To provide affordable, comprehensive, culturally appropriate, cost effective primary health care to residents of the greater Southeastern Iowa region, especially those individuals/families with limited resources or with other barriers to health care, in order to improve their overall health status.
CHC/SEIA is a non-profit network of community health clinic sites providing high quality, affordable, primary health care to anyone regardless of age, race, nationality, income, employment, health insurance status or residency.
Community Health Centers of South East Iowa, Inc. (CHC/SEIA) is a nonprofit health care clinic guided by its mission statement to provide access to affordable, compassionate, high quality health care for all, while helping to improve the health of the area care is provided no matter what a persons financial situation is. Both uninsured and insured patients are welcome.
The concept of Community is the heart of our organization. CHC/SEIA is owned and operated by people living in our community. This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. We are also supported by grant funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration which makes it possible for us to offer financial assistance in the form of sliding fee discounts to low-income individuals.

My mother had her front tooth extracted over 4 months ago. She just had some fillings done and I'm appalled she can't get back in until february for more fillings. So by the time she is able to get a front tooth or any kind of partial made it will.be almost a year. Why such a long wait to get patients in especially letting a patient go that long without a front tooth. No treatment plan has been given so my mother has no idea what the plan is overall

It's been over a year now since I've had several teeth that had to be pulled including my front tooth about 4 months ago and still no word on a treatment plan for me to get partial dentures or implants done. I have more fillings to be done but they can't get me in until February of next year. I don't understand why I have to wait so long?! I have developed a complex in which I don't want to smile anymore.

My son and I have been going here for years and have never had any issues. The receptionists are wonderful, the hygienist are wonderful and treat my son with disabilities with great care and respect. Dr. Sarah is one of the best dentist I've been to.

Everything went well with cleaning and my first couple visits until I had a cavity filled by dr Johnson who was very friendly and professional however the filling was done poorly. Upon trying to make an appointment to have it fixed I was told no appointment could be scheduled and I have to wait until they call me with an availability to see me. I have since had another dental clinic look at it and should have the filling redone correctly Monday.

After a couple of months of waiting to get an appointment, it was cancelled with minimal notice due to the dentist no longer being with them. Made another appointment for the same tooth several months later to be told it was "protocol" to use a mouthwash with endocrine disruptors and food coloring. After "allowing" me to decline, I was told my x-rays from the previous visit (10months prior) were no longer useful and they would need to be taken again. If I refused, the tooth would be left to rot in my mouth due to the "ada code of ethics" while conveniently forgetting the section about patient autonomy. They appear to be a money grab after just the couple appointments I have been to. If you want a very clearly unhealthy person to tell you how to manage your health while making sure you're a return customer, CHC Keokuk is the place to go.

I walked in here with anxiety and fear of the dentist stopping me from coming for years, and I left no longer afraid of the dentist. I got three tooth extractions and I'll be going back to get more. Through the whole appointment I was taken care of and comforted. If you have dental anxiety and fears, I really recommend this place. Dr Tessa Johnson, and Jessica were very amazing. Thank you guys so much for your kindness and understanding and getting me back healthy again.

This was the best experience I have ever had at a dental center. The place is extremely clean the dental hygienists are nice and courteous. The dentist was kind, helpful and did a fantastic job fixing my teeth. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I had my first Prophy (cleaning) with the Hygenist Annie last Wednesday. The whole experience was wonderful. I couldn't stop looking at my teeth for days because they looked & felt wonderful. Annie has a bubbly, warm personality where you look forward to coming back to have your teeth cleaned. The overall experience was a perfect 10 out of 10!! Thank you Annie!
