Dr. Murphy earned his DMD from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2009, where he was a four year class representative and served on several committees including the Ethics, Professionalism, and Citizenship committee. While at Tufts, he received the Walther Askinas Scholarship for Excellence in Ethics and Citizenship and the Dr. Alfred Osher Endowed Scholarship.
Dr. Murphy completed his specialty residency in pediatric dentistry in 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island where he served as chief resident. Dr. Murphy is a board candidate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Murphy's pre-dental studies were at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he graduated cum laude in 2004. While attending UMass Amherst, Dr. Murphy was a wide receiver/tight end on the varsity football team from 2000-2002. and was an active member of the school's leadership council.
Dr. Murphy lives in Easton with family. Dr. Murphy enjoys exercising, playing golf, and spending as much time as he can with his family. A passionate sports fan and athlete, he is a die-hard Boston sports fan and a Notre Dame football fan.

Zero stars. Worst experiences ever - terrible communication. We have made multiple appointments to have procedure for superficial tooth to be removed. These appointments were made months out because they are booked out so far, which I understand, but when we show up they have changed the appointment with NO communication to us. Now it has been almost a year since we have tried to book this tooth extraction, and still has not been removed. Having it remain in his mouth is causing damage to his adult teeth, etc.

I have gone here for years. The people here are so incredibly nice. The staff really makes an effort to know you. They are gentle and great with kids. definitely recommend!!!

I bring all three of my young daughters to Commonwealth Pediatric Dental! We were recommended by another dental office, and thank god for that! Dr Murphy and his team have been fabulous with my children. The office staff, all the hygienists, as well as dentists all seem to have a way with kids. I feel as a parent my concerns and expectations were more than met. We're happy clients

Cannot say enough great things about the staff here with Dr Murphy and Dr Oliviera. They have always made my children feel safe and welcomed. The techs are always thorough,playful, & gentle and the reception (receptionist Alex is who I deal with mostly) are all amazing. Dr Murphy removed an a double abscess from my sons mouth a few years back and I couldn't even believe I had ever gone anywhere else after being treated so well. They are clean, up to date with machinery & honestly the best dentist ever! will continue to drive way out of my way to see them everytime.

Very friendly staff. First appointment with them and they treated myself and my daughter wonderfully. My daughter is 5 and non-verbal autisitic they did everything possible to make her first experience a good one. Highly recommend any one to give them a call and experience it thenseleves :)

It was my daughter's first dental visit and when we walked in it felt very welcoming. The dental assistant was very kind and made me feel at ease. Dr. Murphy was great, he was gentle and made sure [daughter] had a good first experience. Thank you.

We love this place! I travel to their office from New Bedford because they are that wonderful! They always have my kiddos in and out, always accommodate our crazy schedule and take my two little ones at the same time so there's no fighting or having to wait for the other to be done. My children look forward to their cleanings- that should tell you all you need to know!

Dr.Murphy and his staff are amazing !!! We travel a distance and it is well worth the travel because our daughter is very happy with the wonderful treatment and care from Dr. Murphy and his staff . I highly recommend Commonwealth pediatric dental to anyone with children .
