My goal is to provide the best quality, personalized dentistry with the utmost care in a friendly and professional environment. I am thankful to have the ability to improve my patients self-esteem and confidence by improving their smiles.
Dr. Barbato was born and raised in South America, Bolivia. She has also had the opportunity to live in Zurich, Switzerland, and Toronto, Canada. Away from dentistry, she enjoys traveling, learning new languages and other cultures. She enjoys running, swimming, and biking, and you can always find her reading a book. Dr. Barbato is fluent in Spanish, English and is learning French.
Alicia enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. Traveling the world with her husband;Reading, yoga and bike riding. She also enjoys volunteering her time for free dental days to give back to the community she serves.
She moved to Richmond from New Jersey back in 2014 with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and our two dogs (and has a 2ndbaby boy on the way- due May 2022). She loves the outdoors including hiking, biking, kayaking and swimming and loves to spend time on the James River and gardening at home on the weekends.
He enjoys spending time with his wife outdoors and eating at different restaurants. He is heavily involved in Leadership & Ministry. He is a drummer and enjoys watching and practicing boxing on his free time.
After graduating in Italy, I moved to the US in 2009. I have 5 children and they are my life. On my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking, listening to music, dancing and cooking. I speak four languages and Im currently learning Spanish as well.

Very friedntly, efficient. Always communicating what is needed and the staff does not make you feel pressured when you cannot or decide not to have the recommended treatment! Love going here! Got me in on an emergency visit! Very kind

Knowingly performed services on me that were not covered by my insurance. Did not give me the option to perform these services, nor did they inform me that they were extra. Now they are sending me an invoice weeks later. I called to inquire - no path to resolve besides paying, so they are sending it to collections. My previous dentist that I went to for well over a decade never charged me for routine checkups. This placed has charged me quite a bit now.

Long post but very important read. Summary: The dental hygienist Summer, left me feeling a lot of pain and incorrectly did (and basically blew off) my screening for oral cancer after we discussed in a cancer survivor. I drove from the city since I heard great reviews about this place. This was my first appointment with this practice and I am extremely disappointed and in pain even after 10 hours, anti-inflammation mouth wash, and taking advil. My dental hygienist, Summer, seemed rushed throughout my entire cleaning. Apparently she was their best hygienist which is extremely concerning. Throughout my appointment it felt like she was stabbing me with the tools and was bleeding a lot to the point where I got blood on the napkin they put around your neck. When I told her I was in pain she said "take advil" Now: I have great teeth and dental hygiene and was told this by 3 employees while I was there. So there was NO reason for my teeth to hurt like that other than how she was cleaning them. She also did not tell me what she was doing each time or explain what she was talking about. I am a cancer survivor and we talked about that. At the end of the cleaning she left the room and came back with a blue light and shined it over my teeth quickly without saying anything. I asked what it was and she said it was my cancer screening. I asked why she didn't tell me and she said she did (she did in the beginning of the appointment but didn't explain what the screening looked like) I told her that she needs to tell me what she's doing prior to doing it. She said "sorry... the screening is clear" and left. When the doctor came in I told them about this situation and asked for a new screening. Summer did not do the screening correctly at all: she didn't even touch my mouth to make sure the light hit every surface of my mouth/gums. I am extremely disgusted with how Summer handled this entire visit and I'm still in pain 10 hours later. It's really disappointing because everyone else at the office was extremely kind especially the manager and receptionist. The facility was clean and they have very up to date technology that was very impressive. I just don't know if I'd trust their other hygienists given that Summer is their best...

I joined CDC of Richmond as my former practice had to move patients around. I had to reschedule my visit here a few times but they were very accommodating. This was also a coordinated visit finishing work from an endodontist. Overall everything went well. I was in and out super quick. The doctor was very informative and helped me come up with a new treatment plan based on previous treatment. Everything seemed a bit rushed - like getting the pano x ray and some of the other x rays but I get the sense dentist offices are always popping off. Very happy with my visit and looking forward to getting my teeth fixed.

Very busy place. My first time there. The sign means what it said. Complete Dental. My old dentist merge with this location. I was glad Jackie was there. She took care of me and my son. Be back next month with the rest of the family.

Today was my first time visiting Complete Dental Care of Richmond. They were extremely thorough: lots of x-rays plus a scan, a gentle cleaning, a non-rushed visit with the dentist, and they have a nice approach to explaining costs /co-pay, etc. Someone came to me, pulled up a chair and went over everything, line by line and asked if I had questions. Everyone was so friendly. I was "Welcomed" several times. I definitely recommend this place for dental care.

My visit today was fabulous. In all my years of dental visits I have never gone through such thorough evaluation. New equipment and very thorough examination of what is going on and needed. I would great recommend choosing this office and their staff.

The office is good about explaining everything being purposes for treatment. The staff was very efficient. The dental assistant was good at her job. The dentist could use some classes on "bedside communication " however she was a very good dentist.

My first visit, I found to he exceptional from the front desk, technician, Dr and back to front desk. I was very impressed with how thorough my visit was. And en enthoygh there were things to ne done, I did mot feel pressured .kudos to everyone there. Thank You
