it anymore. Bad teeth and infections can really affect your heart, and I had to be an adult. So the office planned for me to use nitrous gas as a way to relax. The amazing Raven let me hold her hand. And then, when I thought Dr. McRanie had just started, she said she was done. 14 years of fear over in less than 30 minutes from start to finish. I was that person who avoided the dentist, and who was ready to die before going back. Now its all gone. The fear, the anxiety, the dread are all in the past. I already booked my next appointment. I cried in the car knowing I could go back to the dentist again and get my smile back. IF YOU ARE AFRAID, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE! Make your appointment now. Thank you Dr. McRanie and Raven and the whole office for being AMAZING!

They have been the absolute best, most patient dentists and the entire staff! I have developed anxiety issues with dental in my past experiences and these guys have all, the whole staff, have put me at a lot more ease!! I will go to them for the remainder of my days, even if I have to travel there to see them!!
