Dr. David Miller is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon located in Commack, New York. As an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Miller is trained to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases of the gums, teeth, and jaw. Some of the more common treatments Dr. Miller provides are dental extractions, removal of impacted teeth, bone grafts, dental implants, oral biopsies and IV sedation.
Dr. David Miller graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at SUNY Buffalo in 1990. Dr. Miller is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where he works in the clinic with the dental students. He is on the staff of St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center as well as treating residents of St. Catherine Nursing Home and Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Home.
Dr. Miller believes that it is important to give back to the community. In addition to his volunteer work at SUNY Stony Brook, Dr. Miller is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Commack Kings Park. He has served as chairman of the Rotary Clubs blood drives, is a Past-President and as is currently the treasurer.
Dr. Millers office provides oral surgery services to patients in Commack as well as surrounding towns in Suffolk County, Long Island. Our dental services include: dental implants, wisdom tooth extractions and other oral surgery.
Our oral surgery office is able to dispense most of the prescriptions written by Dr. Miller. This avoids having to wait for the medications at the pharmacy. Also, the cost of the medications is often less than the insurance co-pay. Otherwise, the prescriptions can be called in to the pharmacy to lessen the waiting time.
