Originally from San Antonio, Dr. Earnest earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas, practicing in his hometown before opening Comal Dental in January of 2013. Hes a member of many prestigious organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Earnest loves being able to build relationships with all of his patients, as well as having the power to put their minds at ease with the help of his dental services.
Dr. Earnest is married to his high school sweetheart Christine, and they have a daughter, Adele, and a son, Bauer. When hes not at the office, he enjoys kayaking, fly-fishing, biking, and spending time with his family in the great outdoors. Follow Dr. on Google+.
A current resident of New Braunfels, Marilyn has been working in her current profession for eight years, and it shows in her skill and enthusiasm as she handles a variety of tasks at the office, including gathering insurance information, reviewing treatment plans for patients, and scheduling procedures. She enjoys the welcoming environment at Comal Dental, and her attention to detail and organizational skills make her the perfect fit for the position. After all, these aspects help her to provide the most accurate information to the patient at all times!
Like Dr. Earnest, Marilyn is also married to her high school sweetheart, and together, they have two adult daughters, one son-in-law, and one beautiful grandson. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, traveling, and science fiction, which is her guilty pleasure.
Currently residing in New Braunfels, Aubrey has enjoyed working as a newly Registered Dental Assistant within the last year. Aubrey greets patients into their room with a friendly smile. She assists with x-rays and provides side-by-side care with Dr. Earnest in all patient treatment. Aubrey appreciates the opportunity to guide and educate patients everyday about their dental health. She also loves the atmosphere of respect for patients and co-workers here at Comal Dental.
With a degree from Texas Tech University and a Dental Hygiene degree from Amarillo College, she is well educated and keeps up with all the latest in oral care. Joanna is a current member of ADHA (American Dental Hygiene Association) and has had experience in using her hygiene skills on a mission trip to Nicaragua in 2011. Her favorite part of her job is making patients smile and helping them obtain the best oral health. She also loves the fun and positive atmosphere here at Comal Dental. Patients appreciate her caring and fun attitude.
Texan born and raised with family all over the lone star state, Joanna relishes in spending her free time catching up with family, enjoying the outdoors, and kayaking on the river. She also enjoys keeping up with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

I have been going to Comal Dental for about 5 years now and absolutely love the staff, I was a bit worried when Dr. Earnest sold the practice but I went today and met Dr. Haag and he was great!! Tracy is my hygienist and I am so greatful for her!! I have high anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist but they always take good care of my needs. I highly recommend this dental office:)

I am very pleased with Comal Dental. Both dentists are great. Very caring and courteous. Holly, dental assistant, was so kind and patient. My hygienist, Tracy, is great too. The staff in the office are so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this dental office. The best I've ever been to.

Just had my first visit with the new staff at Comal Dental since Dr. Earnest left the practice. I was greatly relieved to find that nothing has changed...Comal Dental is still great! Meagan my hygienist was terrific, and my new dentist, Dr. Hanson was gentle, well informed and answered all of my questions....I can highly recommend Comal Dental under its new ownership...A+++...thank you Comal Dental, I appreciate you!

This was my first visit. Front office staff was helpful, polite & friendly. Meagan the hygenist who worked on my teeth - making sure I was ok - answered ALL my questions and speaking with Mr. Haag DDS, I realized this was the best dentist office I've every been to. Meagan's work was exceptional and Mr. Haag is a true professional. His 3D X-ray viewer was really cool. I'm going to get my implant here with confidence! I would recommend them to anyone.

Love the Dentist, But the office staff need to be worked on... Marilyn's personality needs to be worked on. We have switched Dentists because of her. Loved my Hygienist Tracy Brown she is very adorable. You go in there and sometimes they know and sometimes they don't.. We have now since moved on to a new Dentist office and absolutely love the atmosphere . We did not like her way of telling us we didn't had an appointment when they arranged the appointment in the beginning for us and then told us we didn't have an appointment. Will never go back there for Dental work.

This was my first visit, this was for 6 month check-up and cleaning. The reception was very friendly, and the young lady who cleaned my teeth thoroughly and gentle. The dentist checked that everything looked good , I was pleased with the service I received. A grateful new patient.
