Dr. Hohimers fascination with state-of-the-art technologies is a great benefit to our patients hes always at the forefront to ensure that you will receive the best and most advanced care available today. He has lived in South Florida since 2001, and at present, enjoys life in East Ft. Lauderdale where he is active in community organizations and takes advantage of the areas relaxed lifestyle. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hohimer likes to read, cook, participate in fitness activities, travel and explore the techno geek side of life.
Captivated by precision technologies that aid in patient comfort, especially when essential for cosmetic and implant dentistry, Dr. Hohimer has completed advanced training in dental implant placement and restoration, Invisalign invisible orthodontics, and sedation dentistry. He is also certified in the use of Botox in dentistry. Dr. Hohimer has taught other dentists in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and with his certification in using Botox in dentistry, he can apply his finely honed skills to assess the balance and overall esthetics of the face as well as address jaw joint issues such as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). Dr. Hohimer is active in state, national, and international organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the Florida Society for Dental Anesthesiology.
Dr. Hohimer is passionate about providing the most gentle, comprehensive, and advanced techniques available. He has a special interest in treating patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea using custom oral appliances. He also believes that by delivering a broad spectrum of opportunities from Botox and cosmetic dentistry to sedation, he can ensure a smile strategy that can be tailored to meet your unique needs.
Dr. Matthew J. Fien received his bachelors degree from the University of Florida and his doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed post-graduate training in the specialty of Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Fien has completed a number of research projects which have led to his work being published in various peer-reviewed dental journals, including the Journal of Periodontology, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Fien is actively engaged in several clinical research studies in the fields of Periodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Tissue Regeneration. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.
My goal is to serve my local community and develop personal relationships with my patients and their families. I believe in working in an ethical, efficient, and happy environment where patients and staff are treated with respect. I believe that with these goals in mind, a practice can sustain and grow a successful business.

If I could give a twenty star rating I would, because five is not enough! From the moment I spoke with Bri on the phone she was so sweet working with me. Even when I walked into the office she knew exactly who I was. The staff (forgive me...I am terrible with remembering names) was so gentle, kind, and patient when working with my son, who has special needs. They truly care about their patients. They made us feel as though we were a part of their family from the moment we spoke on the phone until our appointment was completed. It is quite the drive for us. However, I would make the trip any day because of the heart of the staff! I have PTSD with dental work, and as strange as it sounds I want to have my dental work done through them. I will be contacting them soon for my own work. That's how safe they've made me feel. Thank you so much!

Usually I have a great experience at this dental office they're very friendly very kind very gentle. My usual girl is not there for cleanings taking a leave of absence. The young lady that did do my cleaning was thorough but very much not as gentle as I am used to. In fact I was uncomfortable. I will request somebody else for my cleaning next time I go. I'll see how that goes.

I can't say enough good things about this dental practice. I am a vwry difficult patient; and they have shown compassion, patience, professionalism and great care for my health. I feel so lucky to have found them. Thank you Dr H, Jaz and everybody else that makes a visit to the dentist an actual positive experience for a person that really gets stressed out and super tense when visiting the dentist. I had a great experience at Comfort Dental. The staff was pleasant and extremely organized from start to finish. I received multiple appointment reminders. The hygienist, Jasmine, was wonderful. She took her time to explain things and kept the experience stress free. Dr. Goyal was thorough and calm. He took the time to review x-rays and imaging and to explain the plan of care. At the checkout, the provided with a follow up appointment as well as the out of pocket costs expected with my follow up and the amount of time I could expect my follow up visit to take. The communication within the office was excellent as was the care. I never felt pressured to buy products, get Botox, or have other additional procedures performed which was very refreshing.

They definitely make you feel like family! I just had my baby and the Jasmin (dental hygienist) was so good at connecting with my experience she was so understanding of my schedule I just felt so good being in the office it was a wonderful experience! She did a very good job at explaining everything she was doing and what the future visits would look like. The DR was very nice aswell all I have to say is I'm excited to go back to the dentist! Nothing but amazing people and trust me you'll have a wonderful experience!

Comfort Dentist of Plantation is of the best dentist clinic I know. I've been coming here a few times. The staff is super friendly, front desk ladies are amazing explaining all the details with my insurance. Dr David Hohimer is of the best Dentist I know and trust. His knowledge, treatments and experience are top notch. Totally recommend this clinic. If you can't find an appointment they will accommodate it according to your needs. Keep the great work ! After a few years of neglecting my dental health, I initially chose Comfort Dentists due solely to how close it was to my job. After successfully completing all the reccomended work, I can honestly say that the entire staff (From Dr. Hohimer to the receptionists) are a great group that should be a go-to for anyone in need of dental work.

The name 'Comfort Dentists' speaks for itself! I have been going here for years and I am never disappointed by the lovely people who work there and their excellent service.
