Why is the Community Free Dental Clinic Needed?First and foremost, Medicaid does not cover any dental procedure for adults in the state of Alabama. This leaves low-income, vulnerable populations without the ability to have dental prevention, care or treatments completed.
According to the 2020 U.S. Census Bureau, Alabama is the 7th poorest state in America. The poverty level in Madison county is 13.6% of the population or about 45,000 people.This population is largely undereducated, working paycheck to paycheck with no money left for the high-cost of dental care. They include elderly on fixed incomes in need of dentures, but unable to afford to have teeth pulled, veterans, and homeless adults.
All our patients have broken, painful teeth and they can get infected gums or abscesses, which are life threatening. The bacteria can go to the heart and brain, and in some cases precipitate a heart attack or stroke.Our clinic has the ability to pull the damaged teeth and give antibiotics for infections at no cost to patients.
Who We Are:The Community Free Dental Clinic (DBA) is a 501(c)(3)non-profit. Our funding comes from individuals, local businesses, grants, and churches. In addition to monetary donations we receive office supplies, tooth brushes, tooth paste, dental supplies and volunteer hours.

This was a wonderful clean place everyone was nice everything was clean everyone was friendly and I have to say this is the best dentist I've been to since I've been living here in Huntsville and I'm 55 years old and I've been to a couple of dentist but this is the best foremost best one I've been to looking forward to going back and having them fix my mouth for me. Thank you

If you want to feel excruciating pain please go here... everything was rushed! Worst experience ever if you can request the male dentist please do, I've heard nothing but great things about them. Stay clear and RUNNNNN if you get a female dentist! The injections will still have you feeling everything ! More caring ppl should volunteer.

I had a partial filling, the female dentist was nice and the dental assistant was nice as well. It was quick and painless. Everyone was sweet to me

Painless very nice efficient caring place, I think I almost fell asleep I was so comfortable. I worked myself up into a frenzy scared for no reason. I would definatly go back" if I have to" don't let fear stop ya. Just had wisdom tooth extracted 9am this morning felt nothing easy breezy

I had a lot of work to get done extractions as you know I was numbed but the pressure was excruciating. I was moaning the black nurse asked me to be quiet and the doctor that was doing the extraction said to be quiet as well it's other patients in here. At that point I said well yes I'm a patient as well you can't ask me to be quiet it's my mouth and the pressure is extreme. I was asked to leave but I could come back on their terms. The doctor had left my wisdom tooth in that he had been trying to dig out with whatever tool he was using. Just because it's free you don't have to treat people like they don't matter. This is why I've never wanted to go to the dentist.

Awesome people. So fun and do great work. Don't parallel park in front of the door. The lines means park in between them. Great group. They do awesome work and are so nice. Unless parallel park.

Worst experience of my life! I hate to say this but if you are colored You might as well find somewhere else to go!! X-rays sitting right in front of him and he still acted as if he didn't know anything on the screen to busy trying to Insult my intelligence! I will not be returning. THE RECEPTIONIST GUY WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AS WELL!
