I absolutely love Dr. Joy and her staff. My son has fell twice and injured his teeth. Both times I was able to come in right away. Everyone is so professional and kind, Dr. Joy and all of the nurses are very helpful in answering questions and give great care to my son. I would recommend anyone to Commonwealth Pediatric Dental Specialist.

Both if my girls love Dr. Joy and her staff. The fact I can say we are going to see Dr. Joy and they get excited to go speaks volumes. Everyone is so sweet and takes the time to make sure everyone is comfortable. Try them out you will not be disappointed!!!!!!

We are so happy to have found this pediatric dentistry for our daughter! Everyone at the office is SO nice, and Dr. Joy is so gentle and kind during her examination. Will continue to bring the little one here for as long as we can as well as recommending it to everyone!

They work so well with my son, they give him reassurance and allows him to get comfortable with him. They are patient and show him everything they will be doing and using and I love it! Glad i switched over to them! I 20/10 recommend to other families!

Consistent exceptional professional dental care from phones calls, to office staff, to dental hygienist, to in person services. COVID-19 precautions are followed per CDC guidelines. Dr. Joy is a joy and our toddler daughter, who cries going to see her MD, gets excited when it's time to see her Dentist.

Dr. Joy was so informative in what she was telling us about my son's teeth. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. Gabby was the reason I ended up getting in so soon to have my son's needs met she actually made the appointment but also gave me insight to a lot of things over the phone. The assistant bedside manner's was so awesome. This is truly a place I trust my child's care in. They absolutely rock! Very patient, caring and go beyond to assist and help. The whole team is just awesome and they make not only the parents feel comfortable they actually makes the children feel so at ease! I know it can be hard working with a population of children of different ages and getting the work done but they are good at what they do! Definitely would recommend this place.

Our hygienist is amazing, she went along with our child at his speed, showed him all the dental tools, let him touch and be comfortable. Make it a fun and painfree experience, for both my kid and me! I really appreciate her approach. It was perfect.

I absolutely adore this Dentistry. I have been bringing my kids to them for at least the last three years once I made the change I knew I was not going to have to change to anywhere else. They have an amazing staff! We usually see Dr. Joy Phillips and she is amazing as well my kids are very comfortable and as a mom who has had trauma with a dentist it makes me feel comfortable as well.

Unfortunately, after trying to resolve this issue personally with Commonwealth Pediatric Dental, we have to leave them a poor review to match the extremely poor communication and billing experience we had with them. To be clear, we were actually very happy with the dentistry service itself and the service of technicians and dentist...everyone was very nice and they did a great job with our kids. The issue has to deal with their billing and the misrepresentation of the cost of the services. My spouse already works in healthcare as a nurse and knowing the general lack of transparency of costs in the healthcare system, we were very careful in choosing a dentist to set up regular cleaning for our children. After receiving a quote of appx. $100 per child per cleaning over the phone prior to our visit, and along with the stellar reviews, we thought Commonwealth would be the right place for our kids. At our visit, we had an excellent visit and our kids felt very comfortable. The problem came at the checkout counter, we were billed $600 ($720 before insurance kicked in) for the visit for our two children that day. Needless to say, it was quite shocking when were were expecting about 1/3 of that cost based on the quote we received. Everything was seemingly standard with the visit: a few x-rays, some fluoride, and just a general cleaning....at least we thought those were standard options. It was disappointing that it was not communicated that the X-rays, a 5 second brush with fluoride, and checking for an overbite would cost an additional $400. It's one thing to charge more for those services, that's fine, but I would have very much appreciated the option to accept or decline those procedures and/or to at least know that they were "extra" costs. The dentist did ask if we wanted to do fluoride in the context of the tooth paste that was being used in the cleaning, but that was really it...no other sort of consultation to elect different services. We're just really disappointed none of this was clearly laid out, especially after doing what we thought was due diligence in advance to have some transparency of the costs. Overall, we just feel cheated and humiliated. Update (4/19/2022): Just getting around to updating here, but want to update with the accurate information. The dentist office did reach out per the response below. They stated that nothing could be done about the original $600 charge. Instead, they offered an additional 10% off their services on our next visit (appx. $540 vs. $600). They made it clear that the additional 10% off was only good for the next visit, but not beyond that. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will be contacting our credit card company regarding the matter.

An amazing experience from all the staff!!!! Dr. Joy's nurse was so warm and welcoming not only to my son the patient but also to my other two sons that we tagging along!!! Dr. Joy's name says it all!!! A pure pleasure to met them all! Lifetime patients now! Thank you to all that we encountered today!
