I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science degree and USC Ostrow School of Dentistry with honors. Upon graduation I worked for a prosthodontist before opening my practice in Santa Monica. Im a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society since 1994.
My mission statement is to provide comprehensive quality dental care to patients with personal attention and gentleness to each individual. A beautiful smile inspires confidence, health and well being. My goal is to create beautiful smiles for my patients as well as help them maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Dr. Homayun received his post doctorate certificate of periodontics and dental implants from Boston University Hospital in 1991. Previous to that he attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois from 1984-1989.
Once Dr. Homayun finished his residency program in 1991, he was recruited by the head of UCLA dental school specifically to teach the art and techniques of periodontal reconstructive surgery at UCLA department of periodontics and dental implants. He served as a professor in this prestigious dental institution from 1991-1995.
In 1995 Dr. Homayun started his private practice as a premier periodontist to some of the most influential people of all time. Dr. Homayun has treated well known politician, philanthropists, mayors, governors, presidents , actors , actresses, musicians, kings and queens of various countries to name a few.
In his 28 years of serving the community, Dr. Homayun has lectured all over the world to thousands of dental professionals. He has successfully placed over 20,000 dental implants and has served as an advisor to several dental implant companies.
Dr. Homayuns vast experiences in the dental field having performed tens of thousands of successful surgeries places him in a very unique group of dental surgeons around the world to take care of any possible condition that his patients present with.

I had my X-rays and consultation completed last week and have been given the run around ever since. I'm still waiting for my X-rays after being told I 'I'd receive them Monday, then Tuesday (today) now I'm suppose to get them tomorrow! SMH, never experienced such poor service. Meanwhile, 1 of the Office Managers calls me while I'm at work today attempting to confirm an appointment for tomorrow which was rescheduled to 7/19/22...When I finally spoke with her again today (6/28/22) she clearly had an issue with the way I articulated and was super sensitive, but then told me she didn't take "HealthMed" either I didn't ask about any health insurance because I'm a cash paying customer...Angel was very kind and polite! Office Management there could use some customer service and administrative skills!

Pain is a part of life. There is good pain such as in giving birth. And there is bad pain such as in eating sugar-filled treats and having to have a root canal. I have experienced both and the pain of the latter is unbelievably worse than the former...whether you believe it or not! I stumbled upon Comfort Dental because of its ties with a dental grant I so desperately needed because, despite being a high school English teacher for over 20 years, could still not afford the dentistry needed after eating so much junk in my life. They found an issue with a molar and a root canal was imminent. The pain that I felt leading up to the root canal was so bad I truly thought I would die. I knew in my heart this root canal was going to be the worst day of my life. I WAS WRONG!!! Dr. Naureen attended to me in the most humane manner. She was so loving and caring and was truly worried about MY PAIN. She made me feel immediately comfortable and safe. She began the procedure. NO PAIN. She continued the procedure. NO PAIN. She had me in the chair for about 1 1/2 -2 hours. NO PAIN. Have you ever had an absolutely PAINLESS DENTAL PROCEDURE in your life? I have...with Dr. Naureen. Words cannot convey my gratitude to express the manner in which she welcomed me, dealt with my issue, gave me the post-op instructions, and even embraced me at the end of my visit. I feel very blessed to have been one of her patients today. Thank you, Dr. Naureen for the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Thank you, Rose and Angel, for being ever so patient with me as well. You are both angels. And I cannot forget Dr. Homayun, who without him, would not be on my way to a superstar smile!

I should start off by saying I've previously written a 5 star review because the dental office offers a discount if you write them a 5 star review. If you're wondering why they have a lot, that's why. I don't have enough room here to list the amount of horrible things I have experienced with this dental office. Their revolving door of staff and dentists should say enough about what kind of establishment this is. I've seen many of their dentists and all talk poorly about one another which is not something a patient wants to hear and completely unprofessional. I was 7 months pregnant when they had a "new" dentist do work on one of my teeth. He botched it so much my mouth couldn't stop bleeding and I fainted. After I fainted they didn't stop, they kept doing work. I was there for almost 8 hours. To top it off, he completely shaved down the new crown so I had to get it replaced weeks later. It fell out 2 times after that. A year later I came back (why, I'm not sure) and pregnant again. I wait an hour to even be seen by a doctor. Prior to this I had to get consent from my OBGYN to do anesthesia and x-rays and they finally do an x-ray and tell me I'll need an crown. I say okay and they do the anesthesia. The receptionist then comes in after all of this and tells me my insurance is out of network and I owe $1200 today. Why was this not told to me before I did anesthesia when I'm pregnant? Their staff is a mess, they never have any clue what is going on. Do yourself a favor and find another dental office.

Monday, June 17, 2019 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in regards to my very positive experiences at The Comfort Dental Center, in North Hollywood on Lankershim Blvd. April 1st 2019, was my very first visit to The Comfort Dental Center; which I found is a wonderful place to receive excellent dental care. Now, I wasn't that impressed with the outside of the building, but so what? I didn't let it sway my decision to be seen there and neither should you. Once inside, I found a well lit office with comfortable seating. I met Rose...whom by the way is absolutely amazing...she has a warm welcoming smile and a kind, tone in her voice. Rose is very dedicated to her job, to the patients and to the company. She is a wonderful manager. Once, I finished the little paperwork...which really wasn't much, I was called in the back by the dental technician, whose name is Angel...which he truly is, he's a real sweetie pie. Angel knows his stuff and he works his behind off making sure that you're comfortable; he is always so helpful. After, my dental surgery and each treatment, Angel would follow-up with me the next day, just to make sure that everything's ok. The back office is always clean and well maintained because; Angel is very concerned with the upkeep and appearance of this area. Oh! And did I forget to mention that they use state of art equipment. Now, let me take this opportunity to acknowledge and express my heartfelt appreciation for my incredibly professional, yet, personable dentist, Dr. Sara, whom by the way is the sweetest, dentist and person ever. Dr. Sara is very knowledgeable and is able and willing to answer any questions I may have had at any time. Let me be clear...To state that I'm scared of the dentist is an understatement...they frickin frighten the hell out of me...with all of those weird looking tools and I'm not even going to start in on that creepy drill they use. Like most people, I am terrified of the dentist; everything about a trip to the dentist is disturbing...on so many levels. Let's just say these are but a few reasons' I avoid the dentist like the plague. Dr. Sara, however, is so gentle, caring and patient with me. Dr. Sara is a very detail oriented person always checking and reviewing whatever she is working on...I like that in a dentist. Dr. Sara provided me with sound counsel and the proper information for which, I will remain eternally grateful. Much could be said about a place, which takes the concerns of their patients to heart the way they do at The Comfort Dental Center. I will continue to be a loyal and devoted patient. All that The Comfort Dental Center staff does is undertaken with sincerity and professionalism. Thank you all, for being so kind and patient when speaking to me. There truly are no words that can really express how I feel; I am genuinely overwhelmed. I surly hope that your bosses are aware of how invaluable you all are. I've been to this location about 3 times now and it's always great. Very clean office and extremely kind, knowledgeable staff. They're very transparent and I've never been surprised by billing, treatment etc. highly recommend and they have parking :)
