BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I had been going to this business in the past, but hadn't been back for a couple of years because of of the unprofessional experiences I've had in the past. They set an appointment but keep you waiting for over an hour and it would have been longer if I hadn't chosen to leave. Staff are rude. Find a private practice, but what ever you do don't go here! If there was a lower score under one star that's what they would get.

So 5 YEARS AGO I went to get dental work done. Got in there, got the procedure done, and gave them my insurance and left. Well they 1. Didn't bill my insurance and 2. Waited 5 years to tell me I had a $300 fine that's not $450 due to late fees. Oh and I didn't mention, I went to a different dentist since then. Well he told meeverything comfort has done in my mouth is absolutely horrible and needed to be redone. I'd give -500 stars if I could

I am in my early '70s and have been to a lot of dentists and I would say that Dr. Ryan Mangrum at Comfort Dental in Montrose Colorado is my favorite of all of them!! He is VERY conscientious and caring!!

Called yesterday and left a voicemail and did not receive a call back. Finally this afternoon I called again and they were able to fit me in. I came early for my appointment and the receptionist did not looks up from her computer and instead put her finger up and told me to wait just a second. I stood there for a couple more minutes and she asked if I needed to check in to which I replied yes. She told me I just need to sign the sheet and go sit down. Very rude and made me feel rather uncomfortable. The assistant that was assigned to me was very kind and pleasant but the dentist that saw me and took X-rays dismissed my concerns and pain in my mouth and docked it down to just needing a cleaning. However another dentist told me I would need a root canal unfortunately. No tests were performed or further investigation into my concerns. I've been there a few times but I absolutely WILL NOT be returning. Completely terrible experience and beside manner and customer service.

Dr. Olson is the newest dentist here and wonderful! They were able to get me an appointment for the very next day after I called and all the staff were fantastic, especially Michelle. Highly recommend!

TERRIBLE experience. I went in in December to get a few fillings, and one of them never stopped hurting. I went in several times after that and they continued to grind it down. Finally, after at least the 3rd time back in they told me that the tooth must be cracked but that there was no way to know for sure so they would have to put a crown on it. My tooth did not have any pain or issues prior to coming in for fillings. After submitting this to be approved for insurance, it was denied. I was told they were submitting it again (multiple times) only to find out they actually hadn't submitted it again when I called back weeks later to check. Now, 6 months later they say actually they don't see any signs of it being cracked and there is nothing they can do besides to come in and have them "look at it again." I haven't been able to eat on half of my mouth for 6 months and they have done absolutely nothing but make this harder and more stressful. I do not normally write reviews but this was the worst dental experience I have had.

I had a few teeth removed over the weekend. I attempted to make a same day appointment a few days later due to pain, I was told I would have to wait 5 days to see the dentist again. I will make an appointment with another dentist. I will not be going back to this location.

I hate this place. Not only did they ignore a cavity that a later dentist told me I had for a while but they also don't respect you. You can't talk and tell them if you feel uncomfortable or else they will say "oh it's almost over" well it wasn't. They also kept charging my family after we payed multiple times. This place was anything but comforting and I tell everyone this. Do not go here.

Honestly had the best dental experience of my life here. I needed an emergency root canal, and they got me in the day I called. Everyone was so kind, and professional. When I first went in I was so nervous and in pain, but Dr. Wood made it easy to relax and seemed to finish my root canal very quickly. I will definitely be coming back for more work to get my teeth 100% in the new year. Thank you Everyone for making my life so much better!

Eva made a normal reminder call to remind me that i had a dentist appointment. I guess she assumed I was sleep or sleepy but she proceeded to call me a liar about being sleep or sleepy. I have not a clue what would promp her to call me a liar or say im lying about something so irrelevant. Her only duty was to remind me that i had a dentist appointment coming up. That was very unprofessional for any calling job. Even if it was a joke, I dont know who jokes like that with a ramdom client like that over the phone. If she can't simply do her job of reminding clients of dentist appointments, why give her the responsibility to call clients.

Pre- first visit: I had searched dentists all day for my husband who's in pain and I only got one to answer (it wasn't them- I hadn't found them yet!) and they said $100 Eval (I didn't ask if it included x-rays) and up to $500 to pull one tooth that was falling apart. I had just given up and went back to search for the place that quoted me and an ad popped up for the first time since searching 'dentist Montrose, co' all day. The ad said 'John Wood, DDC' 10 x 5 star reviews! I called and the receptionist was so patient, so helpful, and the prices blew my mind. When they sent the paperwork for me to fill out online and it said 'Comfort Dental'. I was confused but also understood that the ad was for a doctor, not a practice. I don't feel lied to because my husband did see John Wood, and I got the papers before the appointment. I knew it was Comfort Dental, and their customer service and willingness to help made me want to go there. The visit: My husband was home in less than an hour. He has an appointment for 2 extractions on Dec. 4. Dr. Wood offered to do it day of but it was the day before thanksgiving so my husband decided not to. The evaluation was $19 and with a gold plan (kind of like a super affordable in-house insurance) both extractions will be $240. The one is falling apart (he pulls pieces out regularly and has to pull the gums back from growing over it) as an effect to this tooth the one next to it needed to be pulled. My husband had told me that would probably need to happen seeing as we've ignored it for a long time. I will update this IF there are any issues with our care. We are going with a 3 person gold plan (they take pediatric, our daughter is 4!) I noticed the comments of possible incompetence and frequent staff rotation or problems but so far every single person has been respectful, eager to help, and invested in our best interest. It doesn't always pay (so far) to feed into reviews and I hope that's the case! Very happy so far.

Save your precious time and money if you don't want to meet a rude Doctor-Dr.John Wood who hanged up on me and did not admit his mistake. His unprofessional staff who didn't want to talk to me while I determine refund and apology on unsuccessful procedure. Very disappointing and won't return again.

Excellent service. I called to get an estimate for a wisdom tooth to be pulled. I went in the staff was friendly and the service was fast. They didn't try to push me into anything else and they charged me exactly what they estimated. I would recommend this place!

I wouldn't recommend this place. I had a filling done in April and it fell out in October, went in and had it replaced, and it fell out again by the following March. The dentist I had the first time had the assistant put the filling in and even she acted confused when he told her to do it and walked off. Seemed like she struggled with keeping the area dry while still doing the work, probably why it's fallen out twice. Save your time and go elsewhere.

Absolutely worst place to deal with in town. A different story every time I have called. They set 2 appts to put my crown on, cancel my appointment while I am driving there. Then when I tell them this they interrupt saying NO NO NO NO while I am talking. I never leave reviews, but this place is HORRIBLE. They also gave out personal medical/history of my significant other to another employee who was telling all of her friends..they said they did something about this then rehired her..if you want your personal information violated and to be treated like you owe them something and they are doing you a favor, go here, if not, go ANYWHERE else.
