Community Dental provides accessible and affordable oral health care services to strengthen the community and help our patients build healthier lives. We focus on oral health education and disease prevention through preventive services, also offering restorative and emergency oral care to those in need. Our veteran staff of dedicated dentists and hygienists see over 16,000 patients of all ages each year, with the strong conviction that every child, adult and senior deserves the opportunity to experience quality, comprehensive dental care throughout their lives. We serve Southern and Central Maine, as well as The Western Foothills; our dental centers are located in Portland, Biddeford, Lewiston, Rumford, and Farmington.
On their 52nd anniversary, the Children's Dental Clinic became known as the Center for Community Dental Health and expanded their scope of service to include the whole family; children, parents, and grandparents. The organization continued to expand, opening locations in other areas within southern Maine, reaching up to the Western Foothills and central Maine before changing their name to Community Dental in 2003. 100 years since that small office on High street, Community Dental has become one of the most comprehensive non profit dental organization in the country. Constantly expanding the services we offer to the community, Community Dental is a five-center, state-of-the-art, oral health care organization. True to our mission, we have provided quality, comprehensive dental care to generations of smiling families.
Dr. Genko Stanilov, Dental DirectorDr. Stanilov has been in Maine for the better part of a decade, with degrees from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, and the Sofia School of Dental Medicine in his home country of Bulgaria. He completed his residency at the Montefiore Hospital, through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Stanilov enjoys playing squash, running, and vintage motorcycles. Community Dental is the clear reason why I dedicated myself to dentistry, meeting and helping people from so many different cultures and social backgrounds I am glad that I can contribute.
Dr. Meghann DombroskiDr. Dombroski is a Maine native who has been practicing dentistry for almost a decade. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, completing her residency in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics, and obtained her Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. After 11 years of school, Dr. Dombroski and her husband moved back to Maine to raise their family, where they love to adventure and explore our beautiful state, as well as travel abroad.
Dr. Mattie ParadiseDr. Paradise is a Maine native, returning home to complete her dental residency with Community Dental through Tufts University School of Dental Medicines AEGD program. She graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, excited for her entry into the world of oral health. Dr. Paradise is an avid beach-goer, enjoys a nice tee time and studying the finer points of oenology.
Dr. Laura Callan Dr. Callan grew up in San Diego, California and moved to Boston where she attended Boston University for Bachelors in Human Anatomy and Masters in Oral Health Sciences. She graduated from Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2020 and moved to Portland, Maine. After completing her AEGD residency through Tufts University, she began working for Community Dental. Dr. Callan enjoys the beach, exploring Maine hiking trails, and listening to true crime podcasts.

This place has known for months now that their only dentist was going to be leaving, and they still didn't find a replacement. What is the point 9f a dentist office, with no dentist. Also everytime I call, the receptionist is extremely rude to me, acting like it's Mt fault I need dental care and don't have a dentist to fix it.

I hate this place! My jaw is in constant pain and popping and they refuse to believe me. They always say "nothing we can do about it" and then I try to get a referral and they deny it so I have to pay 500$ out of pocket to get dental work because they didn't give a referral. They absolutely suck and I will be switching dentist do not recommend!!

I had an appointment and drove over an hour away just for them to turn me away and tell me I couldnt be seen because I had my child with me. I was so mad and they made me feel so embarrassed about it!

I have never had such a good experience at the dentist's office these folks care about they're patients im new with them and wanted to feel comfortable with having work done. I was pleasantly surprised and I will always use this office. Courteous staff and a dentist that tells it like it is. Very easy and quickly I felt very assured I found the right place. The biggest thing was that I felt they wanted to help and it was important to them that I was at ease with they're procedures. Due to the many poor experience I've had with different dentist's I should have given them a 6. I recommend these people highly

On this, my first visit, I was seen on extremely short notice and treated like I had been a long-standing patient. The staff was courteous and kind. They took a thorough medical history and within minutes brought my anxiety level from a 10 to 1. The people of Rumford are very fortunate to have such a quality, professional health care facility. On this, my first visit, I was seen on extremely short notice and treated like I had been a long-standing patient. The staff was courteous and kind. They took a thorough medical history and within minutes brought my anxiety level from a 10 to 1. The people of Rumford are very fortunate to have such a quality, professional health care facility. On Monday, my dentist diagnosed a cracked tooth and recommended extraction. Unfortunately, he did not remove teeth. Unable to get an appointment within 40 miles without waiting at least 6 weeks and being put on a waiting list for a cancelation, I did an online search and found Community Dental in Rumford, Maine. It was late Friday morning when I called, and was told I could walk-in. On Friday afternoon, my abscessed, cracked tooth was removed. Yes, there was a wait, but the staff fit me in between patients. At 6 pm when the anesthetic wore off, I was pain-free for the first time in 5 days. Thank you Dr. Mohamed, Nicole, and the receptionist (I'm sorry I didn't get your name). The skill was outstanding, the care was superb, the compassion was genuine, and the price was reasonable. Although it is a one hour drive for me, Community Dental in Rumford has earned my business. -Ted Miller, Gorham, NH
