Dr. Hansen is a local boy, born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He served an LDS mission in British Columbia. He then attended Utah State University for his undergraduate studies, and met his beautiful wife there. He then earned his dental degree from the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University of Dental medicine in Richmond, Virgina. He loves spending time with his family, camping, golfing, and playing games.
Dr. Hansen has had over 150 hours of extensive post-graduate training in all forms of Sedation Dentistry. He has performed thousands of sedations over the last twelve years, and received his fellowship in sedation dentistry. This excellance in sedation has been recognized by the community and his peers. In fact most people when meeting him and his partners refer to them as the sedation dentists guys.
He also has privileges at local hospitals to perform sedation dentistry with local anesthesiologists. The Idaho board of dentistry recognizes him as a Sedation monitor for other dentists in Idaho who are trying to get their sedation license. Dr. Hansen has substantial training in full mouth dentistry, occlusion, cosmetic, implants, and dentures. He loves learning and does considerably high amounts of continuing education every year. He also has training and expertise outside of conventional dentistry in Botox, juvederm, and oral sleep appliances.
Dr. Hansen has had the pleasure of providing free cosmetic dentistry for a Smile Makeover giveaway to help someone in need get the smile they have always wanted. Dr. Hansen is instrumental in a community day of free dentistry called Smiles From Santa. This free day of dentistry started just in Idaho Falls and is now in Rexburg and Pocatello. Theyve completed well over a million dollars in free dentistry for the needy in Idaho. He also supports and participates in the programs Give Kids a Smile and Missions of Mercy national that provide the needy with dentistry.
Dr. Hansen has a gentle touch and an eye for detail, and patients find it easy to understand their treatment option after their exams. Patients are at ease with his no pain policy. If for any reason a patient feels any pain or discomfort all they have to do is simply raise their hand and he will stop and figure out how to make the patient more comfortable. In fact, he is so diligent about his patients feeling as little as possible that his team tells him that the patient is Hansen numb (meaning that the patient feels nothing when they test for numbness). He is also very gentle when getting patients numb, often they report not even feeling it. He looks at dentistry from an artistic point of view. Intensely analysing his patients for the best cosmetic, comfort, and functional results.
Dr. Nathan George, DDS loves practicing in Southeast Idaho in the Pocatello and Twin Falls areas. An Idaho native, Dr. George was born and raised in Rigby. Hes a third generation dentist following in a long legacy of exceptional dentistry of his father and grandfather.
Dr. George and his wife Kate have four beautiful children, 1 boy and 3 girls who keep them on their toes. Dr. George is fluent in Spanish, enjoys golfing, water and snow skiing, and working in his yard.
Dr. George graduated Cum Laude from The University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in Kansas City, Missouri where he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After completing his degree, Dr. George continued his training and completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. This program provided training in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and full mouth reconstruction dentistry. Dr. George is state certified in IV sedation, and he is dedicated to the newest advancements and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies. Dr. George consistently goes above and beyond the state requirement (15 credits), earning consistently 75+ hours of Continuing Education credits each year.
Dr. George and his family could not be happier to call Pocatello home. He believes that providing state of the art, relationship-based, comprehensive care thats tailored to fit the lives and budgets of his patients, is the best way to provide quality care.

Just got my teeth cleaned for the first time at Comfort Care! You can tell that the staff genuinely cares for each of their patients and wants them to be as comfortable as possible. Very welcoming and professional environment. I highly recommend Comfort Care for anyone who has dental anxiety like me, they make the experience much more enjoyable!

I switched dentist offices after 12 years and chose Comfort Care based on the reviews. After visiting the office I realized the majority of the reviews are given due to raffles and gift cards they give out for leaving the reviews. Something I noticed right off the bat was they only give out toothbrushes and not the replacement heads for the electric toothbrushes. Many adults no longer use a traditional toothbrush, my old dentist had both options and several different head attachments for all major brands. Any good dentist office who truly cares about their patients would have this option. It's not a good sign when an office doesn't invest in their clients. My visit was not pleasant. The Dental assistant and hygienist were WONDERFUL. They were 5 However, the dentist that helped me, Dr. Hansen, put a bad taste in my mouth. He came to review the X-rays and looked at my teeth and simply stated "They look good. No issues." I was going to be getting braces put on, he then replied "Your wisdom teeth may have to come out" I wanted to clarify because the Orthodontist I was seeing told me the ADA recently changed the protocol and said they don't need to come out anymore. He replied again "Like I said, they may need to come out." Very curt and cold. He didn't bother trying to explain the difference in opinions just acted like what he said was fact. I never returned to this place and have found better care elsewhere! Dr. Hansen needs to work on his bedside manner, there is no shortage of Dentists in the area and if you act like your patients don't matter they will find an office who DOES value them.

I wasn't impressed with this place at all. I've gone for about 2 years & recently haven't been too impressed. I've gone to the dentist very regularly (every 6 months) never had pain always super easy. Well two months after my cleaning I went back due to some pain. Turns out to be a cavity so deep it was causing me pain, waking me up in the night. Don't know how they didn't see that when I was at my cleaning. Or at least Let me know there was a cavity there so to look out for it. I'm no dentist but I've talked with a few at different offices, and they all agree that it should have been taken care of before it caused that much pain. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE.

I have been going here for 14 years. They go above and beyond to make it a good experience. Nobody likes going to the dentist especially me. I love that I could have nitrous while watching TV. Now I know no one is perfect so when my bill was off, I went to them and showed them. They immediately fixed it. I feel like I can go to the doctors or staff and they will always make it right. Thanks for all your hard work.

My wife and 5 year old son just returned from a visit to Comfort Care with a terrible experience. The appointment was made for a checkup and cleaning for my son. The Dr spent less than 5 minutes in the room. The cleaning was NOT scheduled and my wife had to request it again. That itself isn't the bad part. From what I'm told my son was acting like a normal scared 5 year old at the dentist. However the person cleaning his teeth did NOTHING to help him through his fear and anxiety. He was not made comfortable in any way. He was continually ignored and told to be quiet when he told the person that it was hurting. Instead of doing anything helpful, they told him "it doesn't hurt, be quiet, you're scaring the other patients." That doesn't sound like comfort or care to me... My wife was practically ignored, talked over, and interrupted by the staff. If you can't handle pediatric dentistry, do not accept pediatric patents. We will be going elsewhere.

I am very blessed to have dental services at comfort care. I have really bad anxiety and everyone at comfort care is kind and caring and I am able to have my teeth taken care of with out experiencing a panic attack. Thank you Comfort Care for helping me to have healthy teeth.
