Dr. David Lai completed his Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in upstate Rochester, New York. During his studies, he focused on surgeries as well as complex dental treatment to ensure that he could care for his patients with correct methods and materials.

Dr. David Ka Lai and Dr. Monica Wu both come from the East Coast and are proud graduates of Virginia Commonwealth Universitys School of Dentistry. They met in dental school and went on to finish their dental residency programs after graduation. Dr. David Lai completed his Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in upstate Rochester, New York. During his studies, he focused on surgeries as well as complex dental treatment to ensure that he could care for his patients with correct methods and materials. He volunteers his time atTzu-Chi Foundation,providing pro-bono dentistry to the underserved, and participates in the annualAmerican Dental Associations' Give Kids A Smilecampaign, to help children in local schools find a dental home.
In their free time, Dr. Wu and Dr. Lai love exploring the Bay Area with their two dogs: Remy and Maylee. These office mascots are a delight to many patients who request them as emotional support dogs.

Finally found the ONE <3.. Dr. Monica and all the staffs are beyond AMAZING and super friendly!! I've never looked forward for my dental cleaning until I started to visit here. Although, now I moved further away from here, but I still come to this dentist because I don't think I will find any better place than here. 100% recommended.

I went in for a cleaning and it was an amazing overall experience! Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist was exceptional! I only went for a cleaning but the staff and the dentist took a lot of time to make me feel comfortable and listen to any concerns I had! Highly recommend compass dental

Had my first appointment and Dr David was patient and answered all my questions wonderfully. The best part about the clinic is that they go out of their way to make their patients comfortable. They also have a speaker and tv set up to allow patients to watch Netflix and Disney shows while getting their teeth fixed!

Had a great experience with Compass. I recently switched dentists and found that the staff at Compass are very knowledgeable, accommodating, and generally just very nice. I would definitely recommend Compass to those looking for a new dental office.

Been going here for years, these guys have been amazing! They've seamlessly accommodated for pandemic, and even now continue to only get better over time. Dr. Wu and Dr. Lai have really gone above and beyond to look after my dental health, and the staff are all great people to be around.

Just had the best cleaning of my life with Sheila. She explained every step and answered every question I had. This office also offers you a hand massager during your visit and it is so relaxing! Never changing dentists office again.
