Dr. Comella opened his own private practice in 2005. Since then, Comella Orthodontics has grown to be one of the top orthodontic practices in the country. When you meet Dr. Comella, you will instantly see not only his passion for orthodontics, but also his commitment to creating an incredible patient experience.

Dr. Comella is a native Rochesterian and graduated from RL Thomas Webster High School. After high school, he entered the US Air Force for a four-year tour which took him to Texas, South Korea, and Mississippi. It was in the Air Force that he started his path in dentistry through his training and work as a dental lab technician. At this time, he also learned to fly aircraft and earned his pilots license.

Following his tour in the US Air Force, Dr. Comella earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Rochester Institute of Technologys College of Engineering. While surprising to some, Dr. Comella believes his education in the field of mechanical engineering laid the perfect foundation for entering the field of dentistry. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery and specialized degree in orthodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Assisting him in the office is Trevor, Dr. Comellas dog. Trevor is a 12 year-old Shiba Inu that regularly comes to the office. Make sure to say hi to Trevor when you stop in he will probably be sleeping on the floor!

In his spare time, Dr. Comella is an extensive traveler and avid adventure-seeker. He loves scuba diving, amateur car racing, skiing, flying airplanes, and he also plays the piano. You should definitely check out the Youtube channel to see all the office pranks, too!

Orthodontists from around the country travel to Rochester to attend this specialized two-day course which includes a lecture on Day 1 and a hands-on, in-office experience on Day 2. This course is a fantastic way for Dr. Comella to further share his experience and expertise.

Dr. Xiomara Restrepo was born and raised in Colombia.She received her dental degree, as Class Valedictorian, from Universidad del Valle in 2001. She moved to Rochester to continue her studies at The Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester. There, she completed her orthodontic residency in 2012. Dr. Restrepo is also a faculty clinical instructor in The Department of Orthodontics at The Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

Some of Dr. Restrepos passions are travel, scuba diving, paddle boarding, skiing, hiking, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She has a nine-year-old son, Jacob, and French Bulldog, Manolo.

Dr. Taylor Squires is a Rochester, NY native and graduated from Fairport High School. Following dental school, he returned to Rochester for his Specialty training in Orthodontics at the renowned Eastman Institute of Oral Health. Dr. Squires is excited to meet everyone as he joins the Comella Orthodontics team!

Dr. Taylor Squires completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University. He then completed his dental degree at the University at Buffalo and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Rochesters Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

He is a huge foodie and spends a lot of time in the kitchen trying new recipes and loves to cook all kinds of food and treats! Dr. Squires also has a passion for music, in the summer you will often find him at concerts and music festivals in the area so be sure to say hello! He has also been playing guitar since he was 10 years old.

He is an active member of American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO). He is also a member of the 7th District Dental Society in Monroe county.

Dr. Steven Kazley has practiced orthodontics for nearly 40 years in the greater Rochester area. Shortly after completing his orthodontic residency training, he opened his private offices in Brighton and Fairport and has since joined Comella Orthodontics in the summer of 2021.

Throughout the years, Dr. Kazley established himself as a well-respected clinician and member of the local community. Dr. Comella and Dr. Kazley have known each other for nearly 20 years and share similar values of treating people well and with compassion. They have similar practice and patient relationship philosophies, which makes working together seamless and cohesive. Together, Dr. Comella and Dr. Kazley make a great team.

Dr. Steven Kazley completed his undergraduate studies at Allegheny College. He then received his dental degree from The Ohio State University and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Rochesters Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

With his orthodontics certification in hand, Dr. Kazley opened his practice in Brighton, New York, in 1985. Within a year, he had opened a second location in Fairport.Dr. Kazley is active in his industry as a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Society, and Monroe County and Seventh District Dental Societies.

When hes not indulging in his passion for orthodontics, Dr. Kazley is indulging in his other passion baseball! He played baseball in college and played for local mens baseball leagues for several years. Hes even coached baseball! He served as a coach mainly in the Penfield area and has instructed players of all ages, from tee-ball players through high school.

Dr. Kazley and his family have been active on many sporting fronts. He is currently active in pickleball and road bike training and racing. He has also participated in freestyle skiing, Crossfit, and has a lifetime of playing and coaching baseball.
