North Silver Spring Community Dental and Health Clinic, INC was founded in 2014 by Dr. Yasmin Majid (a Doctor of Dental Surgery) and Dr. Javed Rahmat ( a board certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology). They have operated successful medical / dental practices for over 30 years in the metropolitan region. They feel blessed personally and professionally and felt it was time to do more for the underserved at both the local and international levels.
Dr. Majid has over 37 years experience in private practice performing general dentistry, implant dentistry, minor oral surgery, LANAP laser assisted periodontal surgery, and Dr. Chaos Pinhole Surgical Technique for receding gums. Dr. Majid attended Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington DC. She performed her post-graduate training in general dentistry and minor oral surgery at DC General Hospital in Washington, DC. She has earned a faculty position in the Department of Endodontics at Howard University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Rahmat completed medical school at Khyber Medical College in 1973. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology training at Georgetown University in 1983 attaining board certification in both fields. After completion of training he remained in the DC Metropolitan area for over 30 years in private practice while also serving as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. After a long and distinguished career - he has recently retired from his medical practice and will dedicate his time to philanthropic pursuits.
