Maybe my worst dental experience and I've had teeth pulled and braces for years. Went to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Had one very short consultation with the male oral surgeon(even though I was told I'd have a female) He was very cocky and made me feel uneasy. The next time I see him I am being prepped and strapped with wires in the chair. You can see my heart rate go from 83 to 130. In my chart is my panic disorder disability. He tries to get the IV in my arm and can't, he then tries to get it in my hand (such an uncomfortable feeling) he is fiddling for what feels like 10 minutes. I tell the nurse Im feeling faint, "he's almost got it", you can see my blood pressure on the monitor dip. I tell her I'm going to throw up, you need to get me a bag. She does, he throws his hands up, says he'll come back later, and leaves the room. I throw up and immediately feel better. When he comes back in they give me a bit of gas like they should've in the beginning. I wake up and he's only taken out one tooth instead of two because he doesn't want an infection to spread, he gives me antibiotics. (Wouldn't that take care of the infection) The molar next to the empty wisdom tooth spot has been affected in a negative way. The other wisdom tooth is still sitting in my half torn open gums. Pretty sure I have a constant infection because of this. Go anywhere else.

They don't call back and the staff is rude and it's extremely hard to make an appointment. If I could give 0 stars I would

Yesterday morning I had a toothache out of nowhere. It got worse and worse. Upper front tooth. After not being able to sleep I went there at 8:00 am. for an emergency visit. Had to wait a little bit but they got me in and extracted the culprit. I feel like a million bucks right now and I can't thank them enough. The staff and Drs. We're so professional and compassionate to keep you at ease it was stunning .Thank you Community Dental of Portland for taking such awesome care of me.

Was quoted a price for work I needed that MaineCare didn't cover, and was quoted prices on appointments.... Ended up having to pay more than double than what they quoted me! Was told I needed to pay it all at once right there or I would not be able to schedule my emergency tooth surgery! Luckily, I was able to pay for it.... But it cost A LOT... And now I am terrified to go to surgery, because I fear they will tell me the wrong price, and I will end up spending all my savings.... And every time I ask about it, everyone seems to have different answers. This isn't even my official dentist right now. I haven't had one since being accepted on Mainecare... I applied to be a patient out of necessity, but even then they said I probably won't be seen until June or July. I'm going to get the surgery done, and hopefully be able to find a different dentist. The people have been nice to me here, but I was told to schedule appointment over the phone and that was a nightmare, just because this appointment was considered an emergency by them and it took them so long to get back to me. They don't answer the phone, which would be fine if they actually called you back.... I would avoid this place if you can. If you're on Mainecare and out of options like me, I feel you.

If you are African American & on Mainecare do not go here. I went to CD with an emergency. They said sorry we can't help. After telling them I will call 911, they offered to look at it. This never happened. I spent 3 hours waiting. A white man comes in with an emergency, they ask him to fill out the paperwork, & someone will come to assist. Racist. Awful, do not go.

Through my job, I met an employee at Community Dental who helped me sign up after going six years without dental care. I have been a regular patient for three years now, had a lot of work done and have been very happy with it. Amanda Sebok changed my dental health for the better, and continues to be my dental advisor and advocate! I highly recommend Community Dental.

Every person I've talked to there has been so unbelievably rude. I don't want to go to this office AT ALL and sadly have no choice due to insurance. I've never hated a place or had so much anxiety regarding dental work in my life. Awful.

Very unprofessional front desk and not helpful at all. This matter needs to be reviewed as soon as possible because the patients are people who need medical attention and not in a good mood for extra pain.

I walked in to pick up paperwork to become a new patient. The lady at the front was so rude. I was in line behind a couple of people. I heard the desk lady being super rude to the patient at the desk about her paperwork missing. The line was getting bigger and bigger so then the desk lady said "I don't know move to the side and I will figure it out. I'm gonna see what these people need first." HOW IS THAT OKAY!? That's terrible. She was very condescending. When I got up next I asked for the paperwork and then asked if they had pediatric dentists too so I could get my daughter in. She was ruder than H3ll and said "we only have regular dentists right now. So I don't know. I only have you 1 packet so you need 2 now or?" How could she not know? So very unprofessional. This is the pretty dark skinned lady. I think she is stuck up and should NOT be at the front desk. She needs a diff job. I walked out and just from talking to her I will never go here. I can't imagine what the rest of the staff is like. I wasn't even going to write a review. I don't think I have EVER written one before. But this was crazy. She wasn't even wearing a mask. I just don't get it. The waiting room is also so dirty and just disgusting. And there was absolutely no parking.

I have 2 kiddos seen at this office I travel far & they can't seem to be able to get their stuff together let alone when THEY get frustrated it is reflected upon patients... my call ended today with me after NO help told to speak to Amanda whom I'm always pushed off onto poor girl! & she's outstanding!! I ended with well thank you for the help & get a response of YUP mmhmm click....so unprofessional & As stated before RUDE... oh & maybe a separate staff parking is needed patients don't want to hear staff bashing patients while they take a smoke!!!

I honestly don't understand why people complain so much? I went in with NO appointment today, they got me in quickly, and no I wasn't screaming of pain. The hygienist was super nice. The dr was very extremely nice and professional. The place is amazing, it's clean and tidy. I'm glad I didn't read those awful reviews.
