When coming to our office for your dental needs, you will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Ludmila Tchakarova, our knowledgeable, friendly and out-going dentist. Dr. Tchakarova is originally from Bulgaria. She graduated at the High Medical Institute in Sofia, Bulgaria and obtained her Dental Degree in 1993.
After arriving to the United States she earned the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree upon completion of three years of the Advanced Standing Program at University of Maryland School Of Dentistry.Dr. Tchakarova has been in private practice in Bulgaria, the United States, and acquired great experience working with multicultural patients becoming fluent in English, Bulgarian and Russian.
She joined Dr. Gaitans Dental practice in 1998 and since 2011 is working at Columbia Prime Dental.She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Howard County Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Every year she attends numerous continuing education classes to stay current with the latest techniques in order to satisfy our patients dental wants and needs.Since 2014, she is involved with Donated Dental Services as a Volunteer Dentist helping those who need it the most.On her down time, she enjoys spending time with her son, hiking and dancing.
When dealing with insurance questions and concerns, Liz, our Office Manager, is here for your assistance. Liz has extensive experience having been working in the dental field for 25 years. She has worked at the front desk and has done everything from greeting patients to handling insurance claims and disputes. We are very pleased to have Liz here at our office. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping with her 14 year old daughter, going to the gym and going to the beach and pool.
Debbie has been a qualified dental assistant for almost 20 years. She worked in Bethesda, MD for 16 years before taking time off to raise her daughter. She began work again at Columbia Prime Dental in 2012. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is interacting with the patients and working alongside Dr. Tchakarova! Debbie lives with her loving husband of 26 years and her yellow lab Max. In her spare time, she enjoys running and drinking coffee with friends.
Sahar graduated in 2014, obtaining her RDH degree from Baltimore City Community College. She has experience working with people of all ages and ethnicities through her dental hygienist work experience in Ellicott City, Laurel and Baltimore Maryland. She has established a reputation for having a positive attitude, demonstration of initiative organization skills, confidence and team spirit. Outside her professional activities, Sahar enjoys spending time with her son and husband.
Ginny has experience working in dental practices for over 25 years in various roles including Qualified Dental Assistant, Officer Manager, and Patient Coordinator. Ginny has a passion for interacting with patients and the dental team to make the office experience as enjoyable as possible. In her spare time, Ginny enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her husband and daughter.
Joanne has been a qualified dental assistant for 20 years. She has extensive experience assisting in wide ranging fields of dentistry including prosthodontics, periodontics & endodontics. She loves working with patients and assuring theyre comfortable. In her free time Joanne loves taking walks at the park and spending time with her family and friends.

I've been going to Columbia Prime Dental for almost 4 years now and I can honestly say is the best dentist I've ever gone to! The staff are always nice & friendly and doctor Tchackrova is always very informative and keeps me abreast about my dental health. She always gives me helpful tips to prolong good dental hygiene. I would recommend Columbia Prime Dental to anybody that's looking for a great dentist!!

My family has had several procedures completed such as fillings, cleanings, consultations, implant completion, crowns, dentures and gum treatments. We have all been completely satisfied. Dr. T and her staff listen to your concerns. They are knowledgeable and helpful. If you have a fear of going to a dentist Columbia Prime Dental will change your mind.
