Compass Health Network takes a person-centered, integrated approach to caring for our customers. This health care model focuses on treating the whole person and is a collaboration of care involving the individual customer, personal providers and, when appropriate, family members. Our efficient, effective services are enhanced by data and technology to ensure customers receive evidence-based care delivered in the right way, at the right time, and in the right place.

Compass Health Networks continuum of care extends to collaborative partnerships throughout the communities we serve. The information below explains unique programming in place to support a variety of needs.

Students in Kindergarten8th grade participate in prevention programs that provide education on critical age appropriate topics. The sessions are designed to help children develop new skills, and encourage children to make safe and healthy choices for themselves and others. Among the programs provided are: Personal Safety, Healthy Dating Relationships, Violence Prevention, Bullying & Teasing, Cyber Bullying, and a Sixth grade specific program titled Changes & Choices which covers a wide range of important topics. Prevention programs are being delivered in St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, and Franklin county schools.

Early Intervention Services are designed to help children identified as having emerging, mild to moderate behavioral problems, school adjustments issues, or emotionally-based social problems with the goal of preventing the need for more intensive services later in adolescence.Students in Kindergarten through Third grade are screened for emerging behavioral health issues and those needing intervention meet regularly with a trained professional on behavior modification.

As a Department of Mental Health Prevention provider, our mission is to engage and empower communities to promote and support community wellness. We provide assistance by 1) conducting community assessments; identifying risk factors influencing substance use and locating resources to address those risk factors and 2) helping communities strategically plan on how best to address drug and alcohol prevention and 3) offering community training in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, Signs of Suicide (SOS), substance use/addiction education, Tobacco Free Missouri training and more. School-based services include workshops for teacher professional development days, back to school fairs, support for prevention related activities and student prevention education training.

Audrain, Bates, Benton, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Carroll, Cedar, Chariton, Cole, Cooper, Henry, Hickory, Howard, Laclede, Morgan, Miller, Moniteau, Monroe, Montgomery, Osage, Pettis, Pike, Pulaski, Ralls, Randolph, St. Claire, Saline, and Vernon

Compass Healths Support Coordination program recognizes the importance individuals and families realizing their full potential. We provide Targeted Case Management services through a partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) Division of Developmental Disabilities for individuals of all ages in Bates, Henry and Laclede Counties.

Individuals are screened for eligibility through DMH and referred to the Support Coordination entity for the county in which they live. We work side by side with the individual and their identified network to identify and implement individualized services and supports that will increase independence, integration and inclusion in their community of choice.

The individual and/ or family is the lead member of their team in planning for future goals like fitting into a peer group at school, finishing school and going to college, obtaining competitive employment in a field of their choice or choosing a roommate that shares common interests. We assist individuals and families in planning through the lifespan and helping set in place plans so goals and dreams become reality.

The 2021 Compass Health Network Needs Assessment represents the culmination of a systematic 4-month process of reviewing the health issues and other needs present in the populations we serve, leading to agreed strategic priorities that will improve health and reduce inequities. Among the key reasons for conducting this needs assessment are:

  • Evidence-based reconnaissance, built on the assumption that some specific common needs exist among groups of patients/customers that can, and should, be proactively addressed through Compass Health Networks primary care, oral health care, and behavioral health services;
  • Future-focused strategies, anticipating change, because we recognize that neither the customer who comes through Compasss doors today, nor the needs demanding the most attention at present, necessarily represent the long-term health needs or emerging health improvement opportunities in the communities we serve; and
  • Meeting accreditation standards, such as those put forth by CARF, which demand that we have a systematic ongoing process for surveying needs, listening to the voices of stakeholders, and weaving that information into our strategic planning process.

    Walked out after they refused to let me go back with my daughter. Also, I've been told they like to charge for unnecessary services without prior authorization from responsible party .

    Walked out after they wanted my 10yr old daughter to go back ALONE for a filling with a strange man we haven't even met. They refused to see her if she was not alone. Also, been told they like to charge for unnecessary services without prior authorization from responsible party. Not sure if they wanted her alone to rack up charges or to just be alone with a little girl but no thank you either way.

    This provider is an "in network" dentist for my insurance. I went there with my 2 kids for preventative care appointments which are always covered by insurance but what I got was over $200 in dental bills. Any other dentist I have EVER been to has told me before a procedure of any cost related to that procedure, so that I could make an informed decision. NOT THIS OFFICE. The blame by the manager was put on the insurance for not covering things, that this clinic's people deal with far too many insurances to know coverage specifications. It's strange that in all my years of going to dentists, an office manager never told me that. Instead they would have done their research and took care of their patient. But NOT THIS OFFICE, unnecessary panoramic images were taken (costing me $53x3) and flouride was administered twice to my son when he is considered too old for this and it is not covered (costing me $40x2). At any time was I asked if I wanted to proceed despite the costs??? NO, I naively just did as they instructed and "thought" that they had my back. WRONG! So BE WARNED, if you are going to go here, do NOT expect them to warn you of any cost before hand and don't expect them to make any negotiations. They were kind and professional when we were being treated but besides that I am very disappointed. We will not be back and I will not recommend another person to them. Protecting my pocketbook and providing the patient with ample information to make informed decisions on their treatment are also part of PATIENT CARE, but they haven't figured any of that out yet.

    I would NOT recommend going here! I called on Monday to schedule an appointment and told the receptionist that I needed a back tooth pulled that Im now getting sick from because my tooth has a hole from a cavity and it's ruptured to the nerve, I got told I would have to call back Friday they don't do appointment scheduling til Friday!! I'm not joking. So I went and got antibiotics from another DR and took Ibprophen until I could get seen and help take away the infection. I called Friday made an appointment the next Wednesday at 9:30, showed up at 8:50 to fill out paperwork waited til 10:20 to get seen and got told by the dentist he didn't have time and I would have to just continue taking antibiotics and set up another appointment up to 7weeks Im serious. I was crying I wasted my time some desntist could have pulled it out and these people wasted my time. I've been suffering from this and that's not a joke. I thankfully Prayed and called dentists all around and Smile Dental in Moberly got me in and pulled my tooth that same day. Amen Please dont waste your time with Salisbury call places that are going to fix your problem on the appointment day

    Dr. Bonnette is very knowledgable, friendly, and doesn't sugarcoat things. He was my family doctor as a kid. Glad I decided to see him again. Nurse staff was awesome!

    Dr Harris and staff are absolutely amazing! I've had 12 teeth pulled there (most of them being surgical) and I've not once felt any pain or discomfort. All the staff even at the front desk have been very friendly, and Dr Harris has always made sure I'm comfortable through the whole process. I've even been late to one appointment but I called to let them no I was running behind and there was never a problem. Dr Harris has helped me tremendously by taking care of me. I am now feeling a lot better health wise, because my problem teeth have been removed, and now I'm getting my confidence back because how good my teeth are looking. I would recommend this place to any and everyone needing dental work. I used to be terrified of the dentist but after seeing Dr Harris I can't wait to see him because I know my teeth will look better every time I go. Thank you Dr Harris and staff for all you've done for me and all your hard work!!!!!

    Day trip in NE Missouri today. It looks like it would rain, but the forecast doesn't call for any. FYI. Do NOT make a dental appt at the Salsbury, MO Family Health and Dental... The receptionist AMY will give you a stack of paperwork to fill out (even though I am an established patient, just at a sister office). Then instead of calling me back for my cleaning/exam, and telling me to finish or do the paperwork later, she makes me sit there and take 20 min to do it, not call me back for the appt, and THEN when I take up the paperwork she tells me.... Get ready for this...oh and we drove 1 1/2 hours for the appt... We will have to reschedule your appointment because the appts are 1 hour slots and it's 20 min into your time! It took me 20 min to fill out the PAPERWORK AMY, that YOU gave me when I got there on time! And the only thing that would have changed for me as an established patient was my meds and today's date!!!! So why give me paperwork for FULL medical history, insurance etc?? She gave me paperwork that asked FAMILY history, IF I have insurance, ALL the diseases known to man and YES or NO, do I have them. They already HAVE all of this!!! So we just left. Wasted $25 in gas +our TIME + THE FRUSTRATION! I have no choice but to travel to Marceline, Salsburg or Columbia for dental as my insurance plan is not accepted as in-network by anyone in Kirksville. So travel is necessary. I have a Marketplace plan and no one in our city of 18k will take it! Amy tells me that I will have to reschedule, no matter how I try to reason with her on this. She had ZERO empathy. She proceeded to retort, "we have an opening tomorrow at xxx time. Of course we aren't going to drive all the way back there tomorrow. Plus no one tells me when I made the appt that there would be a necessity to fill out pages of paperwork at all! Just to have my teeth cleaned. I then asked her if starting in Jan will they be accepting this new insurance that I will have? I give her the name, she said she can't tell me until the new year! So how can I even make another appt?!! Is this the Twilight zone!!?? I want this woman fired! I think she put me through this by her own error and it's just not right! Oh, I asked for a mngr, she told me there isn't any at that sight, only MARCELINE! SO if a mngr reads this, I expect to get a phone call! Darlene
