Dr. Douglas Hammond was born and raised in Decatur, AL. He graduated from Austin High School and is married to the former Gayle Wilkerson of Birmingham. They have two school aged children, Lauren and Nicholas.
Dr. Hammond received his B.S. degree with high honors from Auburn University in 1979, majoring in chemistry. He was accepted at UAB School of Dentistry after three years of college. During his senior year of dental school, Dr. Hammond was named Best All Around Male Student by the Pedodontic Department. Upon graduation from dental school in 1982, he completed a year long residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham, which included rotations in Oral Surgery and Periodontics. He received his Masters of Science in Periodontics in 1986 from Indiana University School of Dentistry. His masters thesis was entitled, Long-term Effects of Orthodontic Treatment on Periodontal Health Status. While in his residency, he published an article on Treatment of Medically Compromised Patients. Upon graduation, he returned to North Alabama and established his periodontal practice in 1986.
Dr. Hammond and his staff have continued to provide a full range of periodontal services for over twenty years. In 1993, conscious I.V. sedation was incorporated into the practice to provide increased patient safety and comfort during all procedures. Dr. Hammond and his clinical staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. They are examined by the Board of Dental Examiners on a regular basis to assure effectiveness and competency in management of medical emergencies should they arise.
In recent years there has been a paradigm shift in periodontics to include periodontal surgery and dental implants. The aesthetic enhancement of periodontal plastic soft tissues to improve a patients smile and complement restorative procedures can now be performed with increased predictability and comfort. Dr. Hammond has completed an intensive mini-residency in the surgical and prosthetic aspects of dental implants at the Misch International Implant Institute in Detroit, MI. He also completed intensive continuing education and is a Recognized Specialist at the renowned Kois Center in Seattle, WA. This qualifies him to participate in the planning as well as placement of dental implants.
Dr. Hammond and his staff feel state of the art technology is also an essential part of being able to provide the highest level of service. Utilizing computer assisted digital x-rays increases the diagnostic capabilities of x-rays, while decreasing radiation exposure. This practice is also one of the few in Alabama to offer in-office Cone-Beam CT scanning capabilities. This allows for immediate and accurate assessment of bone volume in preparation for safe and predictable implant therapy.
Dr. Hammond maintains a membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is an Associate Fellow of the Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Hammond is also one of the few implant dentists in Alabama to achieve Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral Implantology. He is absolutely committed to providing the exceptional, state of the art periodontal and implant therapy for which this practice has been known.
A native of Madison, AL, Dr.Rob Sotoudehniagraduated fromMadison Academyin 1999. He then received his bachelors degree in chemistry from theUniversity of Alabama-Birmingham. After graduation, Dr. Rob attended theUniversity Of Alabama School Of Dentistry, where he received hisDoctorate of Dental Medicine(DMD). During dental school, Dr. Rob worked in the Oral Surgery Department as part of their work-study program and also volunteered at theHEALS clinic, a program that offers comprehensive dental care to local elementary schools in theHuntsville area.
Dr. Rob has attended several implant courses. His knowledge of implants ranges from single-tooth restorations to fixed-denture restorations via theAll-on-4 technique. In addition, he has taken courses focused on cosmetic dentistry,Botox therapy, andSix Month Smiles.
Before joining theComplete Dental team, Dr. Nemec-Lamont completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan. This residency program was very hospital-based and Dr. Nemec-Lamont gained experience treating medically compromised patients including those having received bone marrow or organ transplants, radiation therapy for head and neck cancer, and patients with physical and/or mental disabilities. She also became proficient at managing dental trauma cases and administering conscious sedation.

I had the Greatest Experience with Complete Dental. From scheduling to completion of my appointment. The Receptionist were fast and friendly. My X-ray technician was very thorough with my photographs and it was painless. The Beautiful Dr. Hudson promptly saw me and clearly communicated a plan to move forward with as well as a timeline on execution. My exam as a 1st time visitor was $39 for a full mouth of X-rays. My appointment was less than an hour. The office was clean, lively, and smelled fresh. Every staff member was smiling and friendly. Customers and Employees were both Happy to be there. I recommend Complete Dental for your needs.

Dr Hundson was very informative and compassionate she told me some options i didn't know about ! I love her chair side manor . Christy was also very understanding and patient with my questions . All of the staff i encounters were very professional. The office was bright and clean .

I have been coming to Complete Dental for 4 years now and I had good experience. They are professional, kind, polite and friendly. I have never had a problem. I recommend to anyone. We moved to the northeast but I will keep coming because I don't have any complaints. All the employees are very nice. Thanks for a good customer service. Blessings.!!

Pros- I was seen fast, they were able to remove tooth same day. Cons- they burnt my tongue and inside corner of my mouth. I feel I should be compensated for being burnt in multiple areas. Especially after paying $170.

I do my semi annual teeth cleaning here. I haven't needed any dental work since I started using Complete Dental over ten years ago. I enjoy going in and chatting with the staff before and after my visits. They are all great.

I had to wait over an hour before being called back.Then, once I did get called, I waited in the dentist chair for another 45 minutes! And three people who came in AFTER me, were called to the back BEFORE me! When I finally did get to see the dentist, he was in and out in less than ten minutes. I will definitely not be hoing back there!

Complete Dental is awesome! Both dentists I have seen there are very professional and very personable. The dental hygienists and staff are very kind, and especially accommodating today when my wife and I came in with our 4 kids. We are excited to start our long term dental care with them!
